I like the thumbnail view of the content pane because I can see thumbnails of my scenes.

Tests with the volumetric camera. I used the same volumetric settings for both scenes.

The second scene with the unicorn uses 2.5 GB of memory.

Tip for Poke through, the Polygon Group Editor. Just Hide the poky parts.

Ah, I forgot about hiding parts. Thanks for the tip.

Riding habit uses about 900 MB of memory. Wow.

One more render of Justin in Mall Girl outfit for old times sake.

This scene uses 800 MB. I am using the single core computer with 32 bit windows.

Julie has skin lighting model set to skin. Justin has his skin lighting model set to plastic. I should look for a tank-top for Justin.

One more render of Justin in Mall Girl outfit. Now I will look for some tanktops. lol

I've set his skin lighting model to skin instead of plastic. Next time I should add sub surface scattering... if I remember.

Not necessarily. It's only a silly cultural belief that only girls get to wear pink and pretty dresses ;)

My 4 year old nephew insisted on wearing a skirt on his b-day.

I'd say bring on the guys in girl's clothes!! (Besides, there really is more girl stuff to wear for our poor models anyway, what choise do we all have? ;) )

    thanks for the comments.

I finally found a solution to the poke-through regarding the latex shaders. I need to set the minimum and maximum displacement values to 0.

Andrea and Aaron wearing latex clothes. I've heard of latex paint but not latex clothes. Latex is shiny. I'm going to work on some older scenes now.

This scene uses 850 MB of memory. I dressed Andrea in a bikini because I am running out of memory on my single-core computer. Maybe I'll create a more fancy scene on the other computer.

    Justin can wear blue too.

The second scene has the new bus stop in volumetric atmosphere. The bus stop is a bit bright for my tastes.

Both renders use about 2.2 GB of memory. I always forget to adjust the skin settings and the shadow samples before I render the scene.

If Justin likes pink, then let Justin wear pink. If he wants ruby slippers, then the boy should have ruby slippers. No more sexism. Freedom for all.

I added Victoria 4 to one of my old scenes in Daz Studio 3. I then applied Mara's texture to V4. Mara's skin does not look like the skin in the promotional images. lol

This scene took about 8 minutes to render on my single core computer. I used one spotlight and one distant light. I set the shadow samples to 4.

LOL!! Well the Promo's use the best lighting the Artist can set up. So your two light setup just can not match the promo settings. It still looks good to me in your render.

    Thanks for the comments.

Let me try uber area light and the SSS version of her skin. The shadows still look fuzzy after I set the shadow samples to 6. I'll use a higher number tomorrow.

I rendered the second image in Luxrender. As usual, I forgot to setup the materials.

Mara with subsurface scattering, without SSS and Cassie with SSS.

I used the lighting that came with Easy Environments oasis.

10 year Cassie is cute. The lighting is from Easy Environments Eternal Sands.

Edit: here is the new image. Cassie with subsurface scattering does look darker than Cassie without SSS.

I've set the shadow samples to 16 in both scenes.

In the second scene, I applied the elite human sub surface shader to Justin The light in the second scene is supposed to be yellow.

Nice work there. The little blonde girl looks like she's about to fall out of that dress. It's not exactly designed for girls that "small". :red:

Justin is small too. Young Bree and Justin are wearing the same outfit. The shadows are too harsh for my tastes. I'll play with advance distant light later.
