Thanks.. had these models forever, just digging them out and trying them now...
Continuing a theme....
Small version reminded me of a Hornet, but it's not that, is it?
Dana
Mid '70s AMC Matador..
Working on a Pacer for the next one... I got the AMC models quite a few years bac as part of a CD included with a 3d graphicsd magazine...
I knew it looked like an AMC product. The Hornet was AMC, right?
Dana
Yep, the Hornet was an AMC product in the 1970's ...
So many cool cars up in here! I got tons of them. I wanted to post a few renders I never posted before. Maybe to inspire some of you to post yours. Heres a few.
Here be a few of mine!
And a few more!
Ahhh! Overdose of coolness!
Dana
I have rendered a 55 chevy with both 3dDelight and Iray render engines. The first is our familiar 3d Delight, the second is the new Iray. Both in Daz 4.9 with NO postwork done. I used the Iray shaders for the Iray and Dazfires car shaders for the 3d Delight. You decide which is better. I have mixed feelings about them. I like the Iray shadows better, and the body surface looks very real for an older car! The windshield reflection is gone, but in the 3d Delight it is highly exagerated. The tires suck in Iray as does the mags. Great chrome in 3d Delight as always.Somewhere in between would be perfect.
Are they freebies? got a link? I got some Tom shaders. I will look through them.
Here is the Iray render with postwork. Turned out pretty realistic. I wanted a road worn look...not the typical spotless showcar look. Way too many of them out there. I think the aged non metalic black shader looks pretty real for an older car paint job. Here is the final render. Oh...can anyone tell me how to get a full sized render to post inside the actual post...not a small picture attachment.
Click on your pick, copy the link in the browser, then go back to your post, in the upper right hand corner, you can edit your own post, click on edit, then click the image button, paste the link, then set the size of the pic at no more than 800 pixels, then save the comment.
I assume you were looking for something more like this?
Now how about Nationale7's 53 Stude?
I'm gonna try this...ok...this is the finished render of the 55 chevy. I found out, with help over in the commons, how to get the correct reflection image into place. So this is a bit different as you can see. Now I'm gonna try to put the image into the post like Woodard said. Here goes.
I finally did a decent render of my Monkeemobile I made a few years ago. An Iray render using Toms car shaders. Turned out real nice. No postwork needed. Right out of the Monkee box...haha.
I love this render. Stud Hawks were terrific. She ain't too bad either!
Mus, you still have to upload the attachment, then click on it to go to the full size image then copy the url, that is what you will need to paste into the image box.
I did that. But I moved the original image from one folder to another. It should not have affected it though. I redid it this morning. Lets see if it stays this time. (sized at 800)
I just got Biston's Old Gas Station. Cool rig. Tried a Iray and got only black! But the 3d Delight is so good, almost real. Here is a render with the 56 Victoria.
You don't use the image again, so going to the folder the image is in isn't going to work, since you uploaded the image, it is full size at its own web address, you copy that address and use it in the image prompt, then you resize it to fit the page.
Last Chance Gas isn't set up for Iray, too bad, it would be easier to actually render it that way, its a beautiful set to be sure, but it does work fine with 3D Light. As does the old Warehouse 56 Vicky.
I got the night add on for it. Here is a night render. It took 3d Delight about an hour to render it...moved very slowly across thos pixels...lol. tried a second nighty right after this one, from the side garage, and it just stopped about a third of the way through. It's tongue was hanging out...haha. Gonna try a fresh start Tuesday (my day off) morning and see what it does. This set is awesome.
Day and night both look good! You couldn't convert it with the Iray Uber shader?
Dana
The 48 Caddy Convertible is from the warehouse, and Marina, (Marylynn) is from Renderosity, As is her hair and the bathing suit is from DAZ.
Two Vintage Girls.
The B&W suits the subject matter! Nice job!
