Bunyip - add my admiration to the blimp + wyvern images.
Here is something I put together using Carrara dynamic hair and Philemo's hair converter to get an NPR image that matches hair with photoreal and toon renders. I also mixed with a Filter Forge filter set to 30% (so 70% with the Carrara composite).
EDIT: Mostly focused on the hair result - kudos to Philemo because that part seems to be a success to my eye.
.
hair and wribkles on clothes look ths job.
be interesting to see this rendered with no shadows and then superimposed on this image and opacity varied to suit -as far as getting an illustration effect
Carrara render postworked with Topaz Adjust for colour correction, Fotosketcher Oil Painting 6 filter as base, Filter Forge Old Book Illustrator filter overlaid at 40 % transperancy, and finally Rons Vintage Backgrounds https://www.daz3d.com/ron-s-vintage-backgrounds-and-overlays at 50% transparency but multiplied instead of overlaid.
Much appreciated! But I really need to stop asking. I only hope that you are logging in your settings somewhere. Interesting styles that you are developing.

Horse
ship in this looks terrific, maybe the wyvern contrast / tone is too dark so it comes forward rather than backwards in atmopsheric depth?

also a little NPR outline :)
Hello Headwax, thanks for the feedback - was originally going to do the Wyvern in a lighter shade of green - next time !!!!
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
Headwax, I do have the shadow pass and the NPR render so will try to follow up on your suggestions.
Here is something for a 7 theme in the PC forum. Snow White and the 7 Line Dancers
pleasure Bunyip02
Diomede that's a really excellent piece, great colours and lighting. Snow White is very sexy as a line dancer
Just saw this, what a great effect on the horse and the vegetation!
Bubyip, obviously I have quite another Wyvern, https://www.daz3d.com/wyvern-2-0
Diomede, very cool and spectacular show!
Boot scootin beauty !!!!!
Thanks Headwax
Vyusur, I have that Wyvern as well and have had no problems using it or posing it.
Bunyip, love your Red Wyvern art. I will make another attempt to use this guy in Carrara.
not sure if this will show , it was 20 mb,
used old fashioned clouds and landscape duplicated with surface replicator
worked up in topaz impression
Beautiful scenery, Andrew! Recently I downloaded Topaz Simplify but, alas, it doesn't work with anything but photoshop.
The lines look fantastic on the zepper, Bunyip02 - great job. I've seen this ship before, and always admired it. Steampunk Elf technology FTW!

Outstanding job on the postwork, head wax. Very dramatic image. I like the HDR effect and how detail in the shadows remains.

thank you Vyusur , I think Simp-lify might work with other image editing programs though? here are the instructions for using it in Gimp https://support.topazlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/200516828-Is-Topaz-compatible-with-GIMP-
thanks algovincian , that's very kind. I had fun with this one :)

Too dumbfounded to comment.
I really like this ... would make a nice print.
How did you get the combing effect on the landscape?
thanks UB it was fun to make a landscape render :)
thanks!!
I used my image found here https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2833876/#Comment_2833876
and ran it through filter forge's engraving filter (hence those groovy ridges and sinkhole things )
made a displacement map and a normal map from that texture map using shadermap software (mentioned in the freebies thread recently)
used the displacment map in the terrain tool
then used one of Dart's excellent environkits shaders as the terrain shader (cant really see it in the black and white)
there's another terrain here made with the output of ShaderMap https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2816961/#Comment_2816961
the bright lights in the sky are some alien plants with a glow replicated on a squashed invisable sphere
Gorgeous, nice woking method as well !!!!!
thanks Bunyip02 :)
Asteroid hunters
Love it!
Thanks TA - excellent set, looking forward to the rest of the ship.
great illustrative effect - bettere and bettererer and beteerererer :)
Thanks Headwax
