lol Oklahoma has a toll to enter from Texas then we get back in free. I would gladly pay to get back into Texas after being in Oklahoma.

...here in cash strapped Oregon they have started talking about toll roads, particularly on the planned new I-5 bridge between Vancouver, WA and Portland.

hmmm never even thought about tolls for zhe space station.

opens up whole new plot line options. especially if it's a port of call run by the merchant navy. ... not sure why a port of call is different than a a run of the mill port.

the bumper cars are cute for luggage trolly pullers. the big pipes in gis cute baggage shooters.

and yet another project i didn't work on all week, meant to put a few shrunked morping pythons in the Raie hair for the medusan look.

i'm good at the imagining, the buying, fail at the follow through.

    ... Monday complaint:

State employment website taking forever to open, Need to send my job report for last week so I can get my benefits. Been sitting in a "loading" status for over fifteen minutes now.

When I finally get the home page and click on the UC link, I keep getting a "Reset" error.

The issue is definitely not on my end otherwise the forums or other sites wouldn't come up either .

    tsk, my passport is expired.

...yeah for me the whole job thing made it a bit of a downer this year.

Save for a federal job which I received an email last week notifying me that I passed the first screening for a clerk position, nothing.

Not sure what will happen when the UC runs out as the end of the year ends the extension programme as well. With my arthritis I really cannot do a lot of very physical labour (which is all there really seems to be out there) particularly during winter when it is at its worst.

Also don't want to go back to spending more than half as much time as I'd be on the job, commuting. It would be back to having no life again other than the job.

if only rendering could bring home the bacon, and some money.

don't need tons of it. i'm squeaking by on about 1,500 a month. with another 500 a month i could get a car.

lower commute would be nice, yep. 40 minutes of walking, 70 on the bus, x twice a day
the way home + 20 minutes of waiting for the bus at the shelterless, benchless bus sign.

have to leave bubby home alone 12 hrs 4 days a week. = anxiety. me old ticker = tick tock.

...with my old job plus the commute, I was usually away from home for about 13 - 14 hours a day 5 days a week. Left me with barely enough time to make dinner, look at the forums for an hour or so, then go to bed to start the whole cycle over again. By the weekend I was so drained I usually slept until nearly noon on Saturday.

Really becoming annoyed with how long it is taking to submit my weekly report. It's now been about thirty five minutes and the sign in page still has not appeared. If I don't get it in today it means delays in receiving my benefits.

I'm getting really fed up with things continually going wrong.

Much of the same here. I worked 10 hour days when I was in Houston with an hour and a half commute to work and a two and a half hour commute home do to rush hour traffic. At the time I was spending $180 on gas a week

...with schedules like ours, it's no wonder a lot of people are stressed out these days. Without quality "downtime" each day, it gets to feel like ones' life is going nowhere.

Driving would actually have improved the situation (had I been able to afford it) as it would have reduced my round trip commute time by less than half compared to taking transit. Portland really does not experience anywhere near the traffic volume issues that other cities do even though there are those here who will complain how "bad" it is.

...ah, finally got to the sign in page on the State UC website (after several timeouts & resets) and filed my claim for the week.

Living so far on the edge, can't afford any delays.

You needz passport to go to Houston? :)

Yes, outsiders coming to Texas need a passport.

We have a toll bridge connecting England to Wales across the Severn Estuary. One person did manage to persuade some visitors that they need to show their passports at the check-in desk, and the guy in the booth went along with the joke and mimed stamping their passports before handing them back and letting them into Wales.

PS they have to pay to get into Wales, we let them leave for free.

You have to pay a tax when you leave Australia. Free to get in tho

I've got a friend who's an Alabama football fan, always tweaking me about my team of choice (University of Tennessee). Made him this and posted it to his page on Facebook after Auburn beat Alabama.

complaint: Luxus sometimes writes truncated *.lux files Some files are missing some lines including:

    AttributeEnd

    WorldEnd

I am trying to render a simple scene that is only 900 MB in size like the one below. I am using Windows XP 32 bit. Never mind how much RAM I have; all 32 bit processes are limited to about 1.7 - 2 GB of address space. The scene renders fine in 3Delight. *scratches head*

...not with the hills here. We have 6 - 6.5% grades to deal with in the West Hills. Oh one would make it up OK but it would be real, real slow and I'd have a line of angry and impatient motorists stuck behind me in their "luxury" SUVs.

The other thing is here in the States (at least where I live) you have to take your road test in a car before getting a scooter of motorcycle endorsement, meaning I'd have to prove I can still properly drive a straight line in reverse and parallel park (two of the most oft failed points of a driving test) even though you can't back a scooter up under it's own power and have to park it at an angle rather than parallel to the curb.

    Makes absolutely no sense.

That would be a type 1 then for BOAC (1101?) eta wow has its own wikipedia entry the original was 1101 yes the tankers were type 8 (1180)

A fine looking aircraft and (y) livery is great :)

i just woke up about an hour ago. lol It's almost lunchtime. I'll go test Luxus, Genesis and 32 Windows now. I can't connect to my old router via wireless; the router doesn't assign my computer an IP address. I need to find an ethernet cable to login to the router's setup page/program.

in the old days, you'd need DHCP server running. doan know what they call it these days. if it has a firewall it should mask your true ip address from the 'outside'. q spooky music

Let me try connecting to the old Linksys router using my friend's netbook when he comes over. At least the new router still works.

Complaint: hair for Genesis uses about 100 MB of memory. I'll check the memory usage of the clothes soon.

So I typed in my password two times. The first time, I connected to the router but it didn't assign me an IP address. I logged out from the router and tried to connect again. The second time, I couldn't login because I mistyped the password because I couldn't see what I typed into the form. lol The third time, I disconnected the old router and then typed the correct password. I finally got an IP address from the DHCP server.

...sunny here but c-c-old. Forecast high of only 42° with a low tonight of 26° Aching all over this morning.

Had to finally make a market run yesterday, was cold and drizzly, not very fun especially the way I'm still feeling.
