Made this based on the last D&D game I played in. A couple Carrara renders combined with some FilterForge filters and a little bit of painting in Photoshop.

Thank you Philw and Bunyip02 - the wave and most of the bubbles are modeled (particles using the board as the source) . Some of the splashes and  water was painted in later. Eg the hand drag in the wall :)

    HippoMan

I had trouble with this one when I first looked at it on my iPad... no way could I work out what it was as it was too dark.. on the PC monitor it is a bit easier but IMO still too dark and the corridor overwhelms/detracts from the hippo which I imagine is the main focus of the image.. a great idea which could be much better with lighting adjustments and some DoF I reckon... yes

but... if the dark look is what you are after then totally disregard what I just typed . wink

Hello Stezza, the scene was actually much darker but I used Brightness & Contrast to lighten it up a bit. If I re-did the scene I would put an extra spotlight on front of the Hippoman to light him up a bit, he is dark skinned which does not help. I have to use DOF more in my renders, but I am partial to the clear in focus look for the whole scene.

Was going to do a similar render with the Fokker and Snoopy but you beat me to it. Will have to think up something else.
