Honestly SereneNight, if you wrote a book about them I would read it in a heartbeat.  I've read thousands upon thousands of books and I know a good story when I read/see one.  Would be really cool to see the whole story with all of the pictures, but I don't think that's feasable for print.  Would be cool as a website though.

Hey thanks! You may see it someday, there is certainly a fair amount of material I have collected. I think I'm close to 100 images in my gallery now.. And growing. There used to be more, but some of the images look rather dated.

This is Boyd wearing the M701 outfit by Uzilite. He is carrying a cup of coffee for someone special.

I really am enamored with the tie. It is easy to convert and use. Expect pokethrough if you use this with Genesis 8 but nothing major.

You just had to post a great picture that has my resolve not to buy this crumbling to dust.

Thanks! The pa wrote some good instructions to autofit the tie and glasses. Those are easy...I didnt use straight autofit for the clothing... I followed the Sickle yield tutorial for the pants and shirt.  I think the outfit looks really handsome and has a cute look from the back too as there is a split in the tailoring. I am curious how it will look on Owen since these suits look better on the slimmer built guys.

The suit outfit looks very good. I'm a little distracted by the glow on the white cup and lid.

Yeah. I could probably redo it but I shall let it ride.

crying S'what I get for not following my favorite vendors when they have other stores besides Daz. Guess I'll have to add it to my note for Santa Claus this year since I'm already into next month's budget with the PC sale. Hope there's a catchup on the stuff I missed so far.

I know what a bummer. But if you follow him on fb you may see it go on sale again.

aww! Thanks! I thought that turned out really well, although I had to  lower Boyd's arm a bit and raise Owen up a tad to make it work with the height difference. (Hey he could be standing on a big piece of driftwood right)

Plus love that Summertime Outfit lowrise swimshort for Gen 8. It fits well around the waist.

Wow, that pose looks incredibly hard, but you did a great job. The two skin colors really enhance the effect.

Thanks Barbult and Pruggi! I admit to being a sucker for couples poses and I have quite a library. Unfortunately, I don't always have great luck converting them and because the guys are different heights they don't always work well. But this turned out nicely, especially surprisingly with Boyd in front. Because he is so much taller than Owen he usually has to stand behind because otherwise Owen is often not so visible but this looked cute with him peeking out.

The skin contrast is something I really like, although it is often challenging to do as Owen tends to get washed out, and Boyd's scalp in certain lighting shows on his face. Every so often I change Boy'ds skin, which is older, but I tend to go back to this specific one...

  • Phoenix1966Phoenix1966 Posts: 1,672

That contrasting skin tone is really lovely.

Thanks! Boyd is mixed race, and his skin tone is supposed to be a deep nice tanned color.

Unforunately, the aliens who repair Owen's injuries at one point when he's about 27 are color-blind living in permanent darkenss. So the parts they use to replace his skin and lungs are all pretty much white like they are. The concept of pigment and the significance of pigment is unknown to them since they can't see.

So, Owen returns from his last tour, quite a bit paler, but much tougher.. The extent of the alien repairs aren't really obvious, beyond the skin, but, become obvious as the story progresses because Owen has ceased to age and also has a 3rd lung.

Okay it is time to recreate my Thanksgiving dinner pic I did last year and try to do something a bit better... Boyd will be holding the turkey this go around... So I decided to try a different thing this year.  I wanted to use all props sold here, but unfortunately, the store doesn't have a turkey or a chicken yet. Most of the props are sold here though, so you can make your own Thanksgiving turkey... With food props sold at DAZ

Unfortunately the only bacon I have in my runtime- doesn't appear to work with dforce. It does the 'fly up in the air' and become magically anti-grav. So I had to apply the bacon using a deformer.

If you have bacon that is dforcable let me know.

I am not great at dforce. I am a rank amateur. wink

I know how to do draping drooping garments and cloth. Thats about it. My attempt to dforce my vegetables reflects this.  Looks like it has gotten all wilty near the stove!  We shall have to try again. But the good news is the lettuce is dforcable.

If you happen to own the MICK- Kitchen or the Medieval Tavern, they have roasted chickens that could be scaled up.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,647

Oh those look cool. And there are a variety of vegetables in that set too. I will get that soon..... For some reason I really like to buy 3d food.  I am now looking around in my food sets to make sure I've checked all the available options.

I'm the same way. I've bought several food items from the vendor I think you got that turkey from. And I hate to cook.

Yeah, I think its just that it all looks so... Perfect. I don't know. When I was a kid I liked to use all those fake foods for my dolls and when I played house too, and I made little foods for my barbies. =-)

Here's what I've got so far:

Diner food donated the Lettuce and the stuffing.

    Picnic set donated the fruit.

The plate is just a silver shaded platter.

Brussels and Potatoes came frome Maclean's everyday food.

I successfully dfrorced the lettuce.  hmm.. Now I may try adding a texture to the vegetables and see if I can achieve a roasted quality to them.

Now I'm going to have to see what I can do to make the veg and ruits look a bit more cooked.
