V7, V6, V5, V4.
don't think i've ever rendered V5, don't have V7.
haz V5's geograft, was included in carrara's content.
just remembered, bought her geograft a morph set from rotka. should try rendering it atleast once.lol but, scifi it up.
Let's see, weekend summary:
Shopped for groceries, went out for beer, did laundry, cooked chicken with lemon and olives in the crock pot, watched football (go Texans!), drank beer, ate chips, cooked and ate chicken wings. Whew!
Today: do more laundry, take out carnage (bottles and trash), send out resume's, get more chips and dip, work on music and art, watch more football, study up on cooking a whole chicken in a crock pot.
I was less busy when I had a job. Oh, and shower/shave is in there somewhere.
Shopping done! I cashed in my spare change bag - it had $65 in coins! Paid for todays goodies and some left over "for later".
Got pork for stir-fry, bacon, sage sausage, burger those little breakfast sausages, mouthwash, and shavers. Oh, and a six pack of seasonal lager - "Mother-in-lager"! I sure don't lack for beer...
Now - laundry time and thinking about lunch... while downloadingcontent..
...here's the test I did of Leela's daughter Annika last night using the Skyler Hair.
This was done using the Leela character I originally created with Josie 7 and then applying the Growing up morphs.
Looking good!!
Looks good!

Lunch. where? doh, hungree.
first time rendering Lil Alley. not quite what was expecting. trying different light types for that over-the-door light. spot, bulb. didn't think light cone,, too late now, didn't save it.
...Thank you.
Now the most challenging, Leela's elfin girlfriend Tracey (going to have to do some work on the facial map in a 2D app to give her white eyebrows).
they call em spurs? Thanks !!
Morning. Mobs of Lorikeets milling around sqwawking and wheezing and like rusty wheels that fell into a bucket of red and blue paint :)
She does look good I see why you need all the bends for the hair :)
moonlight iz suitably ghostly :)
seasonal lager sounds good :)
Well, the image in the article was very clear that there are two or three principle "arms" and there is a band (a "spur" or "minor arm") of stars crossing from one arm to another We apparently are in the spur they named "Orion". The spur probaby exists because our galaxy like most large galaxies gobbles up other galaxies during its lifetime, and depending on how they merge, and the state of the merger, some pieces of the old pre-merger galaxies still exist and haven't settled into a uniform pattern yet (give it a few billion years more). Very large and very old galaxies usually end up being big elipsoid blobs
...yeah, longer hair always needs adjusting after posing the character.
Hey, KK... I was just over at Rendo and saw this after reading your post. Don't know your budget, but it might help your workflow. Fantastic Resource Vol 1 for G3f
How did you get two quotes in there?
Also, how do I get that window that shows render progress and has the Save button? I got it once but now I can't get it back. Tried Iray for the first time. OK, it's impressive.

BBBbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr
...nice looking resource, however the characters in my story all have fairly normal "human" skin tones, even elves (they are just a bit more "fair" haired and skinned). What I really need is an updated Skin Builder which is probably in the works considering that Growing Up for G3F was released a few days ago.
Cute image I found :3
..a little bit of surgery. I first quoted Troutface, then saved the post. I then quoted your post, blocked out and cut the part I needed. I then deleted the rest from the edit window (before a draft was saved), clicked the original to edit, and pasted the quote from your post below Troutface's. Learned this trick severl years ago from another forum after they changed their software and it didn't allow multi quoting.
For rendering, are you using a single or dual monitor display?
The progress monitor should appear off to the side of the main viewport. If you cannot see it it is probably behind the render window. Stop the render (don't cancel it), then move the render window to one side to see if the progress monitor is there. If it is, move it to one of the lower corners on your display (I usually move it to the left of the Viewport). Once you've done that, it should always appear there afterwards. If it is behind the application window (though it shouldn't be) reduce the the app window in size and move to one side to find the render progress pane.
The "Save" button should actually be on the bottom corner of the render window (unless you are rendering in the viewport).
+1
mann it's too easy to accidentally put too much nutmeg. afraid of ruining it.
i'se afraid of my food processor, blades sharp.
i'm also afraid of nuclear things, and antimatter, giant ferris wheels, cruise ships without enough life boats. bees, basically all bugs that bite and/or sting. don't think there's a worst fear. all equally fears.
cold one
giant ferris wheels are scary, imagine the size of the hamsters inside those things
very
That is cute!

My question was how do I get that render progress window back? It is not appearing. when it did, the status bar showed two DS icons stacked. Now it doesn't, there is only the main Ds window, and there is no "Stop" or "Pause" button there. there is only the small dialog that shows a progress bar, and the "Cancel" button. And no, I only have one monitor...but it's a 22" Samsung T220. Hell, I remember watching TV on a 19" B&W TV when I was young...well, even when Star Trek started out, and even in 1972. Now I'm in front of a larger, sharper, color monitor.
Anyway, I only have the main DS window. I don't know what happened. At first I thought that maybe you only get that other window if using the 3Delight rederer. But I've seen it in a couple of tutorial videos on using Iray, so I know it should be there.
By the way, has DAZ3D put out the "DS render with Iray", um, badge for use in our renders?
Dana
ETA: By progress window, I mean the window that pops up when you start a render and it shows the progress bar and also the actual render, with updates as it goes, and has the save button. That is what's not showing up. The little dialog that shows the progress bar only does come up. It only has Cancel as an option.
...interesting. In the Iray render settings tab under General. is the render target set to "New Window" or "Direct to File"?.
Big ol moon in the north sky tonight shuning on like some crazy diamond :)
