When I woke up it was -1 degrees Fahrenheit. Then it went up to 0. Then back up to 1. Now all the way to 4. Quite a rollercoaster. Next week it's expected to be over 60 degrees. Perfectly normal.

Currently 12°F windchill, will be below zero wind chill tomorrow. Possibly as low as -10 wind chills forecast for the state. The last couple weeks we've had several cold & wet days alternating with a single sunny & low 70s day in between. Now this. By middle of next week it'll be highs in the 50s & lows in upper 30s with sun. Arkansas weather is Chaotic Evil alignment, people.

Hahaahaha admit it just like me if we were younger we'd both be outside yelling "It's SNOWING" cause it's not gonna be up to our knees and will disappear in a couple days .....

Temp 4F this morning here.  Mini-adventure to nose doctor was useless (again).  He did nothing but took one (1) minute to look up my nose and essentially say "Yup, it was bleeding, don't touch your nose.  Pay the cashier on your way out.  Bye.  See you in a month.") angry  To which I thought:  Um no.  No you won't.cheeky  But it was so cold outside that I gave up on walking, uphill, to TimHortons, and just came home.  Mid afternoon now and I decided to finish off the last ounce in that dusty old bottle of peach schnapps.  Mmm... fruity liquid fire.smiley

So I was driving up the snow covered hill. I got stuck halfway up the hill. There was a car behind me. So I went backwards down the hill. As I was beside the other driver, he looked at me like he wondered what my problem was. Then he tried to drive up the hill. When he got stuck, I thought to myself, "That. That is what my problem is".

This morning it's 3F here this morning at 8:30.  My bedroom is upstairs and is quite a bit cooler than the downstairs (no heat registers up there).  Last night I snuggled under two blankets and one of them was electric.  Mmmm... snuggle.smiley

...yeah that was my drill the last two weeks as I was trying to use the heat sparingly as possible so I wouldn't get socked with an "exorbitant" power bill.  I'd turn the heater on for about 30 minutes, before  bedtime (enough to warm he are a by the bed) then turn it off and dive under the stack of blanket I have.

As to weather reports I forgot who it was (on this thread) who routinely report in the local weather conditions where he lived in Australia.

Temperature here this morning is 11F at 8:00AM.  Fine snow falling from the sky.  Roads covered with white and brown mix snow/slush, very windy at times earlier in the morning as it howled around outside my bedroom.  With yesterday's and today's snow, on top of the ice, my driveway isn't slippery anymore, yes but the ice is still underneath waiting to tumble a careless ancient person on the next melty day.no

I'd reactivated my subscription to BritBox TV a month or so ago to catch the final (very short) season of "Vera", but still haven't cancelled it.  Now I see that the 14th season of "Death In Paradise" has started.  Not sure I like the new head detective.  Yeah, he's just as much a spoiled London boy as all the others were, but this time he's not just overdressed, or weird, or goofy, now he's a snob.  How long before living in a tropical paradise breaks him too?indecision

I like murder mysteries, especially if they are complicated enough and told well enough that I have a chance of catching a few clues and formulating my own solutions before the reveal at the end.  Brain food, not brain rot. smiley

Complaint:  I think my landlord has spoken to my neighbors in the other half of the house about the heating bill, because the house hasn't been as warm lately.frown  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.  At least I can say that I hadn't been contributing to costs by excessive use of electric heaters.  Either that or the new tenants are paying the heat bill now instead of the landlord.  Either way, my arrangement is still that I pay a now 16 year old, fixed fee for rent, heat, water, and garbage.  Although, amenable to a small increase, I'm not gonna rock the boat and offer it until the landlord broaches the subject.enlightened

Complaint:  Just checked my Amazon orders, and discovered that my recently ordered package of mixed nuts arrived yesterday and has suffered sub freezing temperatures in the roadside mailbox for at least 18 hours.  Hmmm..., do mixed nuts suffer from freezing?frown

Google is my friend:  Looks like I'm OK in the frozen nuts arenayes

Complaint:  Medical bills:  They just keep oozing out of the woodwork.  Local hospital now wants another $100 for some reason or another from my heart attack & other emergency visits four months ago.frown  And I also got a papers from the local volunteer ambulance company for me to sign so that they can charge my insurance company $1600 for each of two trips, to the hospital!!!!surprise   Of course I'm eagerly anticipating how much of that I'm gonna have to pay.frown Canadians, Brits and Europeans can brag/complain all they want about the quality of their inexpensive medical services, but we Americans love to get unexpected medical bills for month after month.  It's part of our entertainment.angry

Not so much of a complaint as an amusement, but... here are a bunch of us talking about how winter is making a serious attempt to kill us all, and a "winter sweater" drops in the store today that's almost more not-sweater than sweater.

Meanwhile I'm over here in multiple layers of clothes that cover everything.

I just filed taxes after I found a way to use free TurboTax service.  I didn't work enough to pay for any paid service nor the fee to pay the fee I would need to pay the first fee with my tax refund.

What went wrong? Did TurboTax not file? Or did the IRS not accept your return?

I went to my irs account and found 2 extra w2s on file.  Both in towns I don't know exactly where they are and I have never worked there.  I think my potato is burning!

It was a sweet potato and it seems okay.  The leaked juices were what I was smelling that was burnt.

Are you seeing them directly on the IRS website or are they showing up in Turbotax? If they are not from firms that you have worked at (firms can have a different address than the address you worked at) then you may have to contact IRS.
