Posibly. Wow!, I give up. Sorry E.Bru.
That or I need coffee, lol. I broke copy and paste of text, lol.
You could download using DIM (you need to tell it that you don't want to install after download), and once it's downloaded, install manually. Other than that, report this to customersupport by a ticket, and wait until it's fixed.
EDIT: Okay... here's what works if you aer on a Windows maching... go into the ZIP folder. Go into Content folder. Copy what is inside the Content folder. Go to a location outside the ZIP folder. Paste the copied folders there. Worked fine just now.
I believe that Windows Explorer has a max path length of 257 characters (path means file name, and the directory pa, and so just because some people can extract this file from the zip, does not mean all can, because it depends on what path you are extracting it into.
My advice to E.Bru is to try extracting the manual file into a directory at the top level, perferably one with a short pathname
yes Havos, and apps like 7zip or WinRAR can also get around that path name length thing. That was what I was trying to type when the web page went stupid on me, lol.
Zipwire, I'm not sure about, it may also work.
The zip extractor built into windows, absolutely has a pathname limit, and I was thinking 256 or 257 characters also. Including the file name and extension (.duf, .dsf, etc).
So this is DM MoonCult set from the Poser library using the few options like Wood, Glass and Metal to get things looking super duper under the 3DL render engine. I really love allot of what DM does. Even though the poses wont work the props will work just fine and look awesome.
I too am looking forward to the 3DL to iRAY as I think one could potentially load in a Poser setup using the pz2 files, which essentially works just fine under the 3DL render engine as is.
is there a possibility the script could copy over non-map colors and such, like the number of U/V tiling stuff? Just a thought.
Does anybody know if this might work back in DS 4.8 as well?
ok, thanks, and thanks.
Going threw inventory that I neglected for the past few months, I rediscovered something that this may work for. I think at first I was just going to torment myself with getting 3Dl shaders onto the props to mimic, that "Ln2 effect",
however, if this converter is even remotely able to get maps copied over to 3DL shaders, that would be very nice.
I'm still making the bench, and have yet to make Ln2 pots, tho it is in the works. So that SY Rigged speedy Smoke (apparently Iray only) may be more useful than just for the morphable mesh.
I tried it and the script seems not to work. :(
Probably because it's encrypted (the script that is).
Or because it uses functions or properties which didn't exist in 4.8.
Must be the functionalty. I have a couple of scripts from the DAZ store (all encrypted) that work fine in earlier versions of DS.
I believe it was 4.9.4 that started reading encrypted scripts. Earlier versions can't.
The script is encrypted and will not work before 4.9.3.166. Sorry.
Binary scripts (.dsb compressed files and .dse encrypted files) have always been restricted to running on the version of DS they were saved from or newer - it is, as Leana says, to ensure compatibility. It can't be done with ASCII .dsa scripts as they can be edited externally.
Sadly, it does, in fact, change the shader back to Iray.

I would think you should apply all of the BSI changes before running the script, it seems to make sense that it would work that way.
As for people having problems with the long name, unzip it onto your main (C:) disk, not a secondary HD or SSD. I had the same problem with some other file and this worked for me!
It does, but it removes the diffuse tint.

yeah, I kind of noticed that. the RGB values, and tiling settings don't get carried over.
At least the maps are there, that is better than some shader to shader changes.
Is there any plan to have this upgraded so it also works on Genesis and G2 models? I have only succeeded in getting the morphs for models up to G2 series (not all but most of them anyways), it will be a while before I can get the morphs for the newer models, so have been sticky mainly with G2 and older.
Genesis and G2 characters pretty much already come with 3Delight materials.
Duh think I need some sleep,,,lol sorry for that
The new 3Delight to iRAY converter hit last night. Picked it up this AM. Looks amazing. Thanks so much for this!
To be honest I wasn't really impressed by the promos, the bloom effect used doesn't help, there are a couple where I actually feel that the before looks better than the after.
Hey, as long as it does MOST of the work, I'm ALWAYS going to tweak so that's not a big deal for me. Plus they offer allot of extras to help bump things up or calm things down so I'm glad for my purchase. Will help me get my settings for content creation more evened out. THAT'S worth all the tea in China to me.
Hi guys!
Today Tom did an update to cause the diffuse color to be transferred over. Originally I thought it was better not to, because some things in 3Delight used gray diffuse in ways that are not useful in Iray, but at least this preserves people's skin tints and so on. I've asked if He offered to do one for the backward converter too.
Thanks so much!
