Back home now.  Got 3 hurs in and finished off a mini-XML parser, so despite the bloody office being closed I made forward progress.  And enough hours to cover cab afre plus some.. I'll be cabbing it every day this week to keep as much pressure off the foot as possible.  Poor foot! sad

Drowning my sorrows in a catfish and shrimp dinner! laugh I love fish, and this is  feast for a King.  Catfish, popcorn shrimp, fries, hush puppies and fried okra.  Plenty left over for dinner tonight as well!! Nice!

With any luck will be moving back to the InTown Suites early to mid March.  As iffy as my health is, I'm not up to dealing with a pile of children.. I've never really liked kids, ever.

I need to see if I can get Richard to change my nic to Serpent.  I get the feeling that some folks think I'm a big, fuzzy teddy bear when in fact I'm pretty effing venomous when provoked (and when I'm sick it takes very little to set me off).  I'm known as Serpent everywhere else, might as well unify it all.

Back to eating and working on my music.  Tomorrow is another day.

eeeeek is difficile  wanted to show it banking but keyframing made it like jerk inside the frame, jerk motion a terminology?

    cloud layer disappeared,

    not exactly this lol
"you got 10 back pockets", "left cheek left cheek left cheek "
    - havent given any thought to smoke plumes

I'm seeing playback problems via the website but I DLd the AVCD MPEG file and it plays back smooth. There are a coupla things about that I guess nobody writes down real basic stuff like you need to create a "look at" target - an axis no geometry -  for the camera and  keyframe that instead of the camera, will make life a lot easier.

and second you need to adjust your frame rate somewhere wherever it is being written, there's absolutely no value using fractional frames for animation and your video codec is set to 29.97 fps, a video speed but it aint going to play nicely with whole frames ....

So see if you can at least set the fps to 30, or better still 24 cos apart from anything else less renders per second at 24 fps, and you will prolly need to do that in the editing software somewhere as well as set the frame rate in Carrara. Anyhow is real important that both frame rates match there.

I don't use Final Cut to turn frames into video, I use a mograph program called Motion that works very much the same way as Blackmagic Fusion and write video from there before I port it to an editor. Editing software tends to mangle animation frames if/where/when it can.

Is important to develop a workflow where WYSIWYG when you write the video, you can waste a lot of time fixing keyframes when the problem is with the video codec, for example.

eta oh ps you should be looking for a video codec with "P" for "Progressive"  on the end, like 720P or 1080P or academy progressive or something :)

thanks.  theres a big droplist of mp4 choices dunno whats what >.<

Today's stupid: Agency said show up Monday for work.  I get up, get dressed, wound care, and taxi into the office to keep me of my foot...

..get in.. ofice dark.  7:45AM and nobody in.  Late start for everyone?  I email my boss andt tech lead, hey I'm in, let's rock and roll! Email back from tech lead "Holiday today see you tomorrow".

    indecisionindecision

So here I sit all alone.  I'm going to finish up this one function I'm working on and then I'm going to pack up and go home. indecision One round trips worth of taxi money down the toilet, well, I'm getting 3 hours in today so that makes up for it. Still...

Grouse-o-gram off to my agency, but at least I got brekkie, got my pill into me, and had a nice dry run for tomorows trip in to work.  The coffee is good, so sucking all up that I can get. indecision

....had a day somewhat similar to that but in an opposite way.  Was working several weeks straight with no break.  One morning, pretty much on "automatic" by then, got up at the usual 05:00, got ready for work, packed a lunch went to the bus stop where I waited...and waited...and waited.  When the second bus for another route that shared the same stop as the one I rode (bus #74) I asked the driver if he heard anything about my route. he replied that the #74 didn't run on weekends.  That's how much of a blur things became as we were also working long shifts (10 - 11 hours), basically to the point I had not only lost track of what day it was, but the fact that I remembered it was my first weekend off in nearly a month.

I wondered why the alarm never went off.

Walked back home flopped back in bed and slept until almost 11:00.

Yes that's the one, is reasonably ahem function rich after all these years but what it does is understand you are importing frames, not camera footage, and writes out video which hopefully plays nicely with the editor.

Yeah, mpeg is a wrapper so everyone has a piece of it, what to look for is a frame rate in whole frames ie 24, 25, 30 and progressive scan so you dont get your frames torn in half and on top of those a format your editing software and fusion respects. Should narrow the field a bit.

Using Fusion you will need to do some minimum colour management, AVCD is rec709 I think, anyhow you are hopefully writing frames from carrara as SRGB (png, jpeg) with gamma correction at around 2.2 so you will need to tell Fusion that so it plays nicely with you and also what colour management scheme to write out with the video, think it is rec709 (?)

wind blowin outside, sounds a bit fierce

    S 33 km/h  Gusts: 76 km/h  -  is that very windy ?

S 21 mph  Gusts: 47 mph  eeks 47 is gusty. the kind of wind knocks stuff down,

so i guess mile is longer than km, cuz can do more km in the same time as a mile.

My roommate complained that I had a naked girl on my screen.  It is not my fault that Genesis 3 female loads nude.

Switch to smooth shaded view and say it's a statue if it's the skin that's an issue, or save a scene with her in at least underwear and load that instead of the base.
