Yes it's in mine
I really miss the tokens. I haven't bought anything (except freebies) since they stopped. Of course this is also partially the result of being out of store credit and the poor discounts on gift cards.
...admittedly of all the sales gimmicks and ideas, I feel the tokens actually worked pretty well. When stacked with other discounts and coupons I really got some good deals almost reminiscent of when I first started with this 3D thing. Yeah they still had a somewhat short "shelf life" (one week) but you didn't lose any if you didn't make a purchase every day.(like that annoying punch deal a couple months ago where if you missed one day of buying something you had to start all over).
Made my first purchase since the tokens went away with the "EVEN-BETTER", which they tried to hide from us europeans, but they can't hide them from me as I get up already at 9PM Daztime.
The stacked discounts didn't get to MM level, but 85% off anyways
...thought about the coupon (particularly since it worked on new releases) but it's the end of the month, finances are tight, and I don't get my pension deposit for another week.
the tokens would have been nice if they lasted a bit more then just one week, maybe two at least.
Also I guess that March Madness will keep returning every month
"This is the sale that never ends.
It just goes on and on, my friends.
Some people started following it, not knowing what it was.
And, they'll continue following it forever, just because;

I liked the punch card better once I understood how it worked.
To make sure you did not mess out on the best deals you just had to spend $2 each day. In 1 week that means you only had to spend about $14 per week to make sure you were ready for what ever special deal they would release/announce. I bought Daz+ items only to make sure I had at least my $2 a day.
With the tokens you had to spend $40-$80 each week for 1 good cart discount. You would then have to spend another $40-$80 (could be from the previous big cart discount if it was a big purchase) to be able to get a good discount again. And if you did not use those tokens you got to reset and respend a bunch again the following week. The tokens gave a great discount, but had a much higher buy in to keep the discount going. The Daz+ items were so heavily discounted during the punch card stuff Black Friday-December, you could get a ton of Stuff at a great deal just keeping the punch card $2 expense going. I got so many 90-97% discounts between Black Friday through New Years and I just had to spend $2 each day to make sure I did not miss out on the best possible deals.
Probably about 75% or more of my library came from mega discounts during December and was bought for 90% or more off.
With double tokens on Mondays and Tuesdays, one only needed to use $40 to get the first 8 tokens. I usually collected the tokens with items that would not have been any cheaper even with the tokens (fast grab and grab bags)
During MM, it wasn't hard to keep ones tokens up at 8, because there was so much one was able to buy at 92% to 99% off using the 40% token discount. I had to force myself to throw stuff out of the cart to keep my wallet still (barely) alive. Average for my carts was $2 per item at 92% off and that included the required buy-ins.
Are tokens back? My cart now says I have 5 available but if I try to apply them nothing discounts.
The March Madness was like stretched over like 6-8 weeks? How long of that had tokens? There was some weeks having 8 tokens would allow for an amazing discount, but some of those weeks they were ok based on what you were looking for. I said $40-80 because I meant the $40 for if you managed accumulating them during the 2x token days. Problem being, though, was did I want to buy stuff during the 2x token day stuff that I might not realy want to just be ready for a discount/special later in the week that might instead be the following week. It started in February and ran into April. I ran into a lot of problems with the the 2x token days not having things in grab bags I wanted. So a possible $40 waste on items I might not really want to be "ready" for something later in the week I would really want. I guess I got so many pro and mega bundles in December for $5-$8 (including the buy in cost) with only having to have spent $2 a day, that I don't like the idea of having to spend $40-80 to be ready for the deal that week that might not come.
In your screenshot, there was also something strange... "Use your 5 tokens before SOME of them expire"... Don't remember that from before.
I think the tokens were in use for the last 4 weeks of MM and one week after MM had ended. During the first two weeks one was able to get the tokens by buying Gift Cards, or one was able to do it the second week if one did it before they got to work at DAZ HQ.
The best discounts were every second day, when DAZ+ items were included in "Featured Artists", those days I really had trouble controlling myself
I don't have any tokens, but in my cart I have the "spend X more to get Y more tokens" notification, and it says that tokens expire in 705 days 08 hours 35 minutes 21 seconds...
A glitch or are they back, and this time in a less fleeting manner?
Hey THAT isn't fair, I don't have any tokens either, but it says they will expire in just 1 day and 8 hours.
Sounds like a glitch then... It's just a question of whether the whole token thing is a glitch or you just got a wrong timer glitch. I hope moderators will be able to share some insights with us, because I have $0.02 missing to the next token, and I'm deciding whether I want to shuffle my cart. ;)
During December I managed to get the below items for around between 90-97% off with paying around $5.50-$7 (inluding the buyin cost). The most expensive item in the list cost me a little less than $10 with the lowest being around $4 (those prices including the buy in cost.)

I managed to snag all of the above amazing deals and the only thing I had to do to make sure I was ready each day for the sales was buy something for $2 the day before. Not $40-$80 each week for one big buy. Thus why I liked the punch card. I can see the punch card totally sucking for folks who forgot to buy a $2 items each day or did not understand you needed to buy the item the day before to qualify. But if you "did" just buy 1 $2 item each day, you potentially made out AMAZING in December. So to each their own, but for me, the punch card was MUCH better.
Now if I had been able to continue getting tokens via gift card purchase past the week with the Joan 9 Elf Add on, then I would have loved them more.
The last banner on the main page says they're back by popular demand.
"Popular demand" = Sales dropped too much
Good work catching it, I didn't notice it.
As a side note, it also says "offer expires Apr 29"...
The text on the token page has also changed... "They expire after 4 days", although the fine print still says "Daz Tokens expire every Sunday at 23:59 MDT"
Edit: Too late to catch that train as it's 1AM already and I need to wake up at 6AM...
The text on the rotating banner says the offer expires on Saturday, but when u click through it mentions Sunday, very strange.
I'm glad Tokens are back., even if only for a few days. I had a budget to stick to, and as I was shuffling things around deciding what to buy (or not), there they were. So I got everything I really wanted within budget.
doesnt appear to have an expiration date?
Edit: I just started shopping and realized the selection of discounted items isn't as extensive as during March Madness despite the flashback sale, and several items I'd had in mind are starting from base price. Thinking maybe I'll just hold onto the tokens and see if anything interesting pops up before they expire.
With the MM ended, the tokens alone were not enough last week. I think I'll pass this time.
...trouble with that is due to a slim budget I have to be somewhat "choosy" and purchase items I will actually have a use for. Also there aren't a lot of 2$ items anymore unless you purchase really old Daz+ ones (that I've already passed on before).
The tokens tended to work out much better as when something on my wishlist was on sale I'd get it (usually on 2x Token Mondays (and the one Tuesday) where I scored most of my tokens. They were also good for pretty much anything in the store as well as stacked with coupons & other discounts. If you missed buying something a day here or there, you weren't penalised.
I spent a huge amount the last two weeks of MM. Although there was a GC sale yesterday, Tokens are back and I'm offered a discount for owning Lawrence I have to cut back spendings. And I guess that won't change much until October.
why does the new stuff flash up for a second then it reverts to yesterdays new?
I cleared my cookies
F5 doesnt fix it
Ctrl+F5? It seems fine to me and I haven't heard any other complaints.
