I create a render in DAZ Studio of the UltraScenery, then I bring that as a background into my Carrara Scene, bring in my figure, match up the lighting and use a shadow catcher then render out a Carrara image.
Would be nice if the UltraScenery by Howie was Carrara compatible, but alas it needs a work around to use it in Carrara !!!

did you use the DAZ studio one converted to blended weight or the Poser one?
I found the latter no good so did the first
Used the Poser version, had no trouble posing the critter ! Might be different for animation....
I actually animated that in DAZ studio too before saving the scene subset because the cart didn't like loading properly parented in Carrara either.
Sometimes you have to go with the work-arounds to get it to work !!!

I thought that was a photo lol. Do you have a tutorial on your process these all look amazing?
You are a rendering machine
Thanks !!!
Hopefully they do not look too much like a photo.
Methodology - first pass is an image contrast/intensify process such as Topaz Adjust, aim is to make the image "pop".
Next up is use of one or several softwares that filter the image into a non-photo realistic image. Sometimes I might do one pass, other times I might go four or five programs and combine them using layers in Paint Shop Pro. Programs used are Filter Forge, Topaz Studio, FotoSketcher, PhotoDonut, Dynamic Auto-Painter, and PicToPainting.
I have recently bought a Graphics Tablet, and will be expanding into using Painting/Sketching programs as well.
I don't know if a tutorial would be helpful as I find it is exploring the many softwares to get an end result the main part of the process ! Still if enough people were interested I might give it a go.
On the recent surge of renders I had bought quite a few items in the PCFAD and was trying to use those items in renders rather than gathering virtual dust sitting on my disk drives !!! I also have a personal policy of doing at least one render a day.
albatross and dreka both appeal to my NPR sensibilities more than usual (and I really like the NPR domain in general). Your varied results are always intriguing, so when something draws me in more, it's fun to try to figure out why, in such a subjective context.
enjoying the ride, hopefully as much as you seem to enjoy driving.
best,
