@wonderland @nonesuch00   I think it's best to put the remaining efforts on Alicia's thread she started so if someone else has this problem, the efforts are neatly organized in one place. It's been several days since we addressed this (May 23 post) so it's starting to be spotty coverage with many pages/posts in-between. I wanted to see if my thread surfers could assist and they did, sorry we couldn't get it working.  I am appalled tech support hasn't CALLED YOU Alicia, and gotten this issue solved.  This is the Commons thread and it will also be seen by more people. Thanks nonsuch00 so much for lending your expertise, I wish I were more technically inclined but I'm a big zero when it comes to understanding how things work. :(

Just want to say thanks to Novica & everyone who tried to help (much more than tech support!) and it looks like it is working now, at least it is opening! NO thanks at ALL to Daz tech support that didn't even look at the logs I kept sending for 16 days, but to a forum member in the Nuts and Bolts forum. It had to do with removing the igdrclneo64.dl file.

    OK, back to renders!

Oh wow, that is FANTASTIC news!!!!! Fingers crossed it keeps working! Did you tell folks on the other thread that is what worked? So in the future, if anyone else has that problem, they'll know.

I wanted to share picture of Princess Aqua by Marcius.  I adore this character.  I did finally remember to add her to my gallery.  I would definitely recommend viewing at full size.

I was just getting ready to link to that gallery image as I indexed it in the show the favorite gallery images thread (here in Art Studio.) For folks who don't remember about that, if you post in your gallery often, you should keep a top ten list in that thread because we all visit and like/comment on a regular basis when a new one is added. You are allowed up to ten, so when you want to add more than that, you remove one of your old ones and put in the new one. The rules are on the first page, first post. It's easy!

Haha most of the time I forget to add things to my gallery.  I'm trying to get better at it though.

I tend to add too often to my gallery at times lol Though I think I will need to cleanup my gallery soon enough, again :)

Okay heads up, here's a post in Commons and I mentioned a few Art Studio threads (sorry I couldn't do everyone, time constraints, and I didn't want to divert the topic too much.)  So many people forget about or don't even KNOW about the Art Studio section, so thought I'd nudge a bit. Thanks to IceDragonArt for the shoutout on the thread.

We don't do official "reviews" here, it's our opinions, but I personally like that instead of a stuffy, fill out a form/ strict guideline process. The intention when I started this back in 2012 was to render and have fun, not to test every aspect of a product- that's what beta testers are supposed to do. If someone has a question, they can ask (hopefully in a timely manner.) Thanks again to everyone who has an Art Studio thread and shares their experiences, and to people who post and appreciate, and to lurkers who get enjoyment from the posts. Everyone is important!

    So for a variety (and due to short on time, wish I could do more) I mentioned @icedragonart     @linwelly    @serenenight    @greybro   @mollytabby    @darwinsmishap   @knittingmommy    @tabascojack

The guy on the left is my latest purchase from Renderosity - Elijah. He is quite muscular so I combined him with FW Alex to create the guy on the right who is less muscular.

Wow, gorgeous! And I somehow have that character and don't even remember purchasing it!

Heads up, scrolling banner and gift card sale.

In case newbies (and others) don't know this-

TIP: when light products which show up in the Scene pane replace each other so they don't stack, and if you want them to- hold down CTRL when you click the second product, and you'll see Replace (the default) is showing. Click it to open the dropdown menu and select ADD. Then in Scene you'll see both are there.

An example is Dramatica Iray Lights

The only thing that would have made that glitch better would have been having a gift card I got for a straight 20% off sitting in my store credit at the same time.

Now I'm ready for the next one, though. :)

They extended it… Good through Daz Midnight tomorrow.

And here I was trying so hard to ignore it as I'm running out of discretionary funds. Argh. Can I fight the temptation for another 30+ hours…?

I just noticed the banner about 50 minutes ago and thought it was about to run out so didn't risk a purchase (in case the price shot up during checkout). Thought to myself that I can't really afford it so that was a good thing. Hmmm. Now I have a whole day more to agonize....

I started playing around with dForce in October and have followed it down all sorts of paths. It finally got me to try my hand at modeling clothing which is both fun and intimidating (makes one appreciate the hard work a PA puts in for a good looking item). I ended up using Genesis 3 male as my base, figuring there's always less male stuff available. Here are examples of shirt, shorts, and shoe (literally one shoe - I haven't made the other. dForce was used on the first two and all 3 were rigged.

@RGcincy those clothes are excellent. I can’t even get my head around starting to make clothes, never mind dForce ones!

Ugh! I've been wanting Romi for G3F for what seems like years so I bought it and except for the skirt & underskirt the fit for the clothing and jewelry items for Romi on G8F is a disaster. This is supposed to be the most compatible Genesis iteration ever!

  • jakibluejakiblue Posts: 7,281

I've always been annoyed at that advertising - G8 is so far from the "most compatible ever", it's not funny.

Someone tell me again, where it is you can find your last render if one happens to accidentally close daz without saving said render?

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,647

I laugh at the idea g8 is the most compatible.

I recall that advertising  every time I try to fit g3m’s clothes on g8 and the thighs poke through and the outfit doesn’t conform.

Judging by the extension of the gift card sale, I'm guessing DAZ had sales numbers they failed to hit this month. :)

Try looking in the yourname/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/render folder. Appdata is a hidden directory so you may need to tell file explorer to show hidden files to see it.

@zombietaggerung  It's under File>Save Last Render but I'm not sure if that works after the studio is closed and re-opened.
