"Do you like tiefling?" "I don't know, I've never tiefled."
Maybe that's not how it goes.
I will look up the tutorial but here are the essentials:
To create the icy body look.
1.Complete your render and open in Photoshop. Alter photo as desired. When done, duplicate the layer or highlight areas you want to be wet using the selection tool and copy and paste in a new layer on top of previous layer.
2.Select the top layer
3.In Photoshop, got to the filter menu and load Filter Gallery
4.Under the artistic tab, select PLASTIC WRAP
5.Fiddle with the settings. In general you want smoothness, but not a huge amount of detail, and a fair amount of highlight strength. This will apply to the whole image or what you select The goal is to go for icy or wet. It will look odd when applied to the whole image.
6.Now erase the areas that you don’t want to be wet. Use a rough brush so this is not as noticeable.
7.Fiddle with the opacity of the layer, to get an icy look. Erase bits that you want to be more detailed or have less ice. Use a gravity stroke which goes from top to bottom when you do, to make it look more realistic.
8.You can use this on objects as well as people, like to make a slick icy rock for example.
Okay, this was Knittingmommy's request. Owen and Boyd competing in a sport. Owen is actually rather upset with Boyd in this scene- he has recently found out Boyd works for the Military Intelligence Corps.
I just saw this in the gallery and had to come tell you how much I love what you did! Really great scene! :)
The food and drink getting knocked off the table is awesome. Really adds to the reality of the scene
Thanks! Yeah, initially I used full pieces of chicken, but they looked weird. For some reason the half-eaten pieces of chicken look really so much better. =-)
Boyd is from the South and dreams of owning a home in the historic district of New Orleans.
That's cute. I love that handprint on Owen's (?) back.
Yeah, that's Owen. Boyd snatched a kiss earlier, and had some of that Pepto Bismo paint on his hand which he still does, apparently.
LOL!
I really love this one, the blue color is exquisite!!!!
Thanks Novica! I think the ice demon turned out well. It was fun to try a new technique.
This is a fun outfit, from rendo called Gynoid Tronic It is made for G3Female but autofits pretty well to males. I think I will use these for villainous cyborgs in my next project.
That's pretty cool! Would make a great cyborg indeed. Not sure how I feel about the pink for the house lol, but the two of them sure are cute together.
Those turned out really well! Cool backgrounds too!
SereneNight, what a great thread. I just discovered it. Your art is both interesting and fun, love it!
@Novica: yeah, those were just test renders. Backgrounds were just a render taken into photoshop and made more painterly using Topaz Impression
@AlliekatBlue: Hah! Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you like it.
"-Hey ladies, not that I'm not flattered and all, but I think you've got the wrong room..."
Private Frankee transfers in....Testing Owen's ability as a trainer.
Just wonderful. Seeing this image made me smile again and a new hope of being able to use the package of gynoids I got from last year. But, files not found and folders do not match. Can you help me please. How did you manage to use Technophilia Retro Gynoid V1 Halon?
Some of the old Runtime DNA content needs to be located before you can actually use it. If you use dim, the best way to handle it, is to locate where the files are actually stored.
For me, the files are located here: E:\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Runtime\Libraries\Props\Technophilia\Gynoids\Vol1 Halon\
So if you locate those files, you can use that directory to create a product..
The files will load but will certainly need to be retextures and parented perhaps manually to prevent distortion.
Thank you very much for advice you and Llynara help me to do this little one.
I use !UberEnvironment2 Bounce (GI) and the shader Supersuit's Centenial Silver to recolore textures.
That looks great! Good work!
Here, I reworked my sime model for Iray. I think this is my first, Sime for iray. I haven't photoshoped the sheaths or anything. Just testing to see how I liked her.
Oh my gosh I love those tentacles! I know we have had this conversation before lol, but that is just super cool.
Thanks! I have a male sime in the works, but for some reason, much harder to do than the lady simes. =-)
Those things remind me of the asimilation tubuals the Borg use in Star Trek just coming out of the wrists instead of the back of the hand. Looks really amazing
Thanks! I really appreciate that. It takes a lot of work to put eight on the character, and then pose them so they don't clip through the body or look unnatural.=)
I like the tentacle things. Are those something you made or is that a product I missed? They look good.
Tentacles are this one: https://www.daz3d.com/tentacles
Recolored with arm material and ngs shader and parented to a null.
