Great render @Llola, I love a good game of chess!

LOL... can we come up with any more WOOD puns????  lol.

p.s.... You'd probably win a chess game with me.. I suck at it :(

    great render Llola yes

,I agree with Sapphirewild love good chess game

but its must be safe for women to play, because check mate(from old persian),doesnt mean "the queen is dead",but for men quite "deadly",because check mate means "the King is Dead" laugh

Thank you bigh, Llola Lane and L'Adair. I missed being here and yes L'Adair both renders made me smile A different kind of smile for each one.

I have a long line of smilers in my family. I was told when my great grandfather died it took the coroner a week to wipe the smile from his face. I was also told he died while sitting in the balcony at the burlesque theater.

Ha... Fun family tale!!!  Hope it's true.  Made me smile :)

Btw.. I am married to the most wonderful polish man... His last name translates to 'Smiling People'.... so I try to live up to the name every day ;)

I bet you do :),when you look at photos, renders, read jokes everyday, and compliments :)

Worse thing that could happen,is you get drafted by military and sent into a shooting war and get to know your name mean "sitting duck" :D

Oh Yes... indeed Mach... Hubby's nephew is going to Afganistan in a few weeks... Let's hope no 'sitting duck' for him!  I wish everyone would just learn to get along... then we wouldn't need war... or the military ;)

I must be going mad(der) - I could have sworn I'd seen someone post (over at PFDlives) a comment saying they'd expected me to do a wodden cat piccy, but I can no longer find out who (or where!) it was said ... so, as someone who must, therefore, remain anonymous suggested ...

I go away for a short time and return to see all these wonderful renders. March ended with a bang April and May were full of great work and now we have June.

bigh - very well done polished and bright. Reminds me of wall art that should cover an entire wall.
L'Adair - I see Pinochio found a mate and a home. Excellent work as always. Also I saw your May art work made the main page of the DAZ site. Congratulations and very well done.
Saphirewild - You chose a great model and expression for your art well done.
Ivy - Now that gave me a good reason to smile and be afriad of squirrels, great job.
mori_mann - Great seen. I love a good log cabin. I built one in my much much younger days. It only took 4 cans of Lincoln Logs. Do they still make those?
Llola Lane - Chess a classic game and a classy render, well done.

After all this good work I was a bit embarassed to post this month. But, if it makes you smile my shame will fade.

    Wooden Nickles

I don't care if you are my brother, business is business, and I don't take wooden nickles.

thats a fun render  it reminds me of a refference of Lucy in Peanuts doctor is in 5 cents first please, no wooden nickles smiley

Very creative render SimonJM , I wonder if that kitten wishes he was a real cat. like Pinocchio wishes he's a real boy

Thank you Ivy it was fun to do. I do wish you would have mentioned peanuts early. I can visualize Lucy's lemonade stand with Marcy waiting tables and Schroeder on the piano.

We've had some really fascinating and fun renders this month. Here's my attempt:

Title: The Quest for Something Wooden

"Hi Tika, could you have a rummage through my runtime for something wooden? Take Tor with you to do the carrying. I need to do a render on the theme of 'Wood', but if you can't find anything I'll just do a NVIATWAS with wood shaders on everything..."

It might have helped if Tika had asked what a NVIATWAS was.

nattaruk - Well done. Looks like some one will need a lot of hand rub wood polish.

xmasrose - That is a mighty fine beach house. Well ventilated for hot summer days and warm summer eves.

Seems that pfdlives is down.  I wonder if they were hit with a storm.  I don't know where their servers are.  Just thought I'd let you know, Llola.

Well done everyone... June is mostly over... On to July... and... Diptych Triptych...

A diptych (/ˈdɪptɪk/; from the Greek δίπτυχον,[1] di "two" + ptychē "fold") is any object with two flat plates attached at a hinge.

A triptych (/ˈtrɪptɪk/ TRIP-tik; from the Greek adjective τρίπτυχον "triptukhon" ("three-fold"), from tri, i.e., "three" and ptysso, i.e., "to fold" or ptyx, i.e., "fold")[1][2] is a work of art (usually a panel painting) that is divided into three sections, or three carved panels that are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open.

Hope that helps... Should be interesting to see what peeps come up with :)  Let the renderin' begin!!!

I noticed that, too. In a way, I'm glad it wasn't just my connection. But I'd rather it was something on my end than have the servers down!
    sad
