Non-complaint:  Made it through another night, and I even got 5 hours of contiguous sleep.yes  Have also started coughing up gobs of phlelgm.  Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.frown  Although, I think I was so sleep deprived that my body's housecleaning mode had shutdown and after some sleep has kicked back into gear.  Still tired, still restricted to sitting quietly all day to avoid Afib sessions, but still breathing.  Five more days to go before medical help kicks into a higher gear.

I want this Pokémon toy.  Slight problem is that my landlady might think it is a real cat instead of a toy.  Probably would need a litter box, toys, food and water bowls, and a scratching pad/post.

I hope you get the care you need and recover from this!

Nath I forgot to mention, one of the Daz PA's does their album covers. You may recognize one of the props in their store from one of their covers and animation in that album's concerts. Ravnheart. She is the one who introduced me to Nightwish back in their early days. I'm not sure if she still does them or not now.

    Cool!

No, I didn't know that. Time to go look at some covers...

I somehow made 3 orders at Taco Bell.  For some unknown reason to me, I got 4 bags of food plus 2 drinks.

Usually when that happens to me, a cat walked across my keyboard.

I just ate 3 burritos and 2 tacos.  I still have a third taco left but I'm getting full!

Non-complaint: I just bought the Van Helsing 9 Bundle ^^ Something I wouldn't have done if I didn't have the Premier membership. Maybe there's some good in this after all :)

Now, I just have to choose between Kaede 9 and Death 9.

Complaint: Welp, that explains why I haven't heard anything from the hospital yet. It wasn't five weeks. It was TWENTY-five weeks (between meeting the surgeon and having the procedure). No wonder he said most people who have the procedure, only have it done when they come in as emergency cases... Which is absolutely terrifying.

If I win the lottery, I'm going private. Just to get it over with... And possibly better pain relief.

    Urgh...

For people who talk out of both sides of their mouth?devil

Or possibly, somebody down the line went drinkless.  A robot delivery mechanism wouldn't have made that mistake, it would have just poked a hole in the drink and stuffed a taco into it.laugh

Complaint (possibly a querie): A whole bunch of (Inactive) items suddenly appeared in my Product Library.  What's that about?  And some things for DAZ Studio Premier...which I don't have.  What gives?

'nother Complaint: Someone doesn't know what a Classical Guitar is.  Talks a good game, but close-up promos of the strings show that it is merely an acoustic guitar.  All steel strings!  Classical guitars have round-wond strings in the lower register, and nylon strings in the high register.

There is a bunch of content related to new Guided Yours, but that should not be Inactive (that is, not showing in the store). A number of plug-ins for Premier members (with multiple versions for diffrent release channels) were mistakenly added to people's orders but I thoiught they had been rolled back - again, they would be inactive as they do not get listed in the store.

Presumably only fairly modern classical guitars, older ones would not have had access to nylon.

I posted a thorough takedown in a different thread, and the PA conceded my points and explained that it started as a classical guitar, then turned into a Gibson L-00, and that he should have changed the name.

Also, the round-wound strings on a classical guitar are also nylon.

No, but they had catgut.enlightened  Imagine great farms of cats all bred for the quality of their guts for making guitar strings.   The cats formed a union and hired scientists to invent a substitute.  The substitute (nylon) was so successful that in Japan all the formerly farmed cats were sent to one island to live out their years, but just kept on breeding, as cats are wont to do.surprisedevil

I looked it up.  Catgut isn't made out of feline but goat or something like that.

What do you call older?  Classical guitars have had the nylon strings since I was young...since I was aware of them...early to mid 1960s.  and I'm sure that wasn't new then, either.  They were never steel strings.  Those are regular acoustic guitars.

You're correct that they were never steel strings, but nylon was invented in the 1930s. Before that, they used gut strings (and you can still get at least synthetic gut strings today, if not actual gut).

Yes, I found that they started using nylon strings after WWII.  A little before my time.

...that happened after I had a bad fall over three and a half decades ago ago on the college campus I was at.  Cracked several ribs on one side and had a meniscus tear on the opposite knee so yeah was absolute pain (also couldn't use two crutches because of the ribs).  I was put on a regimen of some pretty heavy duty painkillers and pretty much lost track of a couple weeks of my life.  After the regimen was over and I finally became more a bit lucid, I saw a fairly sizeable stack of empty pizza boxes in the corner of the apartment's porch.  I asked my flatmate where they all came from, he  he replied "you don't remember?"

    I really didn't.

@ LeatherGryphon. Take it slow, take it easy, and get better.

I accidentally unplugged my desktop.  I figured it out when I noticed the computer was off.

Complaint: I could barely sleep well last night.  I had a major migraine. I ended up taking a quick shower and taking a tylenol pm.  I did finally get some sleep.  I decided to stay home as I couldn't wake up in time for my morning ride.  I did call and cancel that ride before I fell back asleep.  I slept the morning away.  Now I am awake.

Noncomplaint: I can watch Red Zone on my TV.

    Complaint: Jacksonville made a TD.

    +1

I haven't been spending much time in the forums, especially the Commons.  Saw another thread title in The Commons which noted a drop in traffic / increase in hostility.  So I poked in today just to see if some of the regulars were still around.  So sad to hear you are going through this.  Get well soon.

Hope the hostility part is merely one person having a bad day.

I would like to not go to work tomorrow. I have something to do in the dark of night that requires me to reveal my superpowers, and I don't know if I'll feel up to doing other things after that. But I have one day out of each week that I am expected to interact with people outside of the organization. I have to make sure that isn't the day I call in. It's top secret and very important.

I am doing a Covid test.  I have to wait half an hour to check on the results.  If it is negative, does that mean I failed.  or if it is positive, does that mean I failed?
