And Arcadia is in one of the featured stores!
Okay, I have done images of the men lately so here is Sedition soldier V4. This suit recolors nicely.
LOL, I know you quite well, so I know I can poke fun at you because you have a great sense of humor. The first thing I thought was you created a Victoria monkey. That middle one has a tail!
Love the colors and the lighting as usual.
Okay Time Assassin was on sale yesterday. I admit I overlooked this cool outfit, because of the textures, but it recolors very nicely. AND includes a really cool time portal prop. This isn't finished yet, but I'm tackling a concept. At first I was going to have him fighting the collectors. Then I decdied they were just friendly inquisitive/protective creatures. They can't help they are sort of disturbing. =-)
Love those colors. For me, dark haired individuals look really good in red, particularly the darker reds.
Red is my favorite color... So I tend to like to use it a lot.
I love how one of the collectors seems to be staring at his butt, just too funny,
He's apparently got a nice butt :-)
Okay, here is version 2. We are coming along now.
Epic renders!!
Thanks digivault :-)
Here's another Time Assassin image. I must say, I really love this outfit. Great styling and detail here. I hadn't included the helmet in the last render, because well, I like to see the character's faces, so here's another image, because the helmet is way bad too. =-) The skeleton eyes were fun. Just big orbs put in the sockets and colored with some of the glow shaders. I'm still working on the post work, but this is my first version.
If it is too dark, let me know. I sometimes can't entirely tell.
Okay, here is my male conversion of the Anemone character. Didn't actually use any of the anemone morphs, but the ears. The rest are the grafts. I particularly like the foreground character lady of the lake skin.
The helmet is cool, totally agree. Beautiful underwater image too.
I really like Midnight Stories work. If you have disregarded the Titan Suit for Genesis 2 Males because of the top, you should try kitbashing it with a piece of body armor. The texture for the suit can be made into a nice shader to facilitate blending of the armored piece with the bodysuit.
Here you can see the before and after image blended with shaders made from the suit, and other metalic and leather shaders. I should say Midnight stories makes really nice shaders and textures, and here The suit textures for titan really made Dariofish cyberagent vest look so much better. I've never actually used that armor piece because the vest looked a little dull. It looks much better tricked out with these shaders and textures.
Okay, I wanted to mess around with making my own skin. So I picked up The ultimate merchant resource kit for genesis 2 males: http://www.daz3d.com/the-ultimate-merchant-resource-kit-for-genesis-2-male-s
And decided to give it a shot. The kit contains the basics, but you will have to mess around with the base figure, adding what you like to achieve the look you are going for.
I made my First alien figure: Pink!
He's still a work in progress, but it was fun to work out how to do the veins to get him to look more alien. The seams on the scalp and arms are a bit of a pain, but I'm still working on it. =-)
I like the subtle texturing, I can really see it on the upper chest, lower abdomen and thigh areas.
Okay, here, I wanted to try some of the 'gym' products recently on sale. Some of these older sets, look great, and render nicely. I found great use for the Zev's fit control to make those shorts go over the cybernetic leg. That is quite useful to make clothing that might not otherwise fit work for you. My only other alternative was to render it twice and who wants to do that?
Wow, those veins popping on the leg look really good, and I like the small details- the spotter (not a small detail, rather required) is in the image but doesn't distract the viewer, and the legs of the third person. The Fit Control worked beautifully. Love the camera angle!
Okay, here is another simple walking scene. I wanted to use CS City, which so far, I have not rendered.
What did I learn in making this?
1. Well, I learned to port all the shapes from Hellfish's Gen 2 female alien pack to the males. So I have twice as many aliens as before. Also saved and uploaded all the skins so they can be used for gen 2.
2. I learned I really hate Sarge's uniform's feet. They are uneven and lumpy and very flat. He needs some soles on those boots! I normally hate big soled boots, but there needs to be SOMETHING down there. They look like they are imbedded in the floor- But nope they are not! They are just really low and really flat.
3. I also learned how awesome the plants from Alien Botanicals are: http://www.daz3d.com/alien-botanicals Very cool looking set. glad I picked it up.
LOL, agree about the boots. They need at least 1/4" or something on the sole.
What do you mean by port? (You sailored it? )
Hah, no port, means 'import'. I transferred the Female Alien heads to Gen 2 male.
Here is a quickie I've been working on for a robotic extra. It is the psi dog from rendo, touched up a bit with shaders and more interesting glowy eyes. I'm very partial to robotic animals. I do wish ther was a material zone for the mouth....
This is really excellent work, you've really transformed the psi dog. Did you use any special shaders?
For the eyes and the glowing engine within the ribcage, I used The FX shaders from DAZ's genesis supersuit. The eyes were done Aqua, the engine the blue one with the electricity inside.
The texture of the psi dog is the blue one, and has one of the reflection shaders from Arcadia Rising bodysuit applied. These are excellent shaders for going over metal.
Wow ! this thread never ceases to amaze me. All your renders, composition are stunning ! Luv your Sci fi renders.
I am so enjoying all your fabulious renders Serene.
You do such an amazing job on them all.
I just hope my renders get half as good as yours
Aww.. Thanks guys! Those are nice comments and I really appreciate the encouragement!
I'll be posting more real soon!
Okay, here I am beginning to retool Sarge for Genesis 3 male. I really appreciate the better body and pecs for the new male figure.
