Ooh, just woke to find two adorable sketches in my inbox (on another site of course) from an artist I commissioned <3

A drawing of Tigrex (One of my fav Monster Hunter critters)  and two 10+ year old DnD characters I had created.

two decade-old DnD characters of mine that have gone unused for a looong time :<

On the left is Emily, a perpetually cheerfull Copper Dragon, and on the right is her mate - red dragon Lexius. Lexius was chased out of his nest at an early age due to being a runt and a 'pushover' as he was much less aggressive than his siblings. Between that and not being as aggressive as his siblings, he was chased out of the nest at an early age, so had to fend for himself for much of his early life. He grew up with different experiences and as he found his own way in life, his nature gradually shifted to a more 'neutral' stance than the traditional chaotic.
He ad Emily first met while in their human forms, and started spending time together with each other.

Emily I recall was fleeing from something/someone at the time, which is why she was in human form - but I can't recall what it was, if I even came up with an idea for that. I only know that in-character, she was reluctant to speak of it, even to Lexius (I figure she didn't want to drag him into her own problems, even after they were mated)

Emily: "Oh come onnnn smile for our picture" :D
    Lexius: "I am smiling...." >_>

Heh, not reading all 122 messages, if anything is critical PM me.

Phone interview at 2:00PM today, doesn't feel like a good fit but it's worth a shot.

And, on the OMG OMG OMG front, the fellow I'vebeen doing some audio-for-video work with in the UK has just licensed 4 songs from me at $100 each! It's not a ton of money but is enoug to carry me on for several weeks before disaster finally befalls me!  PLUS, I can say I have now been paid for my music to be used to score animation to, so I qualify as a semi-pro!!!

I'll be making os list of the videos and posting them here, 2 are already done.  There may be more in the works as well!

OMG CASH MONEY FOR MY MUSIC!  laughsurprise Every little bit helps, I swear! My burn rate is low so this will bail my butt out.

Bought 3 Powerball tickets, maybe I'll win $10 lolol!!

Back to sending files tp the UK...

I love technology... When it's applied smartly. In the absence of that, it's super annoying.

Last night my wife came home and told me the tire pressure light was on in her SUV...  Tire pressure sensors are now standard equipment in cars and they are a great idea... Our other vehicles have a display where you see an outline of the vehicle on the dash with the tire/tires that are low highlighted by an LED... Same with the doors. My van has it too... But not the Toyota... It's just a little lit up triangle with an exclamation mark and "tires" below... Or something like that, but the point is you now have to figure out which tire is low... But despite that low tech approach, there is a cool dash display that tells (iPad just changed "tells" to "Ellis" for some reason)... It tells you which door is open, if the sun roof is open and if any of the windows are open as well... Including the tailgate window... Nice... Why couldn't they figure out adding that to the dash display, who knows... But okay, they guy in charge of that was out sick that day with really bad diarrhea, I suppose... But that's not the really annoying part...  So I go out this morning at 6 AM, to check the tires... It's firkin 18° with about 25-30 mph gusts of bone chilling wind... I check the tire pressure and none of them are low... Okay, so maybe there is a discrepancy between my gauge and the sensor... So I bust out my four other gauges (digital and analog) and check it between them... There is a slight difference, possible .3 psi... So I drag out my portable compressor and over pressurize each by .3 psi... Nothing... By .5... Nothing... By 1.0... No... 1.5... Still no... Okay, either it's broken or... (A small dim lightbulb appears over my head... A thought?)  No... They wouldn't... I heard some cars have them, but... Noooo...    So I crawl under the vehicle and check the full size spare mounted underneath... With the tire valve conveniently positioned as far forward as possible... FYI the ground is very cold in the morning... Especially when you are laying in a frozen puddle.  The iPad changed that to "poodle"... I was not laying on a frozen poodle... Which when I just typed "poodle", iPad forgot that word exists and changed it to "noodle"... Firkin technology...  But I digress... After wedging myself under there I find the spare is .5 lbs low...    So you include the spare in the sensor package, but don't have any way of telling me which tire is low... I hope that diarrhea was explosive and fiery... So now I have to fix the tire pressure in all four tires and wedge myself back under there to adjust the pressure on the spare.    This is the stuff that pisses me off about technology, because you always have some good bright idea, and then somehow on the way out the door some idiot drops the ball and it goes from being a great help to being an annoying inconvenience.

You can train them to do that... It depends though on whether they are genetically reengineered dinosaurs or ones collected via time travel... Those tend to be less docile, far more bitey, difficult to house break and very insistent on rampaging and not holding poses.
