Hi PerttiA. I've just installed Opera and alas it doesn't seem to show there. Am I missing something?

...I was a bit amused by the character Joan who I suspect (based on the bundle) was released to commemorate Jeanne d'arc for National Women's Day which is today.    Jeanne d'arc was  a peasant girl in her teens (she was executed when about 19 years old)  who worked on a farm so she was no demure lass but likely nothing like the Daz character who looks heavily muscled (and more mature) character who could take on The Rock or Hulk .Hogan in their prime.

    ALERT!

For those of us still using Carrara - today was not just a mad day - it was INSANE!

I spent $72 and got just under $1500 off!! That's 20 V4/M4 items (mostly bundles), and 15 Genesis items (again many bundles). I bought 3 cheaper modern items to get the discount.

Get in while you still can.

I find on FF there is a delay for the graph and extra Daz Deals product info to load. It's still there, but one must be patient.

I don't know, I'm rarely touching things before Iray. Moreover, you need to buy something to get the deal XP.

That stuff is old. Sure, I'd get some 'cause I use those figures, but the buy-in is too hefty. I'm a patient vulture and I usually only go for best deals with no buy-in. devil

Yeah, collected the cart up to around $100 yesterday (well over $2000 without discounts), but then I started trimming it down with "would I actually be using this any more" and ended up with just one of the DAZ+ new releases and a few $3.45 G8 items for a total of $21.

Nothing much has changed on today's page, deals no better than yeasterday... Is MM running out of steam?

Especially when you can see that the "good deals" with $30-$50 buy-ins are still way more expensive than what the items have been sold for previously... Going through thousands of items and not finding anything worthwhile to compensate the buy-in, is no incentive to keep looking...

Maybe they're giving people more time to buy in? Their whole marketing effort likely takes a fair amount of time and energy. Can't blame them for leaving some stuff up for more than a day. Or maybe they really are doing something different? They used use their promo slide player to leave a deal up for a few days and stack new deals on top. We'd have sometimes several slides linking to different deal pages. Now, it seems they're transferring the carry-overs to the current day's slide with all the current deals on one page. Then they may have some sort of all-day flash sale. Then maybe more flash sales added later. At least that's what I've observed.

Okay, I'm just going to say it, this is the lamest March Madness I can remember!  It's been saving me lots of money so I really can't complain.  I agree with others that have stated that a bundle a day is a bit much.  I truly wonder if Daz sales are up or down with the latest types of sales they have been having.  I have been rendering more and buying less so I'm going to go with this is a good thing for the moment.

They had a good offer day before yesterday, but it turned out to be a glitch laugh

Where are the $10 mega and pro bundle deals, instead of individual base characters, which one buys twice when getting the whole bundle later on...

Like most things, it's only dangerous when mixed with fear.

I like them to give us more time - in my case it worked out and i am not sad about it!

BTW this sale was one of the best IMO, thinking back of the 2.09$ Sale, and many 2.99 sales offering really the good DO stuff.

The G1 and Generation4 sale from yesterday and today has a high buyin, but in contrast to other recent ones with high buyins you really get a lot, so yes it is old but still i am tempted.

  • mdingmding Posts: 1,267

Wow, for $41.07 I could get $2095.97 worth of G1 and Generation4 products. Still, i decided to not go beyond G2, so i pass,  but for those interested, thats an awesome deal!

It's been pretty rough. Most deals require buying two or three of something unwanted or some other complex combination and most of the really major things aren't on sale.

So many new characters and bundles -- one right after another. We need a good gift card sale. Please, please.

I respect spiders. They are good insects who eat harmful pests. I leave spiders alone. But I don't think I want to render a spider. I haven't had enough caffeine yet to look at a cg spider. Good job on the garden spider. I think it's a good asset. But I'm going to go have some more caffeine now. surprise

Oh it would be great for Halloween or nature renders or ... more tea. Yep. I need more tea.

I drank my tea, mustered my courage, and took another look at the spider. Browsing the promo pics, it's a very nice spider, and I admire all the other insects Sylvan has created, too. :)

Friendly advice. You may want to put on another kettle before braving the deals farther down - Sickleyield's Spiderfolk are about. On the Prehistoric page I think.

ETA: After looking it over, I had to wishlist it. The tree with web prop is such a great bonus. Plus some of the promos show whimsy and humor.

I know how you feel. On the first day, I picked about 5 or 6 and told myself "that's it". I probably would have been tempted yesterday or today to buy more (despite saying that was all I was getting), but the code is the same and only usable once. Oh well. I guess I'm saving up money for the next big offer.

Giant spider people! EeeeK! And you are right, the promos of the garden spider do show whimsy and humor. I like the one of the spider sitting on the notebook page with the itsy bitsy spider lyrics! laugh

Yeah, I got some hairs with it... Was tempted to add a few characters, but then again I don't want to buy them separately, as I'm after the bundles and then I would be paying the second time for the character...
