Yes, so a Union Jack roof would work... :)
..excellent., have a different graphic to put there but that is good.
Roses Gas Station. Love that model!

Poseray will convert .lwo files. It's free too.
Sketchup has tons of new car makers. I downloaded about 20 new cars and trucks. This one is a 1958 Chevy Apache that has been around a while but never like this. I just love this 4x4 version. Doors open, hood and tailgate also. Has a nice big 6 cylinder with good detail and plug wires. All around nice model. I will post more as I convert them. Got a few I've never seen before.
Here is one I don't think I've seen before. A 1947Chevrolet Surburban. Everything opens including the back doors.
I just love this cute little Peel P50 three wheeler. Wheel in back steers it like a forklift. Backwards from regular steering. Go right, turn left...go left, turn right. Like a boat.
...I could never get it to work right. Hex and Bryce will convert them, but again I lose all mapping.
so how are they for the usual curse of sketchup flipped normals/faces? Any better than the usual mess ??
Duffy Duz It Again!
Nice old Chevy! My uncle had one of those, looks like the same year. His was a light tan color, red interior if I remember correctly.

1964, Impala SS, black was always one of its best colors, but it also looked in in a myriad of other colors as well, I had one that my brother actually owned at the time, it was more of a teal color, with a light blue interior, these days all you get for interior colors are blacks and grays!!
The files now are much bigger. Used to be 3 or 4 megs only allowed when Google had it, but now they are 20 or 25 megs average with lots of detail and not just cars either, furniture and artwork and some entire sets are now there for download. They too come out great. So far all the cars I have converted have the maps correct and the colors right. No flips showing white faces, and the grouping is correct so not colors going to the wrong places like before. I think that most of these cars are converted GTA and Mafia cars which are probably some of the best meshes out there. You can usually tell a good car from a bad by the file size.
...actually found two other Mini models there both with interiors so DL'd all three.
__________
...well neither Hexagon or Carrara can import .blend files.
...OK did some more searching and while not free, for 6$ looks very good and I believe is already in .obj format.

Roadblock!
Oh, oh!
Nice.

revisited an old scene with a different HDRI and this time with IBL master..
...well pretty much giving up on the Mini project.
Need a decent interior for certain shots and I simply cannot afford 75$ - 100$ for a pro grade model. Exhausted myself researching free models only to come up short of what I need. If only .3ds format was not such a pain to convert and retexture.
Still disappointed that the model sold in the store here has the issues with the tyres and wheel wells considering it is normal price (22$) and how long I waited for it to go on sale, otherwise it would work as it has the proper material zones and a decent looking interior for the era. Unfortunately it would require having to take it into a modelling programme and modify the mesh itself (not even sure if that can be done as I have no idea how to disassemble it) so I can clean up areas that need it without affecting other parts of the model.
TS has a fairly nice looking model in .obj format for 25$ and was almost willing to go that far, except it has that bloody "Editorial Use Only" restriction.
Is that one of those Model A Ford's from Humpster 3D?
Lisa and the Caddy, this time, a 41 Caddy!
.
I like this Knucklehead!
Heh- I owned a 41 FL for a bit - another ex-police bike.. nice render.. looks more Pan than Knuck, though... :)
Probably made by someone who doesn't really know the difference, but the knuckles are there, I personally think the valve covers are a little wide, but that is probably what is giving it that Panhead look.
There is a not to bad Panhead bobber over at grabcad.... Used it for this.. The old billy custom bike had a sort of Knuck as well..
Those bikes look good, I need to get over to grabcad, haven't looked over there in awhile!
The second one is from the old Billy custiom bike sets
The Scene of the Crime!
I think I prefer the sepia-toned version.
