    tectonic plates moving around again?

i forget a lot of the time we're sleeping on top of a molten core.

The Pacific ring of fire getting restless :)
...yeah and where I live we have a big nasty subduction fault off the coast that's been building up pressure for about three centuries now.

A couple years ago it was more worrisome than usual: 2 major earthquakes in New Zealand, the big quake in Japan (that actually shifted the islands to the west and caused a minor shift in the Earth's axis), the floor of a volcanic caldera in Hawai'i dropping out suddenly.

If it weren't for all the poisonous slitherers, creepy crawlies, and lack of good transit I'd consider moving to the desert southwest.

    Golden syrup?

    ...just ran out today.

New to get more but it's windy, rainy, & cold outside and I'm still not totally over this bug I got last week.

I have some kind of headache. I thought it was because I have not been drinking enough water but I have been drinking water all afternoon but I do not feel better.

...@tjohn: trouble is, that has detrimental side effects on the host as well.

Drinking a lot of tea. Would like to go out & get some stuff to make curry but every time I look out the window and see that wind, I shiver.

Yep, the forecast below is spot on.

Definitely more accurate than the Horoscope. You don't need the bug in order to have the aches and pains (Arthur takes care of that year-round). Feel better soonest.

Complaint: I'm still nervous about installing the new Daz (though I'm really happy that I got in on the 'get Daz deluxe for free sale.) and the DIM. I guess my old computer paranoia is catching up with me. I can have all the security, firewalls, and virus scanners in the world and installing stuff still makes me nervous.

Another Complaint: So many free firewalls are so bloated and full of crap, it almost makes me want to go back to just windows fire wall. Might not be the best but it wont be begging me to buy the retail version all the time. >_<</p>

And a feel better for you too, Kulay.
Misery loves company they say. I have a headache today, too. Mine is because of my usual sinus problems.
    In the Spring, it's pollen.
    In the Summer, it's pollen.
In Autumn, it's pollen and burning leaves.
In Winter, it's the cold weather and wood smoke from the neighbors' fireplaces.

I need a fifth season, without any of that stuff. :)

Still also stuffed up and coughing. Uncle Arthur just adds to the misery.

    :)

...sometimes it feels like I'm in the SW of the UK weather wise. Gloomy, windy, rainy....

At this time of year, the weather in Swindon (where in my story the Grande Estate is located near and which is also close to the Salisbury plain), is very similar to ours.

...maybe that is why the Weather Channel put it on the local page as Swindon is one of my weather sites and it is only about 30km to the south.

Make that Miles not Km 30 miles as the road goes 24 miles as the crow flies. 30 miles is about 48 Km

...I've had a paid for one for a while (backed up by a few other malware/adware utilities), and still am always cautious. Firewalls are only as good how soon security updates are made available by their providers after new malware hits the Net.

Very very true. It's that old saying "The only safe computer is the one that's turned off' or something like that.

Hmm I posted this in another thread but...I'm still kinda curious. I have lots of blockers on my browser....probably more than I need but something odd came up on the site ‘http://js’ and ‘https://js’ seems to be on my NoScript list. What is that? Some kinda Java thing for the site?

I honestly can't wait to get back into the swing of DAZ. Games are fun, but I miss making art. The DIM seems like a really great way to get my database back...I just remembered that half of it was also at Rendo....that's going to have to be manual...that's going to take months. O_O

I do have an external HD with my old database on it but...I don't know how well it will transfer over, if at all. My old system was Windows XP 32 bit and now I run a 64 bit.

    it's all so confusing. >_<</p>

So I could try and plop my old database back in Daz4 ? It should read it? Or most of it?

    That would be great!

You got nothing to lose trying, it should at least read the poser format directories, can't think of any reason why it won't read the others as well :)

...I basically built what amounts to a fairly good gaming system. Besides the OS with its utilities, my AV/malware utilities and FF, the only other software I have on it is for 2D/3D graphics (I consider the DIM to be part of this). Some of my avid gaming friends wonder why I don't game with it but instead spend all my time doing 3D work. Well for one, After hours of setting up morphing, posing, adjusting, surfacing, and rendering, I have something to show for my efforts instead of just a bunch of meaningless ratings and rankings. They ask me "what's the fun in that?" as it takes actual work. Well to me having to keep up with all the changes, as well as maintain character(s) records, inventories, and updates to the most popular games is also work.

...and it can run into a lot more money (besides just the subscription charges). For example to run Skyrim, I'd need to make several hardware upgrades including: a second GPU, a sound card (which the workstation doesn't have), controllers, maxing out the memory (which would also require upgrading to Win7 Pro 64), and probably getting a more hefty CPU cooler as I would have to overclock my i7.

Nah, I'm perfectly happy spending hours creating pretty pictures instead.

I still have 49 minutes until Dec 2. Think I'll go to bed anyway.

I don't want any more 95F weather for months. I'm enjoying the cooler weather I have now--64F. Just right for me.
