^ I see a male Taylor Swift anybody else?
Interesting. I never considered that, but there is a resemblance!
Here's another hot guy. It is Atlas for Genesis 8 Male by TwiztedMetal and Hotlime3d.
Atlas comes with Standard skin, several Vitiligo Pigment variations, a metal gold skin, a metal silver skin, and a darker skin variant. He has the usual eye options.
His figure is tall and lean, wtih noticible hip bones. He includes bodyhair options, but there is something that goes haywire for me with the armpit hair it doesn't conform property.
The eyebrows include metallic colored variations which is nice. I liked the skin options that were included. I'm not fond of the the characters lip textures as they don't blend as well with his skin and maybe look a bit like he's wearing bright lipstick. This is less obvious with the pigment variations than it is with the base texture.
Overall, I like this one. Really different. Great variety.
I've actually never listened to even one of her songs (knowingly) and can't see enough details of what she actually looks like in a tiny picture on a tiny news site on my tiny iPhone SE but you probably are right.
What I see is a masculinized Debbie Harry aka Blondie. A lot of that though is the sterotypical pout and makeup styles that makeup artists/photogs coax out of woman like Debbie Harry & I guess Taylor Swift too.
I saw that in the promos, and it's the reason I'm not purchasing this. Such a pity, he looks great otherwise.
I think there's something that Twizted Metal is doing incorrectly with the strand hair editor, or some such. Their armpit hair for Kalen for Dain 8 doesn't conform properly either -- it's way off to the side.
Did you send them a message about that on Renderosity sitemail? Maybe they can fix that there.
I have not. When I get a moment, I will. It is stange that these items aren't tested.
Here is Nickolai for Dain 8. He looks really great, including several additional skin options, eye clolors and a Dain-Free, and Genesis 8 Male version. His skin is very fair, so if you want a more ruddy hue, add some blue to your render to counteract the pale green. He has a nice body, and the thing I particularly like are the details in vascularity in the hands and fingers, they look like the veins of a real person! Nice work.
Next up is Levi for Genesis 8 Male by TwiztedMetal.
What attracted me to this figure were the eyes. They looked soulful in the promo. Included are fibermesh bod hair, eyes, skin options which include tattoos. There is no character preset, which is something I prefer.
I found the lips rendered slighly darker than I would prefer. Almost a touch gray. I like his body shape, and he rendered pretty well other than that.
Casual Golf Outfit & Textures.
This set includes, Khakis, golf shirt, and shoes witj cleats. It comes as default without any smoothing. You need it or it will cling to the figure too much.
The pants don't have much detail, there is a barely there fly in the front. But Khakis typiclaly have pockets seams and other details. These are lacking. These look more like the polyester pants we wore in the 70's.
The shirt is somewhat better. Smoothing gave me a fair amount of pokethrough on Boyd which wasn't present with the initial application. Weird. But the drape is better with smoothing applied (left). The right image is at default.
The texture expansion, which usually I prefer to the orginal was only okay.
The shoes need a foot pose.
dForce Toga Outfit for Geneis 8 males
I received this outfit free with one of my bundles. This set really looks good. Even without dforce, the set draped nicely, there are tons of morphs to correct issues and it loaded and fit Boyd pretty well. I needed some morphs to correct the footwear, but no problem there are tons of them. The feet looked nice, and not strange as sometimes can happen with thin-soled shoes. I like this set.
Future Soldier Outfit & Textures
Here is Future Soldier Outfit which came with Dain 8. The set consists of a suit, and helmet. There is a texture expansion with multiple colors for the suit. Although there are emissive elements indicated in the surface tab, those emissive elements aren't colored. They are listed as shaded WAX. A mistake I think, especially for the darker colored suits, since they tend to appear drab. There is some distortion and twisting when the figure moves, which looks odd with such heavy armor. The armor adds a lot of weight to boyd. To counter this, dialing out the body type and muscularity might work.
Here I showed it as is, and then I added an orange shader to the highlighted emissive field in the suit and helmet's material tab.
I think this is a typical bundle clothing item, so it looks okay for what it is.
Okay moving along, here we have dforce Winston Outfit.
The set includes, a sweater, glasses, jeans, shoes, and a t-shirt. Dforce is needed to prevent this from looking bulkier than it is, but as in the case of the pants, really, doesn't do much to slim the bulk down.
Unlike the golf outfit and the Hudson outfit, there are some details on the pants, including hems and pockets which is nice. The sweater though is missing a bottom hem, and the shirt without the sweater.... Looks.... Odd.... like he's borrowed the Hulk's sweater and it has been stretched out to accomodate a big chest or something.
The texture expansion considering this is a knit sweater pack, really is nothing special sweater wise. There aren't any patterns, just different colors of solid color knits. The pants although dforced look bulky and the shape changes little when dforced.
That is a strange looking shirt, that is. I wonder why it's not fitted rather than droopy, or whatever that is. Maybe it's used to keep the sweater bulked out after simulation, somehow?
This is Leroy 8 HD. He is a nice-looking older man with a realistic figure. His skin has some baked in details which don't thrill me, and I swear I've seen the texture before... Perhaps on an older figure... but not sure where. The hair here is Terry Hair which I quite like. He includes a beard which I missed somehow. But heck I'm home sick today. I like the base figure. He seems realistic and useful.
It is almost like part of his body is hidden- I've bought outfits where that happened before- and dforce just causes it to look almost encave. But not here. I am sorely disappointed with the outfits in this bundle. They just don't look good to me.
Lewis HD for Leroy 8.
I think this figure is excellent! So far, the best thing in the Leroy 8 pro bundle. Nice job Redz
That was my favorite to but they are all pretty good.
On the subject of Men, we have Creech Evolution for G3M. Creech is a bit of a tribute to Creature from the black lagoon, and comes with two colors, grey and neutral. He has fins, leg fins, and a nicely sculpted head- and he was recently on sale.
Creech wants everyone to know, that he is more than just a typecast abductor of maidens and hot guys (hey this is 2020), he's hot fit and single! LOL.
Anyway, I really like this monster. I'm going to have to find a lagoon and see what we can do.
I did try my 'wet skins' products to see if he could get more of a wet and recently submerged look, but it wasnt' kind. I wish he had a wet geoshell designed for his dark and barky-looking skin.
I can't wait to see the boys in peril!
I did a pink skin version and I attached the .duf for the skin to this post in another thread.
He enjoys playing with his pet fish. (That isn't the pink skin.)
I put this through Photoshop and processed it as I would one of my photographs. Lighting and background is an HDRI with a distant light behind the camera and I added these splashes and these and a creature from the deep.
2017-06-07 19:50:56.954 Total Rendering Time: 40 minutes 53.19 seconds CPU only.

Oh wow! thanks for the pink texture. I am going to test it out. I also really like your render. Creech looks good in the wild with his fish friend
Hmm. Did I do something wrong? The pink skin doesn't work on my creech. It seems to ask for nosferatu.
On the subject of Men's new releases, here we have Boyd wearing DZ G8M HommeSecretZ Set 6 Dzheng's newest release. With the Wet texture expansion.
The skin is done using the skin freebie included in this set: https://www.daz3d.com/short-wet-hair-for-genesis-8-male-s-and-female-s
Botht the bikini and top are using the wet texture. I think it is more obvious with the transparent top.
I just downloaded the .duf and double clicked on it to load it into Studio and it loaded Creech for Genesis 3 with the pink skin loaded. I must have saved it with the sitting model as that is how it loaded :)
I tried the skin only file on a loaded Creech and it applied perfectly. I have attached the skin file here.
Ok,forget all that it seems I used the nosferatu body skin for some odd reason. It was a while ago so I have no idea why I did that.
Owen and Boyd share an icecream. The icecream was by exem over at rendo. I just stacked them up to get a super big one and hid the cone. I'd love such props sold here though. I love food props.
Owen and Boyd as clones. Nic pointed out to me that baby Owen looks grumpy. I suspect he is not keen on sitting on the wet ground getting his onesie wet despite eating chips.
Shameless and unexplainable use of babyfication. The ground came with my new shader set: v176 Iray ground shader set. It looks really good, but the slick surface did add to the render time
Owen rescues this girl, while Boyd in bot form looks on. Not much to say about this, except, I had trouble with her outfit. Don't look too close, I had to photoshop additional modesty panels, but I did make this pose... It was in one of my freebie sets on Rendo.
That Babyfication works surprisingly good. I think better than the Cartoonification even.
It reminds me of this Jumbo 12 scoop ice cream cone I saw advertised recently. The $ are New Zealand $, equivalent to about $9.62 US. Quite a bargain, if you can eat that much. They were big scoops, too, but I got only 1 scoop.
