I guess I could add an item to the cart and try to figure out the number of my punches as others in this thread did but the different ongoing discounts in the shop make this almost impossible.

As there is no store-wide discount going on today, it's actually easy: you just have to add a non discounted product.

As an example, currently, the costliest item on the shop is non discounted and easy to find by sorting Price from high to low: https://www.daz3d.com/3d-magician-enchanted-15-in-1-bundle

OK, I just did it and apparently I have 15% discount altough my last purchase was Nov. 27. Apparently I was on 3 punches on that date but didn't notice. The whole thing is just annoying.

    Edit:
I just noticed that I wouldn't get 15% discount on the lighning deals.
I could not find any information about the lighning deals being excluded from the holiday rewards. It only says "Holiday Rewards discount cannot be used on gift cards, licenses, and memberships."
    Is this another bug?

  • Same issue for me - I should have 3 now, but only have 1. I missed the day before yesterday nringing me down to 2, then bought yesterday to bring back up to 3...but it only shows 1.

For an unknow reason, Lightning Deals prices are showed with the punchcard discount already included. A copy of my message about the situation:

I just bought something for $ 0.87, which was a 95% discount on base price.

Looking at the product on a private browsing windows, the current base price is $5.94 and if I didn't forget one discount somewhere, the maths should be as follow (rounded each time):

    • Lighnting Deals discount (60%): 5.94 x 0.4 = 2.38
    • Daz+ Member Base discount (30%): 2.38 x 0.70 = 1.67
    • Daz+ week-end bonus discount (20%): 1.67 * 0,8 = 1.34
    • Punchard discount (35%): 1.34 x 0,65 = 0.87
  • I lost all my stamps, at least visibly, for not purchasing anything on the 29th.
i can not figure out, if they still do work. In fact, i am never really sure how to calculate properly.

the advent-calender however, opened a door... with the same items from previous day....
while it this could imply, that there are probably stamps left that allowed to open the door,

giving the same two items on follow-up day seems kinda cheesy
not sure if this came to be due to lack of purchase for one day, or if it was meant to be that way, or if it is/was a bug.

    anyways...

Just add this product to your cart (it's not discounted, and it's currently the highest price on the store, so easy to find smiley): https://www.daz3d.com/face-mojo--facial-mocap-retargeting-genesis-3-and-8-bundle

I tested it right now and it's displaying the correct discount for my situation, so it should help determine your too.

    WOW, what a mess.

The pricing and discounts could not be more obscure.

Thank you for figuring it out.

I've had no reply from Daz Help despite some days of waiting.

The new offer builds on the old offer which was already failing.

I lost all three of my punches and so I'm not even allowed to see what free gifts I am missing.

I will not buy anything new while I am owed a substantial discount.

This is a hell of a way to treat custiomers.

Today I found out that although the punches didn't show I never lost any of them.

I didn't do any purchases for 2 days but still can open the advent calendar which means that I must have had 3 punches on the 28th even though no punches were shown back then.

Without doing any purchases you will lose punches, no matter if there is a bug displaying them or not.

I'm not saying that the implementation is good but for me the discounts and the advent calendar are working as advertised.

Yesterday morning, I had 2 holiday rewards.

I missed the deadline to place an order yesterday.

Acorrding to the "rules", I would loose 1 reward.

But today I have NO rewards, I lost BOTH of them.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Yep -- same here.  This happens, advent calendar is buggy -- I think Krampus must be in control...   ;)

If you are able to open the advent calendar today then it's only a visual bug, you still got that punch.

Somebody posted a way to find out how many punches you have by putting a non-discounted asset in your cart. Have a look at the previous page of this thread.
If the discount in the cart is 10% or 20% (15% or 25% for Daz+ members) then you still have 1 or 2 punches.
Edit: It was Elor and he posted the instructions on this page also, just 6 posts above this one.

The punches problem isn't today -- it happened to me a few days ago.  Had two punches, missed a day and both of them vanished.  Not just one, but both of them.  We'll see how it goes today -- I've collected 3 now so we'll see if it works.

As for advent -- yesterday's registered as $4 something in the cart all the way to checkout so I didn't even bother with it...

Yes, based on my purchases, I should have two punches today.

Clean run of purchases off several days up to the 26th, so clearly had maximum punches then.
No purchase on 27th, so down to two on 28th. (I checked something in the cart on the 28th though, and while no punches were shown on the card, I had the correct 25% discount, so assumed it was a bug with how the card was displaying).
No purchase on 28th, so down to one on 29th. (Again, blank card, but checked the cart next day, correct 15% discount shown).
Purchase on 29th (but it was an advent, so no extra punch card discount), which should bring me up to two on the 30th...

... no, and there's only 15% in the cart, so the one punch here is what I now have and I've lost one.

Only purchases from the last 3 days count.

Simple table on how one earns the punches

    10%, 25% and 35% for Daz+ members

When the punches were introduced, I asked for clarification and Richard gave it.

If that is the intent, then the description needs to be changed, because that is not consistent with the text on the sales page.

The description is reasonably read as "your total goes up or down by one each day depending on whether you made a purchase the previous day", there's nothing about punches expiring after three days or one punch for each of the last three days you purchased on or whatever you're saying it is.

  • Sorry to bother you, can someone tell me what is the today item in the calendar ? I'm bugged :

That's Daz marketing as usual, but in the link I gave, Richard explains that the punches are valid for three days and if you miss a day, not only will you not earn a punch for that day, but one of the punches you had, will be taken away.

Nobody knows. We're all bugged. Plus it would seem that everyone gets different items anyway.

  • The blurb and rules for the punches have been updated, they seem to be simpler now.

  • The duplicated Advent items are being investigated.

It's past midnight at my place and suddenly the price of the advent calender item (Nov. 30th) went up.

I then went to the advent calender page and clicked on the next day (Dec. 1st) and it did show the same items again, so I put the same item in my cart.

Amazingly I still got the discount with this item ($2.99) altough I did my last purchase on Nov 27, so by Dec. 1st I definitively shoudn't have any punches left.

Maybe the web page uses the date on my computer to show the advent calendar items? And the shop calculates with the date from Utah.

But why would the price of yesterdays item go up if the shop uses Utah time. Or why do I still got punches?????????????????

That's not how it works for me.

I made my last purchase on Nov. 27th but I still have one punch on Nov. 30th.

It only seems to add up if I also consider my purchases from Nov. 26 and Nov. 21 - 23.

The system was changed - now it is ten percentage points for each of the previous three days on which there was a purchase, + members get an extra five percentage points as long as there is at least one purchase day.

  • this just isnt right.

while i got no plans to fight over it,
imho, one can`t just change a system to a customers disadvantage in between.

my purchases were made based on the former systems description.
changing the rules of a game while it is still running...
i consider this bad business practice

Thank you for updating us. I really appreciate your job. But WOW your company sure knows how to mess things up.

BTW, there is a typo in the description "Receive a punch for each day you've made a purchased over $1 in the past 3 days."

How is it to the customers' disadvantage? It reduces the penalty for missing a day, but you still need three consecutive days with purchases to get the maximum discount on the fourth day (and on, as long as you keep purchasing).

    don`t take it personal.
i already explained it twice. i am tired of doing so. i loose/lost 1 day of 10%.
    anyways...
    not worth fighting over it.
i have drawn my conclusions already.

The attached image shows the old terms, not the new (which are 10 prcentage points for each of the previous three days on which a purchase over $1 was made, plus 5 percentage points for + members if there were any purchases over $1 in the previous three days). The text was wrong this morning, but as far as I know the code was working on the new, more favourable rules.

i missed one day and lost 2 days of 10%. but as i wrote already: its not worth fighting over this. i just held back spending money and kept myself from looking for possible purchases.
bought the minimum to get back to 35% tomorrow. then i am going to use my last daz+ coupons.
Not saying i won`t spend any money anymore. but i had 14 months of daz+ membership and spent about 1/3rd of my income each month in daz store to build up a decent library.
    Its time to move on.
i found myself a nice set of premium oil colors for 200€. (which is about 50% discounted)
the nice thing about it: they are going to last around 2-5 years. i do not have to fool around, guess the outcome of my cost, take screenshots and check twice to make sure nothing goes wrong, or purchase 3 other items to get them at given price.
It says 200€. I pay 200€. I get the things soon after.
    Such a relief it is!

i know you and your colleagues are taking a lot of heat and have an unforgiving job over here to calm the waves. Explaining things over and over again.
i am not mad at you or anyone. i still consider DAZ studio as a premium application and i plan to use it for a long time to come.
but, for the moment, the DAZ store is a place that makes me mad. i lost my calm over events from the past 6 months i spent there.
i don`t want to bother anyone with my complains. i don`t like myself very much when i constantly feel the need to complain.
better to stay away for a while.
