Wow Hacsart what an amazing render of that vintage bike, I must say I am kinda a bike freak and love making renders with all sorts of different styles of bike.

My most fav bike in real life is the Harley of course!!

Thanks... I picked this up as in my misspent youth, I ran a bobbed 1937 Harley ULH 80 cubic inch flathead. This bike is more like a Harley WLA.. still though, if you overlook the minor errors, it’s a decent representation of a bike of that era...

Salt Shaker  - A vintage high performance hot rod stripped of any unneccessary body parts to reduce it's weight in the Salt Flats of Utah.

Rendered in Vue Complete. The hot rod I purchased at Cornucopia3D.

Oh, I remember those eye decals!  Had them with that model I mentioned when I was a kid.  I seem to remember a decal of a woodpecker, too.  And, of course, flames, and an oil company logo or something, and a fuel additive.

Something tells me that those eyes are somehow related to the "baby Moon" wheels. I have seen thise eyes before too. I love the sky over the flats here, makes it look more exciting. Great job.

    Good stuff kenmo !

so I did pick up that vintage bike.. I wish there were more material zones, that way I could transparent out the saddle bag frames.. and it’s a pity the wheels are oval (try rotating them for a motion blur.. the bone needs moving to the axle point, and then.... oval wheels...)

i may run up some tank textures using real HD graphics from the 40s...

still...it’s not as bad as a lot of the bike models we see around...

    I love the bike!

Indeed.. I think I liked the main characters bike in “The Wild Angels” better.. was never a fan of long raked out front ends. Didn’t like the way they affected handling..

I don’t have any photos of my old ULH, but some googling came up,with this pic.. very similar to what I had, save that mine was painted black.. kept the hand shift setup for a while, but eventually converted it to foot shifting..

Nice '62 T-Bird!  That's when I liked them, and when they made the rear lights rectangular, too.  I used to draw those all the time in my youth.

I was wrong about the Thunderbird, it's a '62!  I'm surprised no one called me on that.

I like the looks of his stuff. I have quite a few in my wishlist.  Who knows when I'll ever be able to get them though.  Some others I don't think are as high quality.  When I see a car, I Google it and compare photos with the promo images.  A lot of others I find more than a few inconsitencies, and some downright incorrect styling and such.

Actually, the "Mooneyes" decals were the trademark for Moon Cams, they are no longer around I guess, gone like lots of other things vintage, but Moon made race cams back in the 50's and 60's.

In 62, the T-Bird tail lights were round, the rectangle taillights didn't come out till 64.

Dean Moon did far more than just cams. he designed his first speed product: the MOON Fuel Block in high school..He purchased Potvin Cams in the 60's and that was the start of Mooneyes cams.. all kinds of hotrod goodies came from Moon, and everyone wnated those famous decals.  One of the more recognizeable Moon products is the Moon fuel tank.

Yes, I was saying that those (both) were the ones I liked, and liked to draw the '64s.  Later, the T-Bird went the way of many Fords that started out small and sporty...turned into luxury vehicles, large.  Maybe not many, but it seemed that way to me.

Does anyone know what the woodpecker was all about?  It wasn't a friendly looking one, it seemed to have a sneer, and the crest feathers were swept back, presumably from the wind and speed.  Oh, I think the brand that used the woodpecker was Thrush or something similar.

  • My newest render!!!

The car is from the poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org somewhere in there!! LOL

Nice when you can get it looking good, but it is not a rigged car. Nothing about it even remotely works! And I don't care for the wheels on it either.

But here is the final render I got done using Subsurface Workshop and sereral magic wand tricks!!!

Nice.  I've noticed that a lot of car models seem to have an issue with the area where the door meets the front fender.  Is this as common as it seems, guys?
