    I am trying to do a character that is a grandpa for an eighteen year old girl. I am using Stefan to portray Stephane the grandpa. Here is the WIP so far.

    Also there is a black November thing advertised on the main store but it is not ready yet. It requires purchase of new products that have not been released yet.

    Is that second one 3-wheeled? I think Steve Urkel used to drive one. :)

    Morning. I forgot to upgrade Daz Studio last night. I version off Studio that I have generated these errors:

    Rendering image
    WARNING: QWidget::repaint: Recursive repaint detected
    WARNING: Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
    exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
    reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.

    WARNING: Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
    exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
    reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.

    +++++++++++++++ DAZ Studio 4.6.0.18 starting +++++++++++++++++

    Hopefully I won't see these errors related to Qt when I use the new version.

    I am looking for a M4 or M5 merchant resource. I thought I bought one from Renderosity but I forgot the product name and who made it.

    Those node thingies look so complex to me. I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me to figure out all that stuff. I've seen similar stuff in screen caps of DS, so it looks like it's unavoidable.

    Dana

    If you can use layers in Photoshop you can use nodes in other software, each node is like a layer transforming what is underneath it :)

    ...that's what I like abut Carrara's Texture room no nodes or webs of plugs to deal with.

    You can either devote to the cult of the node or the cult of the layer, either way is good :)
    ...layers seem so much more intuitive to me.

    Though I know I'll have to deal with the node when I start creating textures for use in Daz Studio.

    So what happens when one has a node cold? [sneezes].

    you should be able to find it in your item history list. there's a m4 / v4 vascularity mer-res over there. needs PS to extract them.

    Love the Goggo carryalls as well. Way cuter than the VW microbus.

    Check out the Eureka sports volkswagon :lol:
    ...nice. Is that on the old air cooled chassis?

    I still have a huge soft spot for the older styles though.

    ...still not sure of the exact path to set the install to (wish the DIM would save that info).

    Someone else installed to what I would think was the correct path C:/Programme Files/Daz3D/Studio4, but it corrupted everything by placing a Studio4 folder in the previous version's Studio4 folder and he/she had to hunt down and manually delete all the bad files. Don't want to go through that.but do need the update as it fixes the crash issue with the Advanced Spotlight.

    That also sounds like it does not uninstall the previous version like the old .exes did.

    This is the kind of stuff I am always unsure of.

    I am looking through my backups for something but I am not finding what I am looking for. Even the chocolate pudding disc did not have it. Labeling a disc with chocolate pudding is unique but does not say what is on it.

    I better try to get it off of the disc. The pudding is now dried on it which will make it a tad hard to remove. Any ideas of how to remove dried pudding from a disc. It is only on one size and that is the label but not on the read write area.

    I installed via DIM last night without any problems.

    this seems fairly easy to make :)

    sweet potato gnocchi

    Ingredients:
    * 2 (8 ounce) sweet potatoes
    * 1 clove garlic, pressed
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    * 1 egg
    * 2 cups all-purpose flour
    Methods:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake sweet potatoes for 30 minutes, or until soft to the touch. Remove from the oven, and set aside to cool.
    2. Once the potatoes are cool enough to work with, remove the peels, and mash them, or press them through a ricer into a large bowl. Blend in the garlic, salt, nutmeg, and egg. Mix in the flour a little at a time until you have soft dough. Use more or less flour as needed.
    3. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. While you wait for the water, make the gnocchi. On a floured surface, roll the dough out in several long snakes, and cut into 1-inch sections. Drop the pieces into the boiling water, and allow them to cook until they float to the surface. Remove the floating pieces with a slotted spoon, and keep warm in a serving dish. Serve with butter or cream sauce.
