A quick comment to let you all know that the HDRI lights are not a requirement for my new product Anika They should be listed as one of the products used in the promotional images, not as a requirement.
Thanks
The new 'Minimum price after discount is 5 dollars' is buggy to say the least.
From what I can see, the 50% extra discount for having an Horror new release in the cart can't get an item under $5, respecting the new rule.
Tokens seems to be able to get a Daz Original under $5, the 6/10 out of DOs coupon does too (no idea if the 6 out of 18/10 out of 25 coupon does it too, I already used mine) but tokens won't get the price of non DOs items under $5, regardless of how many tokens were used. So the rule seems absolute for non DOs but flexible with DOs.
As a 'nice' bonus, using tokens can actually raise the price of items, because for a reason I don't understand, it'll remove the 50% extra discount related to the Horror new release. A couple of minutes ago, I had a non Daz Original seeing a price rise after applying tokens, but now, I only see this behavior on DOs: the cart was slightly different but I only had one Horror new release, none from the other currently active sale and the non DO item who saw its price increase is still in the cart (the pilate props).
So, let's start cranking the number of tokens.
0 token cart, everything is at $5 outside of the new release.
2 tokens cart: two of the Daz originals are now under the $5 limit (but each with their own discount, which is not making any sense: DOs are supposed to always have the same level of discount when they are part of the same category of a sale) while one DO actually saw it's price increasing and one is feeling comfy at $5:
4, 5 and 6 tokens carts didn't see any difference in behavior: the DOs under $5 got better discount, the DOs who saw a price increase did get a better discount due to the tokens, and the DO at $5 stayed at $5.
Then, with 7 tokens, that $5 DO finally decided to get under $5 and now have a 89% discount like the first DO to go under $5, a big jump from the previously stable 78% discount (way more than going from 6 to 7 tokens should add):
And then, with 8 tokens, the last resisting DO finally saw its price going under $5:
So in the final version, with 8 tokens, I have three different level of discount for Daz Originals (none of them Daz+ items): two at 91%, one at 86% (despite the fact that it's price felt under $5 before one of the item who now have a 91% discount) and one at 82%.
I didn't check each discount to see if every item kept or lost the 50% extra discount related to the HNR.
Excellent job, @Elor! Thank you!
The Wishing New and Wishing Legacy selections are either wrong or items in it are not flagged to benefit from the discount or the version I'm seeing is not the version supposed to be visible (it happened a couple of months ago, I didn't see the same selection as Chris Palomino, likely due to a CDN issue or something like that).
Here's a cart with a 'Wishing for Love' new release and items from both selections, none who are discounted:
Are those in your wishlist? It says it is a wishlist sale, but it never says that items have to be in your wishlist.
They are not: I initially thought it was a wishlist sale when I saw the banner, but once in the sale page, no mention of wishlist, so I took the 'Wishing' phrasing as another instance of 'I'm not sure you're supposed to use the word like that but English is not my native language, so what do I know?' and picked items randomly to see how the discount worked.
But you are likely right (I would say you're absolutely right, but who knows with Daz sales): items from my wishlist are discounted.
Tokens do work on my end: a 85% discounted item is discounted further if I'm adding tokens and it's the correct amount of extra discount.
Edit: I also checked with a wishlisted item from the 70% selection and tokens are also working on them.
I don't get how this is a wishlist sale at all.
I verified and reported it. Nothing from my wishlist is discounting.
Edit: Disregard. The items I picked weren't in my wishlist
Agree, I clicked each list, filtered by wishlist (which is a Daz Deals feature) and that discounted.
But without the filtering you are guessing...
Make sure when you select the link to either category that there is a heart on the product to know it's in your WL and it discounts properly.
The store UI does show a yellow heart on any product in your wishlist.
Daz-Deals makes this so easy. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
The hearts are showing for me on the items that I have in my wishlist
I didn't check the two categories, but just put some of my wishlisted items in the cart and those that hadn't any other % off already got reduced by either 70% or 85% depending on age. BUT (and that's a big but) the reduction works for a TOTAL of THREE items. So not three for the 70% off category and another three for the 85% one, but three items total.
As there's no restriction mentioned, the deal should work for several carts, as long as each one contains a "Phishing Wishing for Love" new item, I guess.
It's allowing 3 from each category for me.
Checked again it's working now
Cool!
Yes, it's working if I'm adding items from my wishlist who are also part of the selection (using the heart to see which of them are concerned).
There seems to be a non advertised price floor in place: I can't get any item's price under $2. Some are not even getting the advertised 85% discount.
Cart with Daz Originals, showing three different levels of discount (all are part of the 85% selection so should all have a 95% discount with 8 tokens):
Cart with non Daz Originals, showing a $2 price floor in effect:
I asked
Yes, the newer items have a floor of $3 and the older $2 - the items must be in the categories and in your wishlist, prior to some date (not sure if it was yesterday or a bit earlier). A bunch of disclaimers were/are missing and the person Frank got hold of couldn't add them.
This latest sale is described as a wishlist sale but the links don't go to my wishlist like the earlier ones do, they go to a list of items. If I add one to my cart I don'y get any discount. Do the items need to be in the list and in my wishlist as well, or is the sale not working?
Yes, they have to be both in your wishlist as well as listed among the eligible items, and the discount is activated with a purchase of an item in the "Wishing For Love" new releases.
Yes, they need to be both in the lists and in your wishlist.
I find it very annoying that they only offer a discount if you have put things in your wishlist. Maybe I should dump the entire store in my wishlist ready for the next wishlist sale. Is there a limit to how many things you can have in your wishlist?
So now tokens don't work? I put in 5 tokens and it only changed the required new item from today. They did not lower any other items in my cart. I was thinking of switching to Premiere for March Madness but now it seems they put a floor price on items and the tokens are worthless.
