Fantastic render, Carola O!
Wow Carol you really did an amzing job on that render and deffinately worth the wait!!
So. Next in line with the Family- Lorenzo. He is the third son of Liam and Rosa, just after Salvatore.
He's the crazy one of the group-worse than Salvatore (who is the angry type of crazy) or Giuseppe (who just doesn't care)- in the story, when he met his (eventually) wife, he met her at a carnival. She got onto the Ferris Wheel with a friend, and was about eight feet in the air already by the time he got to it and literally launched himself into the air to catch the bottom rung of the box she was in to climb up and say hi.
Well I was about to say "Howdy Cowboy!" then I read he's married ...best not make his pixel wife jelly. heheh She might be as crazy as it sounds like he is. lol
BTW, isn't Whop/Wop a slur or derogatory term for people of Italian descent?
Thank you all for the lovely comments, I'm glad you like that portrait *happy smile*
Looking forward to see and hear more of Lorezon as well, it's hard to imagine an italian speaking with a drawl I must admit hahah And on that note.. what is the hat, pants and chaps you use on him? My first guess is Luthbel's Desperado, but not sure if I'm correct?
If said in that context, yes. My s/o is Sicilian, and that's how he describes the family, so I didn't intend it to be a slur. I apologise if that offended. It's been removed.
Yes, Carola, that is Luthbel's Desperado set. :)
Skin start for Lorenzo-
Looks like he be going for a paler look than his older brothers, more from Liam than from Rosa? *curious* and thank you, that set is one I have been eying but the tiems it's been for sale I haven't had the money, might go for it either way next paycheck, depending how things look :) Also look like it autofit really well, even the belt (if you used autofit that is?)
Great job on the last render Carola O!
I was reading up on Lorenzo and my husband walked by and said stop looking at all those half naked men! lol I did remind him they aren't real.
... Ranch? Drawl? Where on earth do these people live, anyway? I thought your story was set in Ireland! (And yes, OK, I know there are a few ranches and the like in Eire ... and what would an Irish drawl be?)
lol, Sonja!
Yeah, Carola, I used autofit- I generally use the transformer tool, but I was lazy. Sometimes autofit causes issues (like in the last render with one of the legs), but most of the time I find it tends to behave.
XD Vrangler. It starts in Ireland, yes- by the time Lorenzo is born, they are no longer in Ireland. Liam and Rosa escaped with Sal and Giovanni when the older boys were in grammar school. Where- can't say just yet. ;) So his Irish lilt is very light, Lorenzo's. IF at all there. By the time he was about 12, it was gone. Sal and Gio went to Catholic Schools- so the Nuns taught the boys to speak without the accent (Irish and Siclian accents together-whoo, talk about hard to understand?), but Salvatore kept up the front of being thoroughly Sicilian with a heavy accent that even when he eventually married and had kids, they didn't know it was a faked accent. It was good for business, so Salvatore kept it.
A quick test with just one of DT's Park HDRI sets-no other lights
12 minutes-160 itenerations
Just doing some really quick testers to see how his skin's working-so they will be grainy. ;)
Another HDRI-Cake and Bob's Forest Fall. Same render time/itenerations
This is the first time I have ever seen an Irish/Italian Cowboy!!
All I have to say is YeeeHawwwww!
He is down right handsome and rustic!!!!
LOL-thanks!
Just out of curiosity, did Liam and Rosa have any daughters? Does anyone in the family have daughters? (We're up to, what, four boys in Lorenzo's generation, and one in Christian's?)
Oh, yeah. Salvatore had a paternal twin sister, and there are four other sisters. Five girls, five boys. We've been hunting for the correct photo references for the ladies' faces. They'll eventually make it. XD Gio had four girls, six boys. Salvatore had two boys, one girl. Lorenzo had two boys, one girl. Sibby had no kids. I won't be doing all of the third generation, though, only the main characters. Nor, I think, will I be doing the sister's husbands unless requested by my s/o. XD I also want to branch into the Yakuza and Russian mob characters as well.
Mm.. Sal mave have had a few more, my memory is sketchy. XD Sibby did have one son- but that's waaaaaaaaaaaaay later in the story. I forgot. Bad creator.
Salvatore's twin sister had died in a car accident with a drunk driver- on graduation day from High School. That really broke Salvatore, and affected his mentailty quite a bit. He really wasn't the crazy angry Sicilian until then. He lost a lot of his light-hearted teasing nature when she passed.
That's a great image. I love it. While I love cowboy hats, it's always a problem seeing a guys eyes when he's wearing one. I'm not sure if that adds to the mystery or if the hats are designed that way to be frustrating to those of us oggling the cowboys. :)
LOL, KM, but probably both. ;) Gotta have a little mystery, and that blasted, burning, gaseous ball in the sky needs blocking out. And thank you!
Ah, OK.
... "Sibby"? And are you currently planning to do all of the second generation? (Yes, I want to know ALL THE THINGS! ... that's not weird, is it? Surely not.)
As far as your Russians go: I realize he's probably not going to make it into this generation -- and you can't say one way or the other if you know, so I'm not asking -- but I would be really curious to see what you'd do with an Ivan-based or Ivan-type character. It's so far away from the sharper-featured, more angular guys you do more often.
The way you talk about it ... was Sal actually married to the mother(s?) of his children? Or did he scatter his rosebuds hither and yon, so to speak?
And again: "Sibby"?
And yes, losing a twin that way could very easily make someone crazy angry.
Don't mind me I am quietly reading and ogling...
Inquirey minds want to know all this DM!!!
I am enjoying the stories behind the characters though very very interesting indeed!!!
Love the characters and the story, poor O is getting so much pressure from us isn't he? *wide smile and bribes with drink, homebaked cookies and hugs* Lorenzo look great, I really like that picture with the horse, And poor Sal :( losing a sibling is bad enough but a twin on top of it, with twinbonds and such.. *shudder*
Sibby aka Sebastian, and yes I plan to make him as well- all of the second generation will be created. As for Salvatore- he was raised very, very old fashioned. All of his children come from his marriage to Luccia, his wife.
You're quite right- for the Russians, you'll have to wait and see! And you aren't crazy. ;)
lol, Sonya!
Thank you! I'm sure O will appreciate that as well. ;)
Bribes don't work, btw. XD Thank you, and yes- Sal lost his nutter when his sister passed. It took Gio to reign him in so-to-speak from outright hunting the drunk down and killing with his bare hands. Eventually, the guy did end up disappearing, but not because of Sal.
Well these are some impressive renders
Why thank you!
Bribes don't work? *sad face* darn it.. oh well ,it was worth trying ;P
Um. Well, your version of Sal and what I'll be doing with him are ... different. Very very different. (You remember Rock Star Sal? No, not the one in the dressing room, the other one. Yeah, that guy. Not exactly old-fashioned, no.)
And I shall try to be patient. Somehow....
Oh, I remember. XD Different is good- the stories are for me and my s/o, the use of the characters are for whatever you wish them to be. ;)
