IMO, when they're that pushy, they're probably there to hurt you or case the house.  That's when you say "You're about to have some more experience with law inforcement" and call 911 on them for trespassing XD

Do people still sell door-to-door Stateside? I've not seen a salesman like that over here for a long time

Yes, every once in a while.  Mostly selling home improvement products like replacement windows, roofing, and home security systems.  I used to live in a neighborhood where there had been a recent high-profile crime.  That day, the local home security providers were knocking on every door!  smiley

    This week's "Security."  Charlotte's got a plan.

Up to #61 position on the main list.  Steady progress up the charts.  Well done.

Something weird is happening with voting at TWC.  I usually hover in the 50's and 60's.  Now, with the same number of votes, I'm at 96 and will probably be booted off the first page soon.  And it's not just me.  One comic that finished in the top 10 last month and usually finishes in the top 20 is at 91 today.  I don't think it's a coincidence, and it's not a coincidence that it started in January.

Very funny. Like this episode. Cleverly flagged in the last episode so. Just thought it would be a neighbour metaphorically biting the salesman rather than a dog doing it literally.

    Regards,

    Richard

I also considered having Kurt intervene, but I think it was better, and funnier, to have Charlotte handle things herself.

    Thanks, Richard.

That was a fun ending to the chapter.

And congratulations on the One Year milestone.  It has been interesting watching this story develop with the great characterizations and renders.

    Best of luck going forward.

I just voted and we're still getting that sweet "kiss" render that we get as reward on the landing page. Such a cute couple.

There really is something strange with the rankings on that particular site.  There are titles on the first page that are absolute average and boring. Mediocre art and almost no cohesive story and really mundane banner marketing. Not sure how these online comicbook art sites can sometime be gamed this way.

Are there other ranking options out there to generate traffic?

It's like there are bots out there that can generate 100's of votes a day and somehow fool the voting script that they're coming from different IP addresses. :(

  • As usual, superb posing and I loved the domesticity of these images. The only thing that made me think 'ooh' was the chin down head pose of Kurt's in image 2, just felt his head would have less of a bend and bend the neck forward instead . Other than that - no, even including that - I wish I could pose characters that believably and consistently. Regards, Richard.

I know it's been said over and over, but your expressions for these characters are SO good!  They look so natural and believable!  And I really like these "slice of life" comics, they're fun and relatable.  Juuuust enough stress to keep them interesting ^_^

    Hi Fae3D,

I love doing stories of Charotte and Kurt just being Charlotte and Kurt  because I think they both are so damned cute!  heart

I usually use the neck control to positon the head, but this time I didn't.  Not sur ewhy except maybe to save time, and it takes an eagle eye to notice such a thing.  Sometimes you just live with it and move on.

There are neck bend sliders? How have I missed them?

Will take a look when I nerve myself up to turning my repaired DS PC back on. Learn something every day.

But honestly, my comments are not intended as criticism, more as a way where I might be able to contribute a little to make things even better - and as the standard is so high, there really isn't much room to help.

    Regards,

    Richard.

  • Thanks.

That's where I've been going wrong. Too much hang-over from when I first tried DS (release 0.7beta or there-abouts) when such things didn't exist, and I didn't look for it when I came back to DS after a 12 year hiatus in 2019. Doh!

    Regards,

    Richard

"Daydreaming"  Part 3.  So what do you think?  Is Kurt husband material?
