Here's a Bridge 1, Harpwood 1 scene where I used Alienator script (included in Oso3D Alien Scenery) to swap props after the UltraScene was created. As alexhcowley said, this script adds even more variety to UltraScenery. The possibilites seem endless.

    Original Harpwood 1

@barbult: are you using the SetData folder that Totte gave us as a zip file, or did you create an empty SetData folder? That would be the only difference in our setup.

I have installed the SetData folder that Totte gave us, but I did not use any of the conversion sets that were in it when doing the test to see if Azulian Flowers landed in the water. I manually linked the Daisies to the Azulian Flowers in the Conversion Set Builder tab. How did you do it?

Are we posting in the wrong thread, or did I misinterpret your question?

    +1 (!!!!!)

Bought and downloaded.  The bundle can be found here:

    https://www.daz3d.com/australia-botanica--bundle

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I’ll pass on this until the price comes down to my striking point. Too much for some Austrilian shrubs and trees.

$27.97 for 3 products, pretty good price if you ask me.

$21 + some change if you throw in a new item ... PC+ cheap item like 2.79 ... save a bit anyway.

    That's what I did, too.

Yes - superb value for this quality.  This will keep me busy for quite a while...

Just downloading - hope to have time to try tonight! (The whole  bundle looks really great, so I'm looking forward to that)

Thanks for combining the required products in the new Australia bundle!

If you will be fixing the save issue reported back here, can you also correct the typo in the word Ecology, as used in "Ecology Seed" on the Build tab? Thanks!

Haha wow - wonder how that's been like that and my eye just wandered right past it every time? Will be fixed in next update (no ETA on that yet though)

I tried out several of the Australia Botanica ecologies in UltraScenery. There is quite a variety there.

We've all been using this for months and months and you are the only one who ever noticed! I must have opened that tab hundreds of times.

Haven't taken UltraScenery out for a spin in a while.  Came up with this using a HiveWire Fallow Deer and DAZ Studio Haze in the render tab as well as a pretty shallow Depth of Field (10).

I love this time of year (Northern Hemisphere)!

    This is beautiful, @Gogger!

  • Gogger, amazing render. I have one cooking right now of the Aussi outback.

  • I love the Australia add-on. Any chance for an Australia II, with the landscapes from the Red Heart with Desert Oaks and Spinifex, or the fern tree forrests?

Thanks @dawnblade and @41cessna!  I have to get these Autumn renders done for a deadline project, but then I'll have a go at those Aussie scenes!

This is really great looking! It inspired me to try a sunrise/sunset scene, but mine is not nearly as dramatic as yours. In fact, mine is pretty blah.

You did a nice job with the DOF and atmosphere here. It really makes the deer stand out in th lovely scenery.

Same here though, as I just noticed it right before I commented on it. And I use that ecology seed too! laugh

I use the seed a lot, too. I guess we just see what we expect to see.

Thank you! Truth be told, I used the new "Sky Replacement" filter in PS 2021, and I heard about it from @Daventaki here. Here is a video demoing it at the 35 sec. mark.

It seems to match the lighting of your scene very well. I wouldn't guess that it wasn't an HDRI that created both light and background. I assumed it was!

Matching lighting is now easier with this filter, as it includes a foreground lighting slider! The only thing it doesn't do, as noted by the PS guru in that video, is reflections. You can add your own skies, but it doesn't accept HDRIs because the file has to be 8bit or 16bit. Regardless, we now have a new way to light our UltraScenery art!

Looks so much like the slightly arid areas on the Atherton tablelands around Mareeba in Queensland that I almost feel I've been here:

Pretty sure it's close to where the Emu came to look at the strange creatures walking along its track. Fortunately it thought 20ft was close enough to decide we were boring.

The only thing I feel is missing is a termite mound every 5 metres and a magnetic termite mound every 50 metres or so, termite mounds being such a kandscape feature in FNQ and the Northern Territory.. Maybe need to model some up & do an ecology that includes them.

    Regards,

    Richard

I'm curious, what is a magnetic termite mound?

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  • It's a nickname for a particular termite species. They orient their blade-like/gravestone shaped mounds at a particular angle to the local magnetic field. As far as I know it's genetic and ones related to other mounds always have the same angle. It probably reduces the solar gain into the mound during mid-day and warms the mound more rapidly in morning & evening.

See this wikipedia page about them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amitermes_meridionalis

Not sure if this fits the bill, or not, but Alessandro (of LAMH fame) posted a freebie Termite mound:

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/661024/#Comment_661024

    Actual link from that thread:

Use, or lose, as you see fit! (And thanks Alessandro!)
