Base render from Carrara postworked with Topaz Adjust 5 for colour correction, then Fotosketcher Watercolor 5 filter as base with an overlay of FilterForge Chinaware filter at about 40% transperancy.
great thanks for those details that's very handy!
Happy Python Day - Cow Chucking Device - after Cripmen'a blue print tutorial - used also filter forge old photo and topaz impression :)
Rendered out gouraud and NPR outline - combined in post - using gouraud layer at 45 percent opacity
Great! Now where are the plans for the wooden rabbit tower?
Thanks for the details, Bunyip! You are very generous as always. At some point I will have to look into Filter Forge. And Topaz (in all its varieties), for sure.
You seem to be developing a highly useful workflow.
Hilarious and awesome!
I just now figured out how to "render gouraud" using the draft render mode. Carrara has so many options. I know that I am still very much a 3D rookie, but I wonder 1) how I will ever be able to remember how to do everything, and 2) why anyone would think that Carrara does not have enough usable features.
Just last week I began learning how to use displacement. Amazing what it can do to a flat jpeg.
+1
thanks cdordoni yes the rabbitt tower is being developed :)

not sure where this fits - bit of fun with fox and shadow catcher

Off with the fairies this time around.
thanks,
wow thats wonderful!!! best one yet??
Thanks Headwax - hopefully they will get better as I keep learning and getting better skills as a result.
Zeppelin & Wyvern
Bubyip, awesome! How did you get Wyvern work in Carrara? My Wyvern doesn't want to work, neither it get posed.
Hello Vyusur, thanks - I assume you are talking about RawArts Wyvern for Dragon 3 ?
I load my Wyvern using the character tab in the RawArt Wyvern character category, have had no problems with it and it poses fine.
Clean lines. Creative background. Very nice.
Rather than ask, I'll assume that you are using a filter(s) that I don't own yet.
Bunyip - add my admiration to the blimp + wyvern images.
Here is something I put together using Carrara dynamic hair and Philemo's hair converter to get an NPR image that matches hair with photoreal and toon renders. I also mixed with a Filter Forge filter set to 30% (so 70% with the Carrara composite).
EDIT: Mostly focused on the hair result - kudos to Philemo because that part seems to be a success to my eye.
.
Thanks UB
