Some new tank textures for the VIntage Motorcycle.. (and all the other materials replaced with 3dl shaders)

    Very nice work

Thanks!  I’m not sure if I can freely put these textures out there, I’ll ask and if so... freebies!

Nice image. Love the 1946 or 47 or 48 Ford. Is it a DAZ item?

No, affraid not, that one is a sketchup file I converted back when I still had sketchup 2014, I still have it alright, but its on my other computer, and I can't even get video on that one right now, its supposed to be a 46 Ford mild custom.

Are you using Sketchup Pro or Sketchup Make? I've tried Sketchup Make and a couple of free ruby script plugins, but the results were often hit or miss...

That's typical with Sketchup models some work out some don't

Sketchup Make, but when I was regularly using 2014, somehow they had messed up and I was still able to export obj's, can't do that with the newer version on my new computer.

Thanks! found it attached to a Skecthup model, it converted nicely. Looks a lot like a classic Watsonian Manx sidecar

When I was working on bikes in mid 70's my boss had a side car like that on his BMW

Agreed! It could use some level of SubD, though.

Thanks Sven.. I think I see what you mean, can you suggest an easy way to do that?

Been a long time since I have driven a sidecar rig, but I remember it as being a whole  different experience...

and I think I figured out that subd thing.. this better?

Oh yeah corners, curves, stopping, starting, and alignment was critical to all

Too true.. there’s a ton of lore on setting up a sidecar.. mine was attached to an old Royal Enfield Meteor..

Select the sidecar and go to edit/object(or figure)/geometry/convert to SubD. Then go to parameters pane/general/meshresolution. It should be set to highresolution if converted. SubD level 1 should be enough I figure to reduce the jagginess. If the side car explodes or deforms when set to hi res try changing type from catmark to bilinear, it works 9 times out of ten;)

Would be interesting to see how it looks in hi res, your environment/lightning looks amazing!

Edit: Lol I missed your new render, sorry! And yes that's very nice!

What a fun render... Love that 40 Ford coupe. Reminds me of a 1/25 scale AMT model I built when I was a lad. Used to build many a plastic car model kit... Love the 1/25th scale and Monograms 1/24th. Part swapping was fun....

Sure they are, they are singing just about anything you want, except country, they aren't allowed to sing country!
