    Phew, spent a fortune the last couple of days. So March Madness did finally get me in the end. Was also glad for that DAZO/Pa bundle completion offer. Not that I bought many of the newer Mega Bundles (Thimor, Ivar and Freja are so expensiv I rather opted for the base figure (Thimor), smaller sub bundle (Freja) or cherrypicked single items (Ivar). But I was able to "buy" at least 50 bundles I own all parts of so those won't any longer crowd store listings thankfully.

    What I don't get is that Monday sales expansion. How should that make sense - at least for most people? One can get double tokens, OK. But that is the only incentive. And I had quite a lot of tokens once I did my large purchase yesterday night. Would DAZ have taken those over for the last day of the sale I would have probably picked the one or other new release again. But they all expired basically minutes after I aquired them.

    If you are really buying a lot (which I did the last days) your pile of tokens acutally gets bigger by the day. But that complete reset at the week is at least unsatisfiying and in my case preventing me from spending again. Well, not a completely bad thing. As I said, spent a fortune.

    I wonder if March Madness is really over (or not) after today? The banner really only says it is the end of the catchup sale and not that it really is the last day of MM. At any rate my wislilist is now down to one item and I need to start building a new one rather than buying more stuff.

    It's a huge pack and I noticed it has some 8192x8192 textures in the "Whats Included" along with some firebmesh hair and HD morphs. It may be due to that.

    Ok last time I asked this it got treated like a ridiculous question, but why would we not expect tokens to be a permanent feature of the store going forward? Other than a leprechaun in a promo picture, none of the token copy on the site ties it to the March Madness sale, it specifically got it's own page on the site. I wouldn't be sorry to see it go, I don't have strong feelings either way, but I feel like I missed something in the promos.

    Anyone know if "Choose Your Easter Treat" (HAPPYTREAT coupon) stacks with tokens or not? Considering a potential cart, but if the discounts stack, it might be better to split the Easter items into a second cart (and use the tokens from the first). I don't have any tokens at present to test it myself.

    I know, but I don't put much stock in Daz sales copy being accurate. ;)

    That one usually is correct, and I know first hand that it doesn't take the token discount.

    Yep. It looks like the March Madness sale is still alive and well. I wonder if it will last until until the DAZ+ Summer sale in June ?

    DAZ managed to acomplish one for sure - which is actually good for me - I didn't spend one single dime this year. Worst March Madness sale ever!!!!! Antique items, large buy-ins, [unimpressive] discounts (for the most part). Might have been ok if you're rich (or rich enough to be a DAZ+ member), but for someone like me, on a fixed income, who renders just for fun, it's been the pits. Sorry DAZ, but you [sabotaged] yourself this year.

    A bit of positive feedback I'll leave is that I felt like I got some stellar markdowns fairly recently on older yet high quality items. I've always felt it was a significant deterent to getting older items that they seem to remain similarly priced to newer way higher quality stuff, but the sales they did where older stuff got significantly higher discounts made them way more attractive offers. I mainly look for those that have iray add-ons, and that costs extra. 

    With Daz+, a steep release date sale, coupon codes, and potentially other stacking discounts I don't specifically recall, I was able to get a bunch of old yet gold interior sets like West Park, Moonshine Diner, and The Library for as low as $0.40 each! Some were naturally newer or bigger and a bit more, but at full price I would have simply always prioritzed newer environments.

    I've gotten a ghost hunting prop pack and am super excited to work on some eerie animations with them!

    ..yeah, swore I was going to try and avoid getting any more however that BYOFS was just too good to pass up.and Double Token Day was extended through Tuesday.

    I liked the initial idea of tokens, as in "Get discount for buying and then choose when to use it". You can get some great deals on things that rarely go on sales.

    My poblem with this iteration is: "the weekly reset"

    1 - It effectively fells as if I was robbed from things I earned, which just makes me not want to participate.

    2 - The whole nature makes it so you gather tokens for few days and then spend on weekend - if things you actually wanted were on sale on Tuesday - well youre s!*@ out of luck....

     On Monday, if one buys $40 worth of items which would not even receive the token discount, one gets the 8 tokens one needs for extra 40% discount on later purchases.

    The 70% off coupon on DAZ+ items in today's sale is pretty lame if one is a DAZ+ Member; it replaces the Member discount, and so at most gives a minimal discount, and  will actually raise the price of some items... frown

     

    PS ; Also, the DAZ+ weekly freebie is not listed on the DAZ+ link from the store page, nor can I find it when sorting by new products or by price.

    It seems to have been released yesterday. Perhaps you acquired it then, and thus now it's hidden? Viewing the Daz+ page in incognito or private mode should reveal it.

    The 70% off DAZ+ was yesterday, but yes replacing the DAZ+ membership discount made the items not worth buying.

    If you have bought the freebies, they are no longer shown on the DAZ+ page, use the incognito mode to see them.

    Yes, it definitely is unfriendly to DAZ+ members Most prices acually increase if you try to use the DAZ-FG coupon no no

    and i miss the DAZ+ Wednesday release. Its about the only thing I look forward to at DAZ anymore.  MM is not very high on my list this year either.  The buyins are ridiculous expensive. I will say the main DAZ competitor is also changing up, hopefully not for good, but the discount has been lowered and they are highlighting their "club" for larger discounts.  I'm about done with buying new content.
