Where the hell did this week go?... It was Monday twenty minutes ago... This was an odd feeling week... Time felt oddly disjointed, maybe because I've had a lot of work building up over the holidays or its because the kids are back in school and it feel like the holidays are over... It was just a weird week.

Funny story... Well, not ha-ha funny, but it's a story... The other day I was preparing my yard tractor for winter storage and when I went to move it, the battery was dead... The tractor generally lives outdoors under a tarp, but for the winter it gets parked way in the back of the property near the woods where there are less deeper snow drifts.  Anyway, I put the battery on a trickle-charger, usually all it needs is about ten to twenty minutes to build up enough charge if the temps have been real low... But even after an hour it was still not turning over, so I decided to leave it longer... Come dark I decided I should either cover up the charger (it was outside on an extension cord) or unplug it until the next morning, in case it rains... So I think about it for a moment and go "eh, I'll just try and start it and see if it has any juice..." So I get on it and just as I'm about to turn the key, I'm thinking "I probably should get a new battery, but if it turns over, I just get one in the spring"... So I turn the key and KABOOM!!   Theres a flash of white light, the hood goes flying up, there are pieces of crap flying all over and little drops of some liquid splattering here and there... So I'm thinking many things in that first second... Mostly, "WHAT THE F_ _ _ _ _G HELL?!!?", but also, did the cylinder head just explode, is that even possible with this design? Did the squirrels finally pay the possums to blow me up? But as I jumped off the tractor I noticed a corner of the battery laying on the ground... Apparently, the battery exploded.

When I was in high school, my shop teacher warned us about the hazards of hydrogen gas and battery safety... For decades, I've never charged a battery without doing it safely and even when I jumpstart a car, I close my eyes when I clip on the positive clip, just in case the battery pops, I don't want acid in my eyes... So the one time I nonchalantly turn the key without any thought of that, the damn thing blows up...  So now I had to clean up the acid which was all over everything... Apparently it mostly missed me and was confined to the engine compartment... I'm experienced in cleaning up chemical spills and toxic crap, so it wasn't so bad as I actually had stuff on hand... Not something I wanted to be doing at night though... The funny thing is I'm running in and out of the house grabbing stuff from the basement and filling up buckets of water etc... And after I'm all done, I realize nobody came out to question what happened... So I go to the living room and everyone is like... "Oh, we figured you were just doing something..."  Mind you this sounded like a shotgun blast or M-80 going off...   I'm standing there thinking apparently I've numbed everyone in this house with my shenanigans to the point where explosions don't even alarm them.    Aside from a slight tiny acid burn on my upper lip, which was probably more from my lip being chapped, I'm just fine... So I've now concluded I will have to buy a new battery after all.

Oh well... Between that a couple of other things and my friend's dad passing away the day before that, it has been a weird week.

Yea, I got a computer fix-it job!  That's another $50 or so to help me through this month.  Computer fix-it jobs are becoming scarce.  I don't advertise anymore and I turn down jobs involving tablets and smart-phones and Windows 10.  I feel like a radio repairman in 1970.

Set up my lab to do this fix-it job and turned on the music channel of my TV.  Now listening to Rimsky-Korsakov's "Golden Cockerel"  Hadn't heard it in a long time.  Damn, some of his stuff is just so scenic. smiley https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgFIQa98Znc

Another beautiful mind-scene is his "Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MAI2j3MpfI  Whenever I hear this piece I remember the painting by Thomas Cole "Voyage Of Life - Youth" (see image below)

Another rarely heard mind-scape created by Rimsky-Korsakov is "Sadko" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zWKe-Jwucw  Don't know what to call it, but it really sets a mood.

on tough days I can imagine myself old in a mister robot shop building spare parts from scrap and trying to recall where my teeth are laugh with la callas on the radio of course ;)

Oh, be adventurous and creative, see if you can put the battery parts back together again.  The real McGyver would as long as he had some band-aids or underwear elastic and his Swiss army knife. devil

    ...agh, character cross dressing complaint.

Was hoping to use Wanted DOA on the G2F of my KK character but even with the Michael 4 clone for G2M, I cannot transfer the fits cross gender as the clone only works with G2M. This is where the gender split killed Genesis' versatility. Hate it when you spend a lot of time designing a character and then can't give them the clothing they need. Feel like I'm back in the Gen3/Gen4 days again.

There is really no decent western wear for females. All of it, (including the Sharon Stone looking outfit) still bares the belly and too much cleavage.  No self respecting cowgirl would dress like that.

AuroFit to G2M, save as asset, AutoFit that to G2F. Or try using the Cross Figure Resource Kit on the G2M fitted version.

...don't have the Cross Figure Resoruce Kit. Thought that was more for UVs, morphs, & such.

...if no one wins tonight it will be at least 1$ Billion next Wednesday.  If one takes the 26 year annuity plan instead of the lump sum, that would average out to 38,461,538$ a year for before taxes.

Hppy Sunday! Bright and cold today, brr, 33F when I woke up.

Texans self-destructed, Hoyer played horribly, really poor Texans play-calling.. maybe next year

Should be some good football today, with any luck.  Can't wait for the late game.. on the frozen tundra.  Brrrrr!

Enwconced for now, ready to pound the streets.  Not sure how things will go, but I'll put faith in the forces of Chaos to eventually get things going.

Yeah, y'ever see one of those Start Trek phaser batteries on overload explode!  Kirk thought it was no joke.  Squeezin' that much power in tiny little boxes is a recipe for disaster.  And we want to run electric cars on them?!   I'm just waiting for the first headline that says "Lithium battery in Prius burns down garage".
