She's so hot, she made that 40 Ford jump the front wheels right off the ground all by itself!

Here's a real nice very detailed 350 Chevy engine perfect for any hot rod. It's a sketchup conversion and comes in very low poly and loads instantly. Uses almost no memory. No crashing! This would look awesome in your 32.

How do you start in modelling such an engine or a complete car? Are you using just photo references? Is it a more intuitive type of modelling?

I´m familiar with CAD Software (ProE, Inventor). So my mind is always focused on assemblys, bill of materials, production possibilitys and cost reduction. :-)
I feel like my experience with CAD is not very helpful in creating models in one piece with focus on surfaces and texturing.

I looked up Hexagon, but not really finished a project. Maybe it wasn´t the best choice to start with this software?

music i would never put a chevy motor in a ford but since what im making is more of a mutt im using a mutt engine

MN I started designing car bodies a few years ago using plywood forms the way they did decades ago when people actually made cars by hand
we use those blanks to mold racing shells for the drag cars
to model this car i started from pics i found on the web of all-steel roadster bodies and went from there
the original engine came from grabcad
and all ive ever modeled in has been blender
i used to use bryce back before daz bought it

I'm sorry, I thought you said you were using a 350 Chevy engine and turning it into a Ford engine. (Read above what you wrote). I was trying to get you one that wouldn't crash you or use up all your memory (you also said one page back). Thought this would resolve both issues.

Then go here and get the parts to assemble it. It has three main parts, just line up the little circle with each and it fits together. Also has individual parts and the tranny.

Here is the entire car..1932 Ford Highboy. You can't get the car, but you can get some of the parts. The tires and mags you can get, they are nice. I think Betsy has used these many times on some of his cars here. The rear end, body, dash are also there. Anyway, a very nicely done car!

Beverly took a wrong turn and got lost on this Rockie Mountain road. She takes a moment to get some fresh air and express the heat. She then found her way back to town.

Yep, I changed the wheels n tires on it, the ones that came with it originally were more styled for a 1930 and 31 Model A, so I used a wheel of my 1929 Woody, the wheels are much more accurate for a 29 model.

I had to separate the bumpers, because the material zone the bumpers fell into were part of the fender mat zone, that would also be incorrect, as the bumpers on a real Model A Ford would be nickel plated, ie. chrome in modern times of course.

I did notice you did that...I said.."Hey, I don't remember seeing these wheels on this model!"

    Nice work!

I also notice the bumper zone problem. I think there is a seperate frame and tires download with the bumpers on the frame. You could get it, then pull the body onto it and it would solve the problem. Maybe too much work.

I've downloaded all of the Model A parts, so I probably have the frame somewhere!
