You're kidding right? IF? I'd cut a hole IN the floor if I knew that dude was waiting for me as I fell through it LOL.
I laughed out loud when I read this! Me too!
Ah! LOL!!!
I wanted to do a pose where the villain had his hands around the good guy's neck and had him bent over something like a railing while the good guy fought back by smashing his palm in the guy's face. So I made a pose for two M7's. When I finished, for some reason I decided to switch the villain with Boogeyman. The unforseen consequence of this, was that Boogeyman's arms were longer than a human and so the good guy would find it impossible to push him away in the face. Further, the hands around the throat became hands around the head, because well, he is Boogeyman and didn't want to behave. I sort of liked the result of this happy accident, although I suspect Boyd doesn't. Owen is more of heavy hitter.
I couldn't decide which version I preferred but finally went with the blue one. Which do you like more?
I think with the desert type background, I like the yellow/gold/orange whatever color it is, a bit better. Great posing and expressions!
Yeah, I like the dramatic shadows on that one on Boyd's face.
I actaully like the blue one better; to me, it gives a more ominous feel to the already ominous scene.
I think I like the second one better. I love the shadows and contrasts. But, the blue one is good, too, and has a different vibe to it.
I did a second render, rotated the dome of the blue image to get some more contrasting shadows on Boyd's face and enhanced some of the colors using pin light and other photoshop techniques. I think this is suitably eerie and yet, more dynamically colored.
Someone has requested a sequel to find out what happens next! I am working on it.
The answer is that Boyd is one dangerous guy. He just looks rather mild-mannered.
While that make the blue of his eyes stand out more (which I like) it also makes that blue chip on the forehead/side of face stand out more, and it distracted me a bit. It's more in the shadow so my eye was drawn to that brighter blue, in equal interest. But I do like what you did with the shadows, it just keeps getting better and better!
I actually like it a great deal- yes, it draws attention but it draws your focus to his fear and anxiety straight afterwards.
Okay, I am not particularly inspired artistically right now. Any requests for what you'd like to see rendered? And no sexy females in their underwear, because the gallery is full and there is no room for more! HAH.
Can you do a dark tiefling? Or....maybe... something along the lines of Ghost in the Machine?
Hah, my first thoughts always go to romance. However, one thought is that I'd love to see what kind of trouble the pair can get into while competing with each other playing videos games or mock sparring or something.
@darwinsmishap I can do a tiefling. I have tons of horns and such I haven't done. Will try that
@knittingmommy Boyd and Owen competing would be an amusing. Boyd would likely excel at the video games though he spent most of his young adult life as a brain in a tank and he loved video games and comics and all virtual things and is super nerdy . Owen is unconventional though and might catch on quick but it would be tough to beat Boyd at anything computerized. Sparring I could certainly handle though as deprived of his powered suit Owen is human and Boyd is greatly physically enhanced.
Sounds promising. :)
I love it when you do robots. Bots playing video games LOL!
Okay, here is my first attempt at tiefling. I went for the classic red look. I find tieflings interesting because the concept of nature vs. nurture can be explored. In honor of the requester I used one of Darwin's skins.
Looks nice! I had to look up the term "tieflings". I knew it sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. I was never a big D&D player, but I was and still am surrounded by those who play it.
Looks fantastic!
Oh, hello there. Nicely done!!
Glad I'm not the only one going, "Oh, okay. Whatever that is..."
Nope, not the only one! :)
Nope, not at all.
It wa my first time using fantasy skins for Genesis 3. Nice product!
Here's the ice tiefling version. Tried a new photoshop technique to make the skin look frosted over and covered with solid ice. I didn't like the hair. Very stringy in the front looks greasy to me, and bad choice with the horns, since the part comes right wear the horn root is. But I decided to go with it since it cooked all day while I was at work.
Not for nothing, but I do like the technique you used here. Really like the skin on this one.
Thanks! One thing I think is the hazard of skins for aliens and characters that are colored human skins is the 'tinted photo' quality of a recolored film.
I'm not sure how to ge around it, because lots of aliens are humanoid. But human skin tinted green or blue tends to look that way. Hopefully we'll get to the point where that is not the case.
Well clearly a day early on the demon stuff... But, well, I think mine are cuter.... =-) There is only so much raw skin and snaggley teeth I can handle.
Really like the ice one. I would very interested in that technique if there is a tutorial floating around somewhere.
And I agree, yours are way cuter lol.
