I didn't get the G8 Centaurs, so I don't know. What issues did they have?
I have a desire to make poses again. And masochist that I am I want to do some kisses in unusual places.
i could use an escalator if you have seen one...so I can try to have one figure going up and one going down. Yeah, don’t try that at home.
if you’ve seen one on the cheap let me know. Thanks.
There's a free Daz Studio one here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/escalator-escalier-m-233-canique/78512 also some here https://sketchfab.com/tags/escalator but I'm not sure what format and not all are free.
Oh "IN ' unusual "PLACES" ...my brain went somewhere else with that comment and couldn't figure out how you could show them here ........ bad brain .....
Thanks. It looks good for the purpose of pose development.
I can see how your brain could get creative with my spelling.
Oh your spelling is fine .....it was more how you phrased it ......" I want to do some kisses in unusual places." How about " I want to do some couples kissing in unusual places ."
Owen and Boyd pick apples...
W H O L E S O M E
Very seasonal with nice lighting, too.
The HDRI was from HDRI haven. The apple tree, I stuck in the background for context took a seriously long time to render! Glad you like it.
On the subject of Men's outfits, we have Paladin of Solitude.
I wanted to like this, because its a reasonable piece of unrealistic male armor, but the belts on the torso just distract me. They aren't holding their shape and the buckles in particular are distorting heavily. The outfit also has a fair amount of pokethrough. But, hey, it shows off Boyd's sexy shoulders, that must count for something, eh?
Leather Jacket outfit is a fonzi-style short leather biker jacket, jeans and a shirt. The jeans are nicely textured and the jacket fits well. The shirt is nondescript, and loads with smoothing on which caused the neckline to invert for me. If you turn smoothing off it fits well. The textures are basic, nothing I was excited about. I think the thing I like most about this is the jacket and jeans. The outfit has no shoes or footwear included.
Here Owen and Boyd take up sledding... Since there are no male couples sledding I made this pose. =-)
They are about to come flying off the front of that sledge. The front of the runners are sunk into the snow and the back of them are up in the air :)
Yeah.... =)
Having grown up in the Midwest snow country, I was thinking that somebody better hang on, too! Next up: the guys piled in the snow after the crash? Could be cute.
Thats good feedback. I will modify that in the pose set. Also the idea of a tumbled up pose would be great!
I think all you need to do to the sledding pose, is slide the guys back and put Owens's feet on the front steering bar. I look forward to seeing the tumbled heap scene!
By the way. I like the sled tracks in the snow. Did you postwork those in yourself?
I went to a Rodelbahn once in South Tyrol. It was a blast. 18" of snow in the mountains but 60" and sunny in Hafling. I've never seen one anywhere else actually. Everywhere else I've lived you just take your toboggan wherever you can find a good sledding place; which can be dangerous.
The Smokies are supposed to be snowy up top and warm & sunny at the bottom in winter and aren't too far. I'll try those.
Yes, I drew them in with the snow brush!
There's a snow brush? Where?
I used Ron's Magical snow I believe. There was one in the set, and I just made it thin, and drew it in a darker color and adjusted its opacity.
Think i have that, must check. I have an ever-lovin' TON of Ron's brushes, all terrific!
Okay, so I want to do more scenes with men's formal wear. So I want to discuss briefly, what options there are, what kitbashing works for people, etc. I will dredge my runtime for outfits, and we can test them out. Feel free to point out anything, or add your contributions. The clothing can be any generation, but I want to focus it on Gen 8 doing the wearing.
This is Classic Tuxedo. I think thus far, I get the most use out of this outfit.
I will look and do a tutorial if anyone wants it. I love using photoshop.
Next up, we have the groom. The groom suffers from bulky layering in the jacket and less detail in the sleeves of the dress shirt. This can be overcome by dialing in thinness on body to 100 percent-Which can be seen in the final Owen pic
Okay, here is Dforce Casual Suit-dforced. This looks pretty nice. And quite natural It definitely has a more realistic drape than the previous outfits, but, it may not be formal enough for a really formal occasion.
Next Up is dforce Spring Casual. Same pose. This one had trouble with dforce. The buttons dug into the jacket, and the lining of the (Shirt) popped out of the left side, producing a glob where Owen's hand is. The style of this is nice, but the tennis shoes don't really look good to me. I tried retexturing it with some classic suit material, and replacing the shoes.
Here is Scarecrow HD for Genesis 8 Male. I must confess to rather liking scarecrows ever since that one episode of Supernatural with the same name from 2006. He renders quickly but you may find that the straw on his feet interfere with the drop to ground feature, and make placing him in an HDRI challenging.
Set the Ground Position Mode (Render Settings) to Manual insted of Auto, if you are having problems placing your character on the ground in an HDRI.
