Ooh thnks..
can’t wait for your new man to hit the store as well.... always can use another!
"Rusty Joe Makes his Move.... "I did an additional pose with the tractor. I don't like the way Genesis 8 males bend at the waist. So I tried a standing up pose and liked this one slightly better. Don't look too closely. Rusty Joe has the worst eyebrows perhaps I've ever seen. I'm going to have to remove them. If it is even possible using brow remover. They are cherry cola red. I used the new bodyhair on both guys... Its very fine. you can hardly see that I put some on Joe's back.

You can get it here:

The two poses now include two featuring the tractor F9N So you now have 8 poses. Enjoy.
thanks
I need to fix pose 6. Its a bit borked. I'll repost in an hour or two.
Fun on the farm!
A playful and romantic pose. Nice work as usual.
Oh, I really like this one! Has a lot of possible non-tractor uses, I think, flying hat and all!
What texture is Rusty Joe based on that has the awful eyebrows?
Love all the subtle nuances in your poses- and especially the guy's expressions here!
Thanks. I like playful poses and I try for a vintage fun look. Yeah, its a nice plain couples pose set. The skin rusty has is G3M Dylan here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/dtg-studios-dylan-for-g3m/117702/
I actulaly really like the base skin, but the facial hair and brows are pretty awful. But you can remove the facial hair. There is also a nice blue alt alien skin useful for aliens.
Car Crush has been updated: There was a werid foot and hand I wanted to correct, and one of the poses was a touch awkward.

Ah, OK. I thought I recognized him, but I wasn't sure; I've had him for a while and I may use his texture for something. (Although not the morph, because he's G3M.) I put fibermesh over his brows the one time I made him before. I may wind up trying Altern8 on his shader, just to see; I shoved him way hard into a blue reflectance tint last time because he was so incredibly red everywhere; you did a great job of handling that and bringing out his details.
I have to admit, I didn't know what expression to use for the guy. I think its an expression that came with the Jollie Ollie expression set. Most are too extreme for a non-toon, but this turned out well.
I wanted a different kind of cowboy for a change since it was just a test pose. The lights here turned out really nice it’s just the green hills hdri with the pales of blue added to white point which shifts the color, environmental intensity lowered to .40. One thing I like Dylan is he also comes with a sweaty skin. You don’t see that often
You've said the boys want a dog but work gets in the way, you've them borrowing babies fot Daddies poses - how about some dog-walking for the neighbours for their down time.
Yeah I will, be doing some guy and dog poses for sure. I was surprised how easy animals are to pose. Much easier than humans
Okay I think I am caught up now. You have been busy posing! I really like the render of the tow leaning against the tractor. The subtle addition of the back hair really adds to it. Although you don't really notice it until you pointed it out, it was like, Oh! THAT'S why it looks so realistic. Its those details no one notices that you are very good at!
That’s the way I like back hair... barely noticible. But I like this hair set. The hair seems more natural and finer than the others I own.
Did I hose something? Did you render what it looks like with the default material settings? I used the Image Editor instance tiling set at 10 on the base color, so that I could keep the stitching lines for the button holes in the Diffuse Overlay tiled at 1. I know that makes it show up wonky in the preview, but it the most effecient use of the maps. By doing it that way we are able to make a smaller sized map render at the best possible resolution. I just checked my copy of the final and it seems to be working as intended when rendered. The other bonus part about doing Image Editor instance tiling is you can swap in any fabric seamless tile you want, to instantly change the texture. You only have to put it in the base color and change the Diffuse Overlay Color to match or contrast your fabric tile. Super easy to get tons of options.
If someone could check/verify the pattern shows up correctly when rendered, I'd appreciate it. If it doesn;t, please turn in a support ticket and I'll put in an update. Also, feel free to forum PM me if anyone needs any help with any of my products.
cheers!
Thanks for the comment. It looks good. Its just in the viewport it looks off.
It looks just fine rendered. :)
Thanks for checking on that. You are going to find the same thing happening with the orange stripe in the base set and most of the textures in the add on. The other bonus part is that you can change the Image Editor instance tiling to 3-5 and get a large scale plaid that is really trendy right now, according to the reference pictures I looked up while researching pattern options.
Oh hey, I just had a good look at your "Rusty Joe makes his move" pic. I can't blame Rusty Joe at all for his choice. The pose is really evocative. Great use of story telling through body language. Nice work!
Hey Destiny: thanks for the nice comments about my render. I'm working on learning to do pose work so its great to have feeback.
Can I ask you a question about the casual styles texture expansion for my guy? . I have a weird problem wtih it. When I have the shirt fitted to a male I can apply the textures in the expansion freely. However when I remove the shirt from being parented the casual textures won't apply, but the base ones in the set do.
The error I get in the log file is: Invalid hierarchy for selected node(s) and "preset_hierarchical_material" type; no root(s) found.
Oddly, I can place the shirt on a character, and the textures apply from the expansion pack as usual.
Here I'm trying my first dog pose The dachshund is super cute. Maybe a tad oversized? Here I shrink it down some.
Yeah, it is a hierarchical material preset so that the button colors change with the shirt color. The buttons being rigid follow nodes are essentially separate props parented to the shirt. The hierarchical material preset is supposed to be focused on the shirt so that you would need to have the shirt selected in the scene, which is pretty standard, and not need to have the G8M in the scene for the materials to work. I saved it that way at least 8 times and it would work properly, and then inexplicably not work unless the shirt was parented to G8M. I couldn't reproduce the error long enough to trouble shoot it or get PA support to look at it. I could save the shirt materials as just regular materials, and then the buttons would be a separate material, which would require you to select each button in the scene tab to change those colors. I'm open to input on this. As it is now, Daz Q/A is perfectly happy having the hierarchical material preset being the only option because it supposed to be used with G8M. I know that causes problems if auto fitting to other figures or using the item alone, and I didn't relish the idea of making HMPs for shirt plus buttons AND shirt only material presets AND button only material presests. But I can do that if it is really warranted.
Edit: re-read your last comment and it is very strange the materials in the base set are behaving as intended, but the add on is not. I'll check into that. But I'll still take feedback on if having 3 material options (shirt +buttons, shirt only, buttons only) would be welcomed.
No, regular size dachshunds are actually pretty big. There is a minuature dachshund breed as well and seems to be an intermediate-sized dachshunds too. Maybe that's how they selected in hybridizing to create the miniuature version.
Everytime I here dachs I think of roof even though I know it is a badger.
Yes, when I tested it- just loaded the shirt and ran through all the base ones they worked fine unparented. All the ones in the expansion did not work that I tested. Something is different between the two.
You probably did the best you could with a hard decision on this, because people will appreciate the convenience of not having to colorize buttoms. Most people will only apply textures while the characte is wearing the shirt, and are unlikely to use it unparented. (Although I will- I like to leave clothing strewn around), but its easy enough to apply it to G8M, colorize and unparent, now that I know or use the ones from the base set for unparented ones.
But is is a mystery why one set works, and the other does not.
Yeah, thanks. I must've only seen the smaller ones. I will go with this being a mini. =-)
A mystery indeed. I'll have another look at it tomorrow when I'm more awake. Maybe it is 10th time saving presets is the charm.
Charismatic cult leaders appear during the future like this one. Some are alien agents, others, intent on exploiting wartime anxieties and others consider themselves the real deal and only want to....help people...
This is the new texture expansion to the Urban Cool Hooded Running suit for G8M. The hood does go down.
I’m curious if dystopian fengs noodle bar has been bought by anyone and does it look good up close with Iray shaders? The modeling is difficult to see from the tiny pictures. It s in fast grab
