it actually only was the firelight, intensity no flare

none of the lamps were flashing just had a static lens flare which was not always pointing at the camera (no point at modifier)

and yes I can change the tweening amount on each

Something I haven't done in a while, but used to all the time for flickering firelight into the scene from behind the camera:

Make an animated sequence of flickering flames with a black background (in Howler), and use that as a gel in a spotlight.

I would use the same animated sequences in the scene as fire - texture mapped to a small plane.

The beginning of this video shows the in-scene flame planes I used as torches

This one explains how I make animated gels in PD Howler

I tested the stones here and then expanded through the dizzy dazs. Forest is largely from Dartanbeck Woodlands. Thanks again :)

An exceptional tutorial, Dart.  I've always liked your commentaries, but your recent tutorials are much clearer and more concise than before.  Bravo!

I already knew how to make stock gels, but this tutorial added details I had never considered.

Cool, Thanks! Yeah, in watching my tutorials back again I decided to do them with a lot less freeform babble! LOL

An update of the previous picture flying dinosaur.
Another perspective, the textures of the dinosaur adapted somewhat. And otherwise a few changes.

    Khoe, I love it!

Comparing the two, they both look really well with each other - like you took two pictures and time didn't stand still while you did it! Bravo!

Interpolation, not too bad some warping artifacts

    EbSynth, forget it

orginal in the middle was rendered 60FPS played back 30FPS VWD on clothes

An entry into a Halloween contest.  The title is "This Might Hurt A Little", but it also brings to mind the movie line "Is it safe?"  Do not watch that movie if you have a dental appointment coming up.  surprise

    Happy Halloween!

Nice image and a funny idea, thanks.  As a kid many decades ago, there was a large "mansion" within walking distance of my much less affluent neighborhood.  Not really spooky, just obviously rich people. We all dared each other to go there for trick or treat.  Finally a few of us did.  This nice young woman answered the door and gave us some candy.  What a letdown.  We were expecting either the cops showing up or a bunch of money in our bags.  frown

Batch processing in Gimp using BIMP plugin and the Cartoon filter is giving me more what I want

the Octane Toon shader and Camera not bad either (leaves Toon Pro for dead speedwise) bit of work setting up

I am not familiar with some of those words wink, but the result is cool.
