Social rules prohibit casual discussion of religion and politics but those are in fact topics that need rational discussion most.

At the risk of getting my post deleted, because it is a reply to a touchy subject... Yes this is true, and as a clinical observation of the Internet as a whole (and no one place in particular), there are few places that one can do this, that do not actually solely support one particular point of view, therefore the voices of rational discussion are displaced in favor of safe topics like pudding and cat jokes. Ultimately casual mention of touchy subjects is diminished as legal fears cause the definition of touchy subjects to broaden and subsequently further reduce individuals exposure to rational ideas and open discourse. Angry polarized minds seek each other out in places where they can share their similar views and brood together... Few and far between are places for one with an open mind, willing to discuss the topics, viewpoints and ideas that shape this world are to be found.  Not big wonder that as many polls and studies suggest, the almost global polarization of ideas strongly coincide with the broadening of the definition of risky topics. If you think about it, in terms of this humans basically fall into three major mindsets... Aggressive, apathetic, and meek... Limit an aggressive mind and they become angry and humiliated and seek out others that share their view, limit an apathetic mind and they won't bother much to waste the time expressing a point of view again, limit a meek mind and they feel they were wrong for having an opinion and feel ashamed... even if there was a sizable enough fourth group of "rational minds", there would be nowhere really to discuss reasonable ideas... As social media rapidly displaces live human discussion it becomes easier for people to be funneled into certain groups and isolated by peer pressure into following acceptable ways of thinking, this in turn evolves into another form of polarization and lines and boundaries just keep being drawn... Hopefully some bright human will at some future point create a place or form of media truly devoted to open discourse and rational thought... Unfortunately until that day, you just have to keep your head down and watch what you say... Or learn to write in such a convoluted and confusing manner that any obvious alternate meanings or conclusions are buried in layers of perplexing gibberish that threaten to fry the synapses of anyone trying to dissect it's contents, ultimately forcing most readers to just take it at face value.

Does anyone here know if the Christmas freebies: IG iray Essentials for Aiko 6, Gia 6, Stephanie 6, can be used with just the plain G2Female, or are they specific only to those shapes?  Just wondering if I should bother to install them.

Nonsense, and I wrote the book on nonsense... You are not boring... You probably just have exposure to the wrong people, you need to find people with similar interests or are themselves not boring. Sometimes life causes us to be associated with others who are more acquaintances then friends, there are few people out there anymore who can step outside their own interests to interact with others who are not exactly the same as themselves and become friends across the borders of interests... You are not boring. I know this sounds stupid, but maybe if you are looking for people to hang out with, look into taking an art course at a nearby college, a couple of friends of mine have made friends at such places... Maybe even one of those art stores like Michael's or one of those painting party things they have at restaurants?  Or not... I know you have had a bit of a hard time getting around lately, so maybe that's not practical, but if you are bummed out about having no friends whom you can call on the the phone or poke with a stick should the need arise, you really should look into ways meeting new, non boring people... Or adopt hundreds of puppies. That will make you forget humans... Or possibly turn into Cruella Deville and make a puppy coat. Either way you won't be bored or boring.  And FYI, nobody here finds you boring.

think it is the same all over for coders, creatives I tried volunteering, internetting but tends to be such solitary work the disconnected feeling doesn't really go away. I guess putting it in perspective film producers  aren't so different from puppies and four year olds Oscar Mike Golf! I woulda thought authors have book clubs, like filmmakers go to movies and try to socialize :)

I just got connected to Saks fifth avenue WiFi and do not know how I did that. I just know because they require a sign in.

    Starbucks has free wifi.

    Yeah but home now.

Free wifi starts a block away from our street. I guess that's a complaint :)

...yeah left the computer to go to the pub to get away from talking politics and what happened? Ended up having this fellow sit down by me and try to talk politics .  When I tried to change the subject to something else safe for pub talk, like sports, I got a response that made me feel inferior, even though I have been "around the block" in life a number of more times than the person I was speaking with.

I just wanted to take a bloody break.

Awake, running errands, cleaning up, washing dishes.  Home cooked breakfast this morning,a nice sage sausage, potato, onion, and egg scramble seasoned with cominos, garlic powder, Cholula chi;i ;ime sauce and a touch of Liquid Smoke!  OMG so good, and some left "for later".

Fridge full of beer (Fat Tire, Stella Artois Lagunitas, Shiner, and this odd stuff called Hopalong which is quite tasty).  Chicken wings and all the sauce makings in the fridge and ready for tomorrow! laugh

Two cups of coffee in me, I feel slightly perky. indecision

Trying to decide what DS stuff to re-install, I need an idyllic forest scene as source art to feed into PSP for an album cover.. urgh. It never ends.

All music software installed, small keyboard controller installed but it's not easy to use here.. one more hardware purchase next week, but I can get to work with what I have now.  I'm going to do a 4-5 song EP of more New Ag/chillout stuff before I go back into Adrift In Twilight.

Googling "why do men like boobies" comes up with this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-young-phd/breasts_b_1910401.html

Personally I find nothing erotic about boobies so perhaps I was bottle fed?  Then again, I'm gay and a bulging bicep drives me nuts.  So, go figure.

Expanding on this observation, I go nuts over huge biceps myself because I want them to be mine to have and show off, so perhaps men gogga over boobies are secret exhibitionists also. surprise
