Yes that's the one, is reasonably ahem function rich after all these years but what it does is understand you are importing frames, not camera footage, and writes out video which hopefully plays nicely with the editor.

Yeah, mpeg is a wrapper so everyone has a piece of it, what to look for is a frame rate in whole frames ie 24, 25, 30 and progressive scan so you dont get your frames torn in half and on top of those a format your editing software and fusion respects. Should narrow the field a bit.

Using Fusion you will need to do some minimum colour management, AVCD is rec709 I think, anyhow you are hopefully writing frames from carrara as SRGB (png, jpeg) with gamma correction at around 2.2 so you will need to tell Fusion that so it plays nicely with you and also what colour management scheme to write out with the video, think it is rec709 (?)

got the gc set at 1.4, higher tends to sucks the colors out  lozero intensity on all the lights, set gc to 2.2, crank lights up one at a time :)

    editor crashed again ios 9

Think the editor crashes must be down to packet loss, would explain why it is intermittent.

Tring to say before that in the digital monitor/gpu ecosystem any SRGB image is assumed to be gamma corrected to around 2.2, is a constant like the speed of light in space-time, adjusting light/colour by changing the coefficient is a losing proposition :)

Editor seems to work now, very strong 4G wireless where I am now IOS is telling me.

Carrara isn't helpful with colour management, is possible that gc is being applied twice if colours is looking milky.  I always pull the colour channels back by putting some grey on them, multiply or add it to a colour texture file and mix it into a swatch.

Random things for a Hump Day:

Stabbing myself in he stomach with insulin isn't as bad as I envisioned.  The nedle is near microscopic and there's enough fat around my stomach to make it hard to feel anything anyway (lol).  Thank heavens for insulin pens.. just dial the # of units, stick yourself for 5-10 seconds, and done.  Throw the needle away, then pen itself is good for 28 days.  Still feels weird, thugh, guess I'll get used to it like I got used to stabbing my fingers to do blood tests.

My job sucks.  They literally have me siting in a desk in a hallway, los of traffic and people having meetings 4 feet rom me.  Makes it hard to concentrate.  I'm also being ignored, it's like they were in a huge hury to get me in here so I could piddle away on a tiny task that feels like make-work.  I've turned my job searh back on, I hope I can get this stupid little program belted out in 2-3 weeks, take the money, and run.  Screw it, I'm going to try to get back to the West Coast! GET ME OUTTA HERE!!! surprise

Hopefully tonight I can work on some new music.. I ned to push out of this antibiotic haze and make some progress before I lose it all.sad

I can commiserate.  For most of my career I had an engineer-equipped office.  A real office with a door and usually a window.  The height of my career was a large private office with a door, a very nice swivel desk chair, a nice guest chair, filing cabinets, lots of bookshelves, a layout table and a couple of blackboards, near the top of a big new building on the top of a hill with the window overlooking the sweep of tech company campuses northwest of Washington DC.  I was doing research for a government think-tank on advanced and experimental communication technologies and protocols.  Then after 10 years I quit that job, and traveled on motorcycle for a year.  I came back into private industry (big mistake for me) and ended up in a small office, that I had to share, then the company wanted that space for something else and I got moved into the call center (shudder)  entombed within a cubical with half height partitions, a plastic chair, no filing cabinets, no blackboard, no table, and 2 square feet of desk area.  That was the last straw.  Bye.

Wow, that blows! sad I wish I could change careers.. getting really tired of this kind of crap.  I'm sure with enough work I could get back into game development, use the free Unity engine and make a few portfolio piece games.. maybe even sell a few copies.  Tons of work to pull of, but maybe worthwhile.. have to investigate..

My roommate complained that I had a naked girl on my screen.  It is not my fault that Genesis 3 female loads nude.

Switch to smooth shaded view and say it's a statue if it's the skin that's an issue, or save a scene with her in at least underwear and load that instead of the base.

Or tell the roommate to grow up!
