Here's a Classic Mazda Rx-3 parked in the future!
I'm not sure if anyone has packaged these settings up in a retail product.

And my Workstation is back in business with a new factory refurbished motherboard!
A couple of renders featuring the newly released Teen Josie 8
Here's a couple more Josie 8 renders. On these I tweaked her face a little. (Cheeks, chin and jaw)
One last Josie 8 render. Same pose and stuff as the previous render, but this time she's standing on the Enterprise bridge. This is a bit of a lighting test too see how she renders under these lights.
Very cute. I love her expression. :)
The texture seams on her legs are pretty obvious in this render, don´t you think?
Ummmm? I'm not seeing the seams you are talking about, and I checked the texture map to be sure. The main vertical seam is on the back of her leg, and the horizontal one is right up in the frayed part of the shorts. So, please let me know where you are seeing this seam.
I know, I know, I know.... Finish a project before starting another!
This one is being designed in Marvelos Designer, and will be exported as an object file. I will then either try to enlist the talents of someone skilled in clothing rigging, or try to fumble my way through the process.
On to the fun part!
Star Trek Wrath of Khan and later Enlisted Jumpsuit for Genesis 8 Female. It is in the early stages made from scratch without a pattern to go from. Still lots of stuff to do, but it's a start.
Ok what I see is obviously not the seams, it just looks a bit odd. Maybe a shadow? Reflection? I don´t know but I see a horisontal line on both legs, it´s more obvious on her left leg,
well never mind, it looked worse yesterday lol.
Beautiful renders btw, thanks for sharing
I think the artist that did the skin texture got a bit sloppy blending the refference photos in a few spots. You can see it if you look at the legs texture map file.
Ok so I´m not losing my mind then, what a relief:)
Took a little break from clothing building, and did a little render using Omnix for Genesis 8 Female.
All of the light in the scene is from the background scene emissives. (btw, Stonemason's sets are worth every penny.)
The ship that she's standing on is the old Wasp Starfighter using automotive paint, metal and leather shaders.
And here's a closeup.
More progress on the uniform. Sleeve Cuffs, Hip Pocket, and Shoulder Bars in place.
And as for a Genesis 3 version. When I export the final .obj file, I will re-drape it for Genesis 3 (they are the same shape, just A pose vs. T pose), and maybe Genesis 2 and older figures. Then it will be up to others to rig them as conforming clothing. (and they will all share the same UV mapping, so all of them will share the same textures)
Here's some more progress, and a couple of test renders in Studio. The assigned materials are just in place for colors.
I have the base mesh for all of the fabric components done, now I need to do all of the hardware (Belt Buckle, Star Fleet Pin, Ranks), finalize the UV mapping, make the textures, and find someone to rig it as conforming clothing. (and find a good pair of boots for the uniform)
More progress. Working on the hardware for the uniform.
Here's one that turned out very nice. I just need to share it.
One part Mazda Mx-5, one part beautiful girl, and one part scenic backdrop.
What better way to spend the first days of autumn, then with the top down! (Enjoy it while you can, because winter's right around the corner)
Renders!
So... this one is kinda silly.
It's Ominx for Genesis 8 with Ms Hedgehog's hair
Just getting caught up. Love the Josie scene where she is in the black outfit.
And the close up of Omnix is gorgeous.
The clothing looks like its coming along great, looks really good. I have no idea how to rig clothing lol.
And, I love the hedgehog hair on her! I would never have thought to try that!
Upgraded my Dell Precision T7500 workstation:
from 24GB (6x4GB) to 48GB (6x8GB)
from 500GB WD Velociraptor to 525GB Crucial m.2 SSD (SATA)
from Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB to Geforce 1080 ti 11GB
added 2x 2TB Western Digital RE4 drives
This is my attempt at making a worthy successor to the classic Iray Benchmark scene for Daz Studio.
My scene is meant to stress current high end hardware and at least the next two generations of GPUs.
I'm going to consider this version a beta test. If you find any issues or have suggestions that could make it into a better test scene please let me know.
Included are ready to render scenes at 480p, 720p, 1080p and 2160p
My test scene results so far.
GTX 1080 ti 11GB
about 7 1/2 min at 480p
about 33 min at 1080p
2160p render cooking right now 10 min so far 370 / 5000 iterations. Should theoreticaly hit 5000 in about 2.5 hours or so? (This resolution will probably be for high end Volta cards)
GTX 1060 6GB
about 13 min at 480p
about 70 min at 1080p
GTX 1080 ti 11GB + GTX 1060 6GB
about 4 1/2 min at 480p
about 23 min at 1080p
This is what the scene will look like upon completion using the 1080p file.
Missing file on loading:
data/daz 3d/genesis 8/female eyelashes/morphs/dark elf/misc/de_phmlonglashes.dsf
however ... the eyeleashes shouldnt alter the outcome .. will do the 1080 bench now...
No Idea why it's asking for those... There are zero morphs applied to the figure or eyelashes. Just checked that morph is set to zero.
I wonder what's causing it to try accessing that morph on loading.
I'm betting that your 4x 1080 ti setup will get under 10 min. (not by much though)

So you did your render in almost exactly 1/4 of the time my single 1080ti did it in. That's some nice multi gpu scaling.
I assume the result would be exactly 1/4 if one card didnt slow down. You also habe to keep on mind that our card clock couöd be different. Even the 3 identical of my 4 cards rund slightly different speeds. The way a ray renderer works is see no reason why double raw power shuldnt result in half rendering time :-))
Here are a couple of quick renders using some of the new dForce cloths.
The fun part on these renders is not the cloths. The box that she is sitting on is a primative that is set as dynamic @ 0.5 dynamics strength. This causes the box to hold it's shape, but give when pressed against.
This is why you don't stand on grates!
