    I'm glad you folks liked the oversize clothing. I'm going to try another outfit and see how it does.

    Meanwhile, I'm trying out dForce Wonderland Outfit for Genesis 8 Female(s) that I bought yesterday. It simulated well after I made the buttons invisible to simulation. Prior to that, the buttons twisted and contorted the cape fabric into a mess in the front area. I applied some shaders from PD Iray Shader Kit 2 (leather on cape) and Fabric Factory (sweater, skirt, boot tops, earmuffs). The model is P3D Fara for V8.The HDRI is from HDRI Haven.

    I have Fabric Factory wishlisted (buried in the massive wishlist which needs cleaning out.) I like what you did with the outfit.

    Thanks. The original textures gave me some problems. They have unusual settings. The clothing has metalicity on. The white sweater was so bright I couldn't get it to render nicely, even with trying to add gray to the diffuse and turn down other settings. So I just went the shader route. enlightened

    Oh okay. Many of us didn't get the $10 off DOs yesterday (banner.) I got a green one today that is different, and doesn't have to be DOs.  Since it's good through the 21st I am hanging onto it. It's 15% off entire order, can be anything.

    I didn't have the DO coupon either, which honestly, is fine since there is very little left for me to choose from.  The extra 15% came in very handy today for me though, as I have been waiting for the Dragon Cave and Skeletal Dragon to come out and had saved a bit of my gift card money in the hopes that it would come soon.  I also picked up Marshians Around the world Mazes and Raw Arts Troll.  This is the stuff I live for lol.

    Think before you use that banner.  PM if you're on my thread. I only need to hear from people who got the green banner. I am dealing with a plumber and won't be staying at my computer, but I will get back to you. Then I have to run errands that were put off due to waiting on the plumber. I have a spewing faucet outside that won't shut off.

I'm something of a night owl, and Daz Midnight is 11pm for me, so I've got my daily shopping out of the way soon after the new sale hits the store. But Flash Sales and such usually don't show up until Daz office hours, By not checking out immediately, I still have something new in my cart, should I need it to trigger higher discounts. Or to use coupon on, like the one offered today!

    If you want to get that discount on today's order, contact Customer Service. If nothing else, you can return the first purchase, and then recreate the order and add the coupon.

    Someone just told me- Apparently it's already posted what I am referring to (will they never learn?)  but I am still not calling in artillery on its position. :)   I did note a few other things too though. I did manage to send PMs so if you're a regular here, check 'em.

    Yeah I do that as well although for me it's like 1:30 to 2:00 am and I don't check out till around 11:00 am or 12:00 noon today was 11:00 am

    I can hang onto it as there will probably be something else between now and the 21st to use it on

    My April spending is already up compared to March (Lenten resolution not to buy Daz stuff except on Sundays slowed me down for March and second half of February), but isn't out of range for my usual spending pattern since joining Platinum Club.

    The stuff in my cart is partially based on having at least one item from yesterday's promo and two items from today's promo (there's a PA from yesterday's sale who frequently collaborates with a PA in today's sale, and currently the discounts on their joint items/bundles stack). I *think* those sales will be good through Saturday, when the banner coupon expires, so I will wait and see if something I can't resist drops tomorrow or Friday-I have social commitments Saturday that may keep me from having time to buy stuff.

    This is weird, I took some stuff out of my cart to purchase after the gift card and prices that were 70% off before went down to 64% off and there was nothing in the original cart that should have triggered that first extra discount...

    Edited: Oh a new item, any new item including PC adds the extra discount. Duh.

    There are currrently eight active promos, including Penny 8, that have featured PAs. These PAs are featured in multiple promos: DemonicaEvilius (2), Dreamlight (2), IH Kang (3), Lyrra Madril (2), Silver (2), Val3dart (2), and Zeddicuss (2). Is it possible that products in your cart with the Gift Card were triggering additional discounts with one of these? (I'd put the items you just purchased back in the cart and see if the 70% shows up again. And if it does, PM me what you had in your cart! lol)

    Grabbing enough stuff to get the best deal on Penny 8, she came down to just under $34 with the 15% discount. I thought about coming in here and asking someone to talk me out of buying all that. Then decided if I wanted to be talked out of it, I didn't really want Penny 8 and the other stuff and out of the cart it went.

    But some of you may want to take advantage of that deal…!

    Exactly!

    I'm pretty "meh" about Penny, but I really like some of the clothing. Just not enough to jump through all those hoops to get best price on the bundle. There's always another sale, and those items will get discounted in the future, maybe even be free when I purchase something I really do want.

    And there are a number of products in the various featured artists' catalogs that get increased discounts with any new release. Some of those are DOs with a 58% discount already. Daz is really making us work for our deals today!

    Got the plumbing fixed. If you're here in the US, I'd really recommend Rotor Rooter. They don't have set hourly fees (so nice not to have a flat $65-$75 first hour rate.) They come out for FREE and give you the estimate, no obligation, and if it takes longer, they lose money but it could also take less time. The outside faucet broke and we could NOT get it off, they estimated $217 (which Angie's List and other places estimated between $175 and $325 in case they have to go into the wall.)  Well, after they were done (took about 25 minutes) I asked if they'd do the other two faucets, and how much. (I checked at Home Depot before they got here, they were $30.)  And guess what RR charged for each faucet? $30. So since the job did NOT require going in the wall, and they had to pad the estimate to allow for it,  the plumbers pretty much gave us the two faucets at cost (I know they got them cheaper, but it's what it would have cost me at H.Depot.)  That was really nice! All three faucets came to $271 and they had to use blow torches to get them out of the brick walls. Took about an hour. Hubby was delighted as all faucets were from when the house was built in 2004. So 14 yrs old.

    I used RR when the hot water heater broke (remember, that was two years ago) and the platform underneath had rotted out- and the plumber told me to find a contractor to build the wood platform if possible. Hard to do overnight, I tried, no luck as the job wasn't "big enough."  So the plumber came back with the water heater the next day, and sent me to Home Depot to get the wood and he built the platform for me, no charge. (I gave him $50 out of pocket. A contractor would have cost me a LOT more.)  So I'd recommend Rotor Rooter. Great guys, every time. 

    Okay, back to Daz. :)

    This is a render with VIVI https://www.daz3d.com/vivi-for-penny-8 the sunglasses and top (used shader sheer metalic fabrics on) were part of the new vintage summer clothes. I also added the classic diamond jewelry along with the starlet hair. I used the UG Portrait lights which I like using. In post used hdr technique on image. Just a fun 60's type of image.  I like the penny series kind of sixtish in style.

    Love that vibe!  I like the green reflective light coming from our right too. 

    I spent the past two hours shopping, as I suspect some discounts may disappear when the store turns over. Don't know how long some of those rotating banners have been up but some will probably drop off. I don't know what was triggering what, some items were 75% (those were DOs) and most were 64%, then add the gift card discount to that and I was a prolific shopper.  I did get three things from one particular sale to trigger a certain percent off the stores in that sale, but my mind is too tired to try and figure out what I did due to so many things in the cart. I focused on characters since my computer is crashing with scenes.

    I finally finished my other dress up image. I learned another tip with this experiment, too. To make the whole dress stay big, I had to make sure the dForce weight map was solid red. If the dress bodice had a lower weight on it, it conformed to the smaller child figure instead of staying big. My Gallery has all the products listed.

    Looking at my cart, the few sets I got were Bitwelder, which were 65% off. Orestes skydome HDRI's were 58%. 

    So what did you folks pick up?  Oh, also, Creech Evolution (male and female) were 70%.

    @barbult  Put a link to the gallery image so it's easy for people to give the render some likes/comments. It's fine to do that, just would appreciate it if the link opened in a new window.  :)   Love the render! She looks like she's not sure about her choices LOL. Or, she's annoyed because Mom is downstairs shopping on the computer at Daz instead of playing dressup with her.
