Morning.  rain glossed rooftops and roads overnight, even hulking cream amd ochre concrete towers haz the soft-lit shinning from luminous grey clouds loaded with more than their fair share of our bush that went up in smoke the past couple of days :)

Apparently this was what I was going to post last night, but I never hit "Post Comment....

"Happy New Ye... Christmas!  I'm very disoriented by the weather, it's rainy and foggy and unless my vehicle is lying to me, it's  67° F outside... I have to get my car to stay outside and stop telling me the weather... I soooo don't feel like going out, but I have 155 more miles to do before I can take my shoes off... Well, I can drive barefoot, but I save that for the beach... People hate when I drive barefooted on the beach... But hey, it's all for science. Actually I only drive on approved beaches in conjunction with my beach permit... But I do let the sea turtles drive occasionally... They are so adorable trying to honk the horn with their little flippers.  I really should have seen if any of the turtles were busy today and if they were interested in driving me around... "

I guess I made it home... It was a very stressful day yesterday, the only people on the road where those who only drive once a year, badly and in the left lane at a minimum of five miles per hour slower than the speed limit, and their eternal companions the idiots hellbent on causing a fatal accident for the holidays... There literally is a reliable formula one can observe in action when the two are within proximity of each other... They feed off each other in amazing ways. Seriously, there were so many bad drivers yesterday....  Makes the idea of driverless cars almost seem good...  I was actually thinking about it last night, and even though I hate the idea of robotic cars, I think I could live with it one way... Everyone who wants to have a car but not be responsible, has to have a robot car, but if you are willing to take a written and road test every couple of years (I'm fine with 2) then you can drive your car yourself, you get a special license... The other people can get ferried around by their robotic nannies, so they can text, pick their noses or primp and preen to their heart's delight. I know that would never go though and even if others agreed with the idea, it would be butchered to nonsense before it became law... But still, I see a day where people will give in to laziness and the option of actually driving your car will be off the table... Especially if it's an iCar.  It's amazing to me how many younger people I know, don't want a drivers license or even care to drive... Not out of environmental concerns, but out of laziness.

I hope everyone had a good holiday and even if you spent it alone, that at least in some measure it was pleasant... And if you spent it with family, it was good... or at least over as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

I'm glad you got rain... I hope it helped lower the fire risk somewhat.

Sturday, supposed to rain all day, supressing my desire to get out and about.  72F right this instant as well, A/C is on and redby because it'll heat up fast once I start cooking.

One football game tonight, at 8:30EST.. might watch it, curious as to how the Redskins do.  Mostly ball tomorrow, feel lazy, will just go get wings at the Wingstop a block and  a half aay and keep them warm in the crock pot.

Gonna be home for New Years Eve, as usual - my crowd tolerance right now is zero. indecision

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Crowd tolerance = 0  My type of person.  I'd ask you to visit but my crowd tolerance is 0.

Actually, since I live in a house divided into two apartments, I surprisingly did miss people when the other apartment was empty for a few months.  Now that another family with young children have moved in with their clomping up and down the stairs, yelling and screaming kids, crying, and arguing from the other side of the wall, I'm just as happy as a pig in mud now that I have something to bitch about again.

    Heh.

I'm good for about 3-4 people for short (less than 1 day) burts, then I need alone time. indecision

I hate screaming kids with a fiery vengance, only slightly less than I hate sceaming adults. angry

Uh, you're not the one making all those people scream, are you? Just asking...

Aha!  The truth comes out.  The same screaming kid and adults get on my nerves too.

CBS News here in Austin last night showed people out on the beaches, picking up the sea turtles.  Probably would have been hard to find any to drive you around.

Two different orders from amazon looks like they are being shipped in the same box.   I went to check the tracking of one order and they are showing both orders in the same shipment. interesting.

It's very hard to pick up sea turtles as none of the standard lines work with them...

It's all scripted and choreographed anyway!  It depends on who's the good guy in the movie!
