Having hard time finding stuff to use the tokens on... 85% off at best with the 40% token discount and often the items have been on sale for less in the past.

Hoping for a decent sale tomorrow ...

the tokens dont work with the DAZ+ PA coupon? I have a couple things from the flash sale. The coupon works by itself. The tokens work by themselves. If I try to add the coupon after the tokens, it says invalid. If I add the coupon and then the Tokens, it deletes the coupon.

The tokens and DAZ+ coupons are useable together. However, are you by chance trying to use the 'SAVE6' coupon and the tokens reduce the cost of elibible items to less than $18? In that case the 'SAVE6' coupon (which requires $18 of non-new items) would no longer be applicable.

thats probably it. So a discount allows you to spend more money to get a discount. Might as well forget the tokens and just use my $6 off and come out better.

So far I haven't found anything in this Lightning Sale that would have interested me, but of course I don't check the offers every three hours.

I would like it if the algorithm would search my wishlist and make me offers on this...  :-D

I sometimes wonder if the sale algorithm generally looks at my W/L and excludes the items on it! wink

Right! After all, there could be a risk that I buy these items... wink

I guess I misunderstood DAZ's ad copy. Yesterday there was a sale that said "Flash Sale Weekend Fun" for "Fun in the Sun items" with no end time specified. So I thought the items would be on sale all weekend and waited until today to purchase in order to save my tokens.  But lo and behold the items are not on sale today and I missed out on an item I wanted. crying

same here. In fact, I had easter egg 3 of 4 in my cart too, and not purchasing resulted in me missing it.

The lightning deals are definitely random: I received an offer for Scott 6 Starter Bundle although I own the Pro Bundle, lol.

Kept trimming down my final cart, waiting for something better to turn up, but no... Pulled the trigger at $30 to end the misery.

Getting up for work at 9PM DazTime. Still have 7 tokens to use if they come up with something worth while when we on this side of the pond are sleeping, but...

Expected the same from the "Weekend" Fun sale; would have bought a few items, but I put it off until today only to see it's no longer active.

It appears to be pretty much the same. But one of them gives me "oops" for a shop page. Question would be, why +- if it would be safe to use "Havana Street", if you owned it.

(A rename might make sense for better title and keywords, but what with previous buyers? Not that it would matter to me in this very case, but in general an "oops"-page doesn't allow me to buy any add-on licenses, for instance.)

They changed the name because PayPal doesn't like anything Cuban.

It is the same product, it was simply renamed beause the previous name was causing problems when buying with Paypal (Paypal blocks transactions when the product description includes specific words, and that list seems to include anything which could be even remotely related to Cuba among other things).

Using the previous version should not be a problem, there wasn't anything wrong with the original product it's just that renaming the product is much easier than trying to get Paypal to stop blocking the purchases.

Regarding licence add-ons, you might want to check with Daz directly but I think you should be able to buy just the license for the new version of the product.

Havana Street was SKU 89591 and the promo on the new product is SKU 89787 and is word for word (except for the name of the product) from the promo pages I printed when I bought Havana Street.

This promo is very frustrating to those that have a Real Life... sad

    Got lucky with lightning sale:

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-nainai-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

for $3.08 (86%)!! I loved it right from the beginning, but kinda forgot about it...

We have reported the apparent issue with Havana/Vintage Street - if theya re identical 9and certainly the promo images seem to match the ones in the Product Library page and Readme) with luck they will be able to fix it, perhaps by adding the new product to our accounts, to make sure we get it marked as purchased and don't miss any updates.

Guess it's a good thing I don't live in one of the eleven cities named Havana here in the US one of which is only an hours drive West of me here in the Texas RGV

It is more likely PayPal doesn't want to risk being party to a transaction that might be against any heavily enforced (read "big fines and worse") laws. In addition to the Cuban themed models, it has happened with 1 or 2 Ancient Egypt themed items. I believe several older products that used to have Lolita in their names were quietly renamed, as well.

I'm hoping this is what they do.  I bought Havana Street before the rename, and it'd really, REALLY suck for DAZ to simply pull-and-rename a product without adding it back to our accounts, especially given the inability to update.  Following, Richard, for when this thread is updated.  Thanks for looking into it!

Thank you for bringing this up. I did a comparison of the readmes. Initially they appeared to differ. Havanah transfered pretty much as it should but Vintage looked like it was missing half the files and the order differed. After I seperated each file onto it's own line the line count for the files matched at 689. I highlighted the Vintage files in gold left Havanah no highlight, renamed Havanah to vintage and sorted A-Z and could differenciate between the two based on color gold =  Vintage.

There were plenty of mismatched names but all were due to irregular spacing between the product name and the word Street and FlowerBasket vs Flower Basket. Once I cleared that up I came up with a 100% identical file structure in the readmes. These appear to be absolutely identical products which is good news if DAZ confirms such.

Edit: added a screen shot showing only difference existing in readmes, namewise. So if they put it in our cart as owned, it would seem wise to delete old and download/install new because names differ.

Edit: Also Kudos to Feng. The naming  in Havanah was very consistent and Feng did a great job, so the mismatched, inconsistent spacing between words seems to be isolated to the renamed/new product.

From my personal experience these PayPal troubles with certain words probably are a very regional thing. Here in Germany I never had any problems with PayPal not doing a payment I did over them.

You are welcome. Looks like DAZ isn't the only one renaming products. I'm calling Havana, Havanah. One cannot function well on two hours of sleep per day . . . deep heavy sigh.

Not for me. I thought I collected all four but it seems something went awry with part 3 of 4. It was in my cart. I have the screenshot, but no invoice.I probably hit disconnect and walked away from the PC before it processed . . . or it could be about the moment that I heard the crash of shattered glass, as my hubby dropped the glass lid to one of our larger fish tanks . . . or it could have been when I left to give one of my dogs her post surgery meds . . . or maybe . . . I lost two of my brothers last year, and one was a real prankster . . . maybe I have ghosts in the house who are upchucking  things out of my cart. Who knows?

    so many alchemy labs

we need a decent morphing leech for real medieval medicine

yes seen this https://www.daz3d.com/worms but need a jar of leeches, bloodletting poses, ones bloated with blood

a bit of head trepanning wouldn't go amiss either

I keep seeing articles about leeches being used in modern medicine today. It creeps me out so much I blank out where I have seen the references though. But your suggestion is a good one. I could see a patient scooting up in the bed as a doctor pulls out one to lay it on her/his/their leg to treat them. And the expressions.

I was just about to post the leeches could be used with the modern medical sets, myself. And yes, the leeches are gross. I have a degree in Zoology and worked in microbiology for years so have a bit of expertise in both animals and gross stuff. :)

Come to think of it,  leeches might go with the plague doctor outfits.

I am told that everyone who purchased the Havana Street should now also have the Vintage Street - it's certainly been added to my product library.
