advanced spotlight with linear falloff
quick test render of an action scene. The sea dragon's neck has around 10 segments.
i spent 25 minutes adjusting the lights. Curtains have velvet shader on them.
very nice - like the lights
thanks for the comments bigh.
Here is the same scene in LuxRender. I forgot to adjust the materials.
It is too late to start over. I'll adjust the materials tomorrow.
I set the lampshade's material to glass. I'll play around with the material settings some more.
Looking good so far, though you might want to turn off the visibility on the skirt's handles.
yes, i forgot about the pose handles.
Here is a single-core 32 bit Windows version. The textures are blurry because I forgot to set the shading rate to 0.30 or lower. I finally bought Backdrops Made Easy Windows and Doors when it was on sale a few days ago.
edit: I forgot to mention that I used 3Delight. I don't want to use Luxrender on a slow computer. :D
I was playing dress up with Teegra and ended up with this scene.
The shirt has no tearing because Teegra's breasts are set to normal.
I didn't feel like doing any fancy renders. Maybe next week I'll work on the older renders.
The second render has natural breast gravity morph number 0 set to 0.50.
I just noticed that boudoir bliss comes with bows. The garter around the legs look weird without the stockings.
no complaints about women in lingerie? Ok... I'l post some more renders later. :)
edit: I forgot to mention that I should change the color of the outfit from blue to another color. Blue and orange/yellow seem to clash together.
I'm playing dress up with the humans again. Nylon stockings and shorts. Scene needs better lighting because the shadows are overpowering. I'll fix the scene after dinner.
I need to install some more furniture. White stockings and black shoes.
edit: sorry for the small size. I forgot to change the render size.
scene has Uber area light with no other lights
Memory usage: 1.7 GB
I meant to load mall girl instead of 17 chic. I'll fix the scene tomorrow.
This little scene uses 850 MB of memory? Wow. I'm going to render Teegra without the top or hair to see how much memory the new scene will use.
Memory usage: ~575 MB. Artistic nude. The scene needs work. I'll fix it later.
Umm.. Nude is not needed in the Post. Furred characters are not considered to be Nude. The Fur hides the bits that break the TOS.
well, she is not wearing any clothes other than the garter or slippers. :D I couldn't think of any other title at night. I guess I could title the render unclothed Teegra near the wall.
I'm waiting for my new video card to arrive. Too bad it won't fit inside the slim PC that has the dual-core Intel processor.
Hey Starion, I'm just goofing on you... Your all good. I hope you keep at it and can move up to more power soon. You will be fun to watch when you can do bigger scenes. Not that your not fun now.. just limited in what your able to do. That's a Pity in My View.
It is frustrating playing games at 10 frames per second. lol Plus, the $35 dollar video card has slow OpenGL performance when many objects are in the scene. Intel's HD4000 integrated graphics chip isn't better even though it runs at a faster clock speed. The old Intel IGP aren't made for gaming or heavy 3D programs.
edit: forgot to mention that Amazon finally shipped the video card. I ordered it Wednesday morning. Amazon is slow to ship products now. They usually ship products the day after I order them.
Me playing with boudoir bliss again. Black stripes under fishnet stockings look weird. I'll upload another render after I eat lunch. I still need to buy handy for Genesis. I thought it costs $12 but it is $7.95. I guess the store was acting up a few days ago.
The lighting is a tad dark. I'll play around with the lights some more.
this thread has received 150 views in one week? wow. I didn't realize how popular renders Teegra wearing Boudoir bliss is. lol. I'm going to play with the lights and different colors of lingerie. I thought I had another lingerie set for Genesis. If I don't then I'll load one of Victoria 4's set and wait for autofit to conform the clothing.
some computer games don't run any better after I installed the new video card. What a shame. I guess they aren't designed to offload their complex calculations to the graphics card. The other 25% of my games require Windows Vista or 7 and DirectX 11 to look great. I haven't tried using Poser 9 with the new card. The preview window and interface ran slow on my old video card.
World of Warcraft is one of the few games that run decently on my single-core computer. The new video card runs hotter than my old one.
edit: World of Warcraft is also one of the few games that actually utilizes the GPU. I'm going to play with Poser now.
Apparently, I forgot to reinstall Adobe flash after I reinstalled Windows XP.
Dana with a bright spotlight. Poser 9's interface is more responsive now. The old video card was too slow. I'm going to play with the lights now.
Teegra in Luxrender. I forgot to put the stockings on her.
I just noticed that the nightshirt is transparent. Cool.
I'm still tempted to buy an AMD Sempron 145 Sargas @ 2.8GHz to see how much faster it is compared to my current AMD CPU. I can always upgrade the processor later. Hey, I might even keep the Sempron 145 computer and use it for online shopping and watching tutorials on Daz Studio and Carrara.
edit: I forgot to mention that a Sempron is a single-core processor in case anyone is not familiar with Semprons.
edit 2: Second Life uses so much memory. At least OpenGL runs three times faster in my new card.
one more comment about my video card and the 3D directX games: I saw some official screenshots of the games that I am having issues with. These screenshots look a tad blurry. Maybe I'm just used to looking at high quality 3Delight and LuxRender images instead of real-time game renders. :)
Even Victoria 4 looks better than most game models, at least on my computer.
