ahh was just sharing a live capture of refresh, free DAZ-Deals pretty useless for me anyway except for seeing price history and Readmes
Strange? Not when you consider how many times there have been offers with bad/misleading wording, font colors that cannot be seen against the background, links to wrong/nonexistent pages, items that weren't supposed to be included, etc.
i save big money today. Not into any of the new releases. The DAZ+ easter egg product isnt anything i would use either. what is that thing?
We were told we'd get discounts on new DO weekly release characters if we bought previous weeks. I bought previous weeks and haven't been getting discounts on the characters. There have been discounts have been on bundles.The sales page today makes the same promise.
Moderators, do you suggest I raise a bug ticket?
This was brought up and asked about by myself and some others who have been Daz supporters WAY longer than me. I bought Julia because my understanding from promotion material was that the follow up character would be cheaper if I bought Julia 9. But... I found out that was not correct. With Lawrence you only got a discount on the bundles and NOT on the character. We asked if that could be verified as that was not was described, and no change was made to the orange offers or applied discounts. Because of that, I did not buy Lawrence, though, if I had gotten an extra 20% off on him because I bought Julia, I would have bought him.
So to the point, it probably won't make a difference as they apparently don't want folks buying just the core character each week for the special. The real sales push was to sell the associated bundles.
A buy-in for $97 (both bundles) and one gets just extra 30% off of "Featured Artists", the separate items don't give any discount on anything else but other new items on the promo... Someone has lost all reason.
It was a pretty bad idea IMAO that they didn't support Ati-s plug-in (DAZ-Deals) anymore. I spend way less because of the changes. I won't say just because of it, but I don't bother anymore to check the shop so frequently. No e-mails, so no time spent at the shop browsing because of flash sales or wishlists...
Same here, especially now that the free 'show only wishlist' feature is gone. I just don't have the time to go through dozens, sometimes hundreds of pages of items to find stuff I might want. It'd be different if we could sort by props, hair, figures, clothes etc., but that feature has been requested for so long and never been realized, I kind of gave up hope on that.
As I recall the text is actually nest character release, which doesn't guarantee that it will apply to the base character. We have, however, pointed out that the phrasing might be open to other readings.
For this Grab Bag Flash Sale, I put a New Release over $1 in my cart, then some of the discounted items - when do they get converted to the $2.99 each price for DAZ+ members? The cart doesn't show the items at $2.99.
Agree. This sale is not dropping prices to $2.99, not in the cart and not at checkout. I am DAZ+ and have 2 new items in the cart.
I will go ahead and say just because of it. The store is pretty painful to navigate without the premium features.
Look at the individual catagory descriptions. Only items in the pre-Genesis 8 and the Legacy catagories get the $ 2.99 pricing for DAZ+ members.
Yeah... had a look, mostly poses and such... If there was G3 era environments/architechture/props with Iray, then it would be somewhat interesting.

I think the code for the "Fun Friday" flash sale should be DISAPPOINT, or if that's too long, SUCKS.It was fun while I thought I could get a few things off my wishlist. But no, it's limited to items on my Nope List. Just like the Lightning Sales.
Maybe it's fun for Daz to not sell to me?
And as DAZ seems be very active in doing changes to the shop, the premium features seem to stop working quite often (not their maker's fault of course) which keeps me from wanting to pay them. But it's okay, as I probably wasn't in the "Big Spender" category anyway and DAZ surely doesn't miss the couple €s I spent here each month...
I did find 7 items in Fun Friday, but the Lightning Sales have been a disapointment since the beginning, the current one is offering M4 textures "Just for you at $5.59" (have been $1.40-$2.54 earlier)
I somewhat like Lightning Sales. Sure, most of the stuff has been a miss (like you say, old products for a price I wouldn't pay for them), but every now and then there's something interesting. I got a few items from my wishlist too, and I bought 2-3 at a very nice price. Yesterday, I got Aynia for $2.06 (this included the "30% off extra" code, before the price was around $2.90). It also makes me check the store more which means I'm more likely to spot any new flash sales/coupon offers.
City Waterway is exactly what I needed. Predatron is killing it.

Yeah, I didn't even catch the waterway until you pointed it out, it looks fantastic. I've got two tokens from yesterday, I know what I'm snagging today with them!
I just bought the boat. The damn mast/sail isn't configureable in any way. In fact: nothing is.
Oh, and you can't hide the lame sail without losing the roof too. What a lazy effort :(
I don't tend to do instant purchases much, but this one was one of those.

I'm disappointed with the latest Fugazi/Ironman realeases. They are among my favorites for environments but the promo shots for Old Home Bunker and Alchemist Lair are so dark I can't see anything. I know, it's realistic lighting, but forget realism, throw in some ghost lights so we can actually see what's in there. In addition, there is no promo shot of the props. I sometimes buy an environment for the props alone, but not if can't see them. I probably would buy one or both if they had better promo shots, but not like this.
the proper lighting gives packs depth and realism which makes it marketable so you're going to have that. Just a bright lighted room with stuff in it doesn't create excitement. The other promos however should be standard lighting showing everything but not the main promo.
That's happening to me constantly, the new items vanish after a few seconds and I need to refresh the page several times for it to stop. I think it may be the Daz Deals extention, I haven't disabled it yet but I may see if that solves the problem and finally get rid of it all together if that fixes it.

if I need to find a readme or see price history on an item I can always enable and refresh but that's not often
