And I am baling out from this convo.    What do you think this is, a complaint thread?

Rather than bail out, why not bring this suggestion to those who can maybe make it happen?  (or even if you do bail out of the discussion)

    Dana

Because there are several long running threads which are doing just that,  which are being monitored by Daz_People.  Some of them have even been started by DAZ-Peeps, in order to collect up the feedback.  Posting in an official or recognised thread is far better than using fun threads on the forum to make comments which only serve to spoil the fun convo threads.

I want to know what the guy who came up with the word "dongle" was thinking... Actually I'm pretty sure I know, but it's pretty funny it took... But the runners up were probably "Wangle" and "Schlongle".

Pigtail is the term everyone uses in public since the donglegate thing :)

Everthing there is fodder for me to make a long Wikipedia type post on the topic... Donglegate... Based on the Bill Clinton fiasco?  Pigtail... Based on the male medical condition... Right?

Great, now I need to rebuild my Flux Capacitor before next year:

    1.21 GIGAWATTS! surprise

Hmm... 400 HP... That would be weird... Seeing a DeLorean go faster than 88 mph... I hope they succeed at this, from what I heard there have been a couple of tries that failed before the projects even took off... Actually, I'm wondering... Didn't someone actually make a couple in the 90s?... I have to look that up, (maybe it was some other rare/discontinued/aborted car) I vaguely remember seeing a real DeLorean with a 1990something registration sticker some years back and the owner telling me some long tale about it... I used to go to a lot of car shows, years back... But now it's all getting fuzzy.

    Fuzzy?

    My brain!

I'd love to believe that the decision makers at DAZ listen to the wants and needs of the unwashed peasant masses... (We really need to bathe more) But the Easter Bunny always reminds me to listen to what Santa and Bigfoot said when we were having lunch with the Loch Ness Monster last month... If it's not on the roulette wheel of destiny, it ain't gonna happen soon... DAZsoon.

...beginning to lose my enthusiasm for 3D CG because of all this rubbish about encryption.. Still haven't installed 4,9 after reading about issues others have experienced. Didn't download any of the encrypted freebies. Also miffed that finally after waiting all these years there is a decent basic trench coat, however it is one of the encrypted products.  Seems this is happening to DO's with more regularity which makes paying for a PC membership less appealing.

Kind of makes me feel like it's Daz's version the "free" Win 10 deal.

I'm curious, KK. What programs do you want to port the meshes to, and why? This isn't a challenge, I don't use any programs that need the mesh, or don't have a bridge. Thanks.

...umm Carrara, Marvelous Designer, Poser (for cloth dynamics).

Thanks, after reading almost all the rants about encryption I am looking to less... militant... responses. For example, we could petition Smith Micro and DAZ to stop being the nasty divorced couple and create a bridge. Why DS doesn't support Carrara IDK. They can bridge to Hex, Zbrush, and Photoshop. Thanks for responding,

Have you done stuff in Poser?  I don't remember seeing you post anything that said it was done in Poser.  And Marvelous Designer...with all your money troubles of late, how in the world did you manage to get that?  It's very expensive!  surprise

These things involve exporting, right?  The standard exporting things are not affected by the encryption.  Only DS-specific files will be encrypted (.duf and the like)...and those can't be used elsewhere anyway.

I found a non new release of stonemason I did not have.

Tried to show my roommate some of the store products I have but she wondered if it was a poster or a picture?  it is neither as it is a 3d object with images that I can make pictures with.  Guess it is hard to explain

Morning. The scent of water on earth heavy over street and spire and rain soaked parkland after a big wet arrived last night leaving everything green standing a little taller and puddles like so many mirrors scattered along  footpaths and driveways and rain-slicked asphalt :)

I wish there was a computer mouse that will not fall to the ground so easily as the ones I get.

One with a long tail that plugs into the back of the computer.

There is a big shortage of animators here and in New Zealand, if you don't mind working for union rates :)

Kind of. It is suprising and kinda delightful how quickly everything green perks up after rain. Things sure do smell better here the past couple of days boy it was getting real sporty for a while there :)

Try a flying squirrel instead of a mouse.  It will glide instead of plummet.  And certainly don't use sheep, they definitely plummet and find it hard to perch in trees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLJvCuayeHg

Perhaps it was oobleck from the 1949 Dr. Seuss story?   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartholomew_and_the_Oobleck

Which may have inspired "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs".
