I am doing a facial mask to see if that will help me feel better.

    For you or for Vicky?

for myself, but would love to have a facial mask for Vicky and friends.   She has to somehow pamper herself after doing all the hard work of modeling for me.

was just depressing myself with the math.  20 minutes is like 36000 frames.

there tricks to padding the frame count?

It wouldn't hurt to animate @ 24 FPS (=1440 frames in a minute), you can always interpolate the animation to 30 FPS later if you neeed to.

You can animate on two's or threes, that is only keyframe every second or third frame like they do with claymation work. Iz a bit redundant for CGI cos the compy is inbetweening for you so is not that much of a time saver

You need to make a storyboard. A robust way to make a start with storyboarding is first make a list of dot points describing the action of each item/character/stuff in the frame.

You need to work in manageable grabs like, say, for instance, 3 - 5 seconds at a time.

tryin to keep it simple >.<  wanted to render same action from different cameras, to cut on action.
wasting rendered frames is gonna hurt.

    one scene at a time!

5 seconds at a time. lol

OK so you render an unlit and untextured preview (or previz we say) of each shot first, cut those together and use the result as a guide for rendering only what you need. Iz the animatic production method, if you wanna google animatic :)

That's nothing.  Boston is supposed to have a morning low of 8F.  Wind chill will be below zero!  surprise  I won't be going out in the morning!  I haven't watched the news yet, so I don't know what it will be in this area, but lately it hasn't been that far from the Boston temperatures.

...still forecasting freezing rain and icy conditions through tomorrow morning.  Still trying to shake off the"cabin fever" from being stuck inside during the 3 day windstorm.   Now two more days because of ice..

I am doing a facial mask to see if that will help me feel better.

I tried that once.  But the mouth hole was too small for my fangs and people said it looked weird.

I was more thinking of a soap/facial cleanser based facial mask verses that.   At least my fangs are retractable so they do not get in the way until I need them.

I was going to suggest something if it was a real problem but I do not know if you have any roommates or housemates who would be offended by the suggestion

    www.animatic.co.uk/what-is-an-animatic

What is an animaticanimatic [an-uh-mat-ik] / noun. 1. a preliminary version of a film, produced by shooting successive sections of a storyboard and adding a soundtrack.

so when you got the cuts sorted you start to worry about rendering what you need with textures, lights etc, the method is useful cos it avoids final rendering stuff you won't use :)

I live alone, and thankfully things are better today.

I won't be doing THAT again!
