Morning,  Overnight rain leaving a shiny gloss on dust-streaked glass-walled towers but fading away as the sun rises, only a few millimetres of rain so far this year perhaps there is another drought on the way ?

I need my glasses to use my computer.  I thought I was loading Gianni 7 HD but actually loading Gianni 6 HD.  I was wondering why I needed a Genesis 2 male outfit for this to load.

Are you now going to upset your room mate even more by having naked men on your screen?

she is taking a nap so it should not bother her and hopefully I can decide what he is going to wear before she wakes up

edit: forgot something.  She might be distrubed since Gianni 6 is naked without having any parts.

Random things for a Hump Day:

Stabbing myself in he stomach with insulin isn't as bad as I envisioned.  The nedle is near microscopic and there's enough fat around my stomach to make it hard to feel anything anyway (lol).  Thank heavens for insulin pens.. just dial the # of units, stick yourself for 5-10 seconds, and done.  Throw the needle away, then pen itself is good for 28 days.  Still feels weird, thugh, guess I'll get used to it like I got used to stabbing my fingers to do blood tests.

My job sucks.  They literally have me siting in a desk in a hallway, los of traffic and people having meetings 4 feet rom me.  Makes it hard to concentrate.  I'm also being ignored, it's like they were in a huge hury to get me in here so I could piddle away on a tiny task that feels like make-work.  I've turned my job searh back on, I hope I can get this stupid little program belted out in 2-3 weeks, take the money, and run.  Screw it, I'm going to try to get back to the West Coast! GET ME OUTTA HERE!!! surprise

Hopefully tonight I can work on some new music.. I ned to push out of this antibiotic haze and make some progress before I lose it all.sad

..worked in a similar type of setting when I was both the assistant to the Digital Print Manager (who had an office) and managed the min client's account. Three of us shared this narrow space along with the print department job board, and a bunch of filing cabinets. .Lots of people passing through including the WWotW sales VP who would come in and scream at the DP manager why "this" or "that" wasn't done yet (even though she sold jobs to customers promising ridiculously short timelines and often pushing for a project to be completed before we even received proof approval from the customer).

As the area was off the main warehouse it got bone chilling cold in winter (and we were getting a series of abnormally cold ones back then).  The regular print department also shared the "office" space with the darkroom for platemaking off the room with two main laser printers which generated order invoices. On the other side of the wall behind where I sat was the press room with two old Heidelberg windmill presses clanking and whirring away as well as fairly loud SuperJet 2 colour + BK offset press, a hydraulic cutter for paper stock, and a large very noisy old Stahl Folder.

Month's end was particularly nasty as the print department was cranking to get everything done while I was trying to concentrate on crunching the monthly numbers for the client's account that had to bew ready for the company's CEO final review while also maintaining job flow for Digital Print.

Worst case workspace for me is an edit booth, so many of them feel like coffins after a double shift think it is the no windows thing. Probably happiest in the back of a lighting truck, there's something cozy about the smell of half-cooked electrics :)

I hate my way of life complaint thread.  This waking up before sunrise every stupid day so I get so tired every evening before it is normal to go to bed. Being forced to eat before sunrise or starve until lunch time after work.

Thursday, much to do,none of it fun.  Gripey data conversion stuff before getting the driver to update the firmware.. le sigh.

Lunch time meeting tomorow wih my agency about what's going on here.  They're unhappy, none of their people have ever been stuck in the hallway before! surprise I'm gonna give them a real earful.. oh yeah.. angry

Will fridge beer tonight for tomorrow night, it takes 24 hours for the antibiotic to wash out of my system.  Beer Friday night!  laugh

LOL - one place my doc and I have always had some "interaction" is about beer.  I'm not going to quit, so he has to work with me on it..  with my old pills, I just didn't take them when I went out for my brews.. now I don't have to worry so much, that's one improvement the insulin brings over pills.  Makes it almost worth poking myself in the stomach twice a day.. can haz beeeeeeerrrrrrr! laugh
