my buppy got off the bed by himself this morning. all the london broil and sweet potato cooking seems to be a good thing. :) :) :)
had to help him back on, but a lil bit at a time. we walked down the driveway, he did all his business. :) :) :) so, there's no blockages.

i put wee wee pads down all over the floor and my bed. every time he moved last night, i resettled the wee wee pad.
i researched wee pads on amazon, there's a lot of people going through the same thing with their elderly buppies.

i haz a good feeling we have more time together.

i want to learn how to make cranberry sauce from scratch. ingredient 1, cranberries. :) every dried cranberries i've seen is sweetened. i'd rather save the sweet for the ice cream.

someone's put the oldies station on. 'heart of glass laaaaa'.

    .

    'juke box heroooo'

'wake up Maggie, haz somethings to say'

That's all good news. I got this thing for Mango Chutney sauce right now....

...used to have a Carl's Jr (Hardee's on the west coast) in town. Now it's some veggie/vegan place.

Same happened to the Bridgeport Alehouse in the Hawthorne district.

Seems to be a trend as of late around here.

Didn't expect Painter X3 to install on Mac OS 10.6 but it did no problem. Painter usually only supports the last two versions of the OS, so lucky lucky lucky for me it was a late release just after the Mac OS Mavericks release

If they walk at normal speed, you lose the illusion of size and mass.
"Hey look! There goes a giant!"
    (shrugs) "That's cool."

Wow... it has been a while since I posted in one of these complaint threads.

Are we really supposed to be complaining?

I forgot if that was the point... I'm good at complaining and I want to share this power...

    Today's topic:

    I hate gravity...
I know, everyone is always all, "it keeps us stuck to the planet and without it we couldn't have an atmosphere... blah, blah, blah..." Personally I'm sick of gravity. Really, do we really need it everywhere? Always making you hit concrete when you are stepping out into open spaces and stuff...
Frickin' annoying... granted there is little we can do about it at this point now that we signed the lease on the planet, but since we are destroying the damn atmosphere anyway, that was like half the point anyway.
I'm pizzed off because yesterday I blissfully ran down a flight of stairs that didn't have any actual steps, so that more or less worked out as me careening downward at high speed towards the one step that did remain (apparently for comic effect), which thanks to our old friend Mr Gravity (sounds like a fat guy competition), caused my stupid leg to slip between the step and some concrete resulting in a weird celery crunching sound...
That was really disturbing since all I had in my pocket was raw carrots and it sounded nothing like crunching carrots...
Thankfully due to my Jedi cat-like reflexes and my camera which broke my fall, all I have is a really swollen knee... and I now walk like the Hunchback of Notre Damn. (I know that is not how it is spelled... Notre Darn)...
Let me stress this... I entirely blame gravity (and the guy who removed the steps)... I had it all under control... I stepped out into space and realized there were no steps, but then somebody had to go shout "there are no steps!" or course that resulted in drawing gravity's attention leading to an awkward Wile E. Coyote moment, just before gravity had to go and get involved. I didn't even get to use my "Yikes!" sign which I've been carrying with me just for this sort of occasion.
Stupid frickin' gravity... poking its nose in where it don't belong.
To make matters worse, I recently threw away my old crutches (trust, me giving them away to charity would not have been a good deed... probably more of a reckless act or felony)... so I'm walking around using an old rake handle... I look like a younger version of Gandalf when he came back from the dead after he slew the Balrog... I imagine he was pretty sore and bent over and cursing to himself over how heavy that Balorg was...
Well, now at least I get to see my doctor again and hear him tell me "Why are you here?"... "Go to an emergency room!"
Look in my opinion, as long as I can still walk like a two thousand year old wizard, I don't have to go there... I reserve that place for fire and blood loss related injuries.
Still, pizzed off at gravity though. That and my wife... she was all like "I told you so..." Really? You told me not to walk down stairs that weren't there?... Granted that is common sense, but I'm pretty sure it was not covered in any of my recent "take better care of yourself, you are not as young as you used to be" lectures...
My age had nothing to do with it... lack of tangible steps and overanxious gravity are what did this.
    Stupid gravity!
Well, I'm gonna go now because people are wondering what the hell I've been typing on my phone for so long... that and I'm getting sick of correcting auto correct (NO! ITS BALROG- NOT BALLROOM DAMN YOU!)...
    See ya...

Coming soon: "I hate auto correct!"

    Bye.
